There was little to no interest in this game to begin with.

I still have mine but haven't touched it in over a decade.

I really hope Nintendo makes a better effort at going for the JRPG market this gen. Last gen got stale due to a lack of creativity but the gamepad would actually allow them and devs to separate themselves from others with these games.

It would be an uphill battle but I see no reason why they couldn't build upon what we saw with Operation Rainfall. If the games are legit then ppl will buy them.

I'm excited about Watch Dogs.
How Ubi utilizes the gamepad will be the determining factor on if I buy it for Wii U or PS3.

I completely agree that its a big IP for Ubi but its not like the game isnt going to released on the Wii U.

I'm shocked by the negativity towards Ubisoft. Everyone knew this was going to be a multplatform game months ago.
Some of you are complaining just to complain.

It looks good to me.

I've played all of them and Symphonia is still my favorite. Vasperia and Abyss were really good too.

Its sad how far this company fell last gen. Hopefully this is the 1st step in them getting it together.

I fully expect Versus/XV or whatever they're calling it now to be shown so at least they're finally giving the people what they want.

I can't speak for the future of the Wii U.
The current situation and slow start are frustrating though. You can't do what Nintendo did and expect success. I just hope that all this negative press is a wake up call for them.

Those consoles are still selling because those companies built a consumer base. They didn't bet the farm on casuals like Nintendo did last gen. Even when there was a lack of games PS3 and 360 owners could at least keep faith/interet due to XBL and PS+ providing a service that interested them as well as 3rd party support. You should expect those sales to stay around that amount, if not increase, when the next gen consoles release and the prices drop.

@SpaceKappa I think Nintendo would be surprised at how much of a boost they would get in sales and consumer confidence if they were to get one.

I like the eShop, but I refuse to tie anything other than VC games to hardware. I dont care how much of a discount they're offering.

I believe they stopped selling PS2s this year. Sony most likely bunches it in with the PSP to cover up how bad the PSP is doing. Its a shame that they continue to make great handheld hardware but dont support it.

A weak launch and no notable new games will do that to a console. But at least they can only go up from here and the Wii U's upcoming line up is promising.

I'm optimistic about this game.The new gameplay could be a good addition.

I just hope they dont try to integrate his friends too much in this. I've never cared for any of them outside of Tails and Knuckles.

I'd rather see them be creative instead of making Mario Kart knock-offs. Just throw Sonic in Mario Kart U and call it a day.

This is an underrated handheld.

I completely disagree. People are spending $300+ on phones and tablets. Sony and M$ have consoles coming out that have a high demand as well.

You can't just blame everything on the economy.
Nintendo needs to release games and give people a reason to buy the console.

I completely agree with the console having no identity. Iwata addressed that yesterday so hopefully they take the necessary steps to turn this thing around. The first step is admitting that there's a problem.

Let's not do the "Hey, look at them too" thing. Both are struggling.

They forgot games too. The console has been out 6 months and they dont have one game that I would classify as a must have.

Nintendo is getting a nice serving of that humble pie right now. Hopefully they learn from these mistakes.

It's good to see that Ubi isn't delusional. There was no way they could release this game close to GTA V and expect it to sell well.

That's exactly what happened. It would have been nice to see the trailers and announcements on the big screen. As well as the crowd's reaction.

Oh well. I'll probably still watch.

I couldn't agree more on the Wii Mini. The Wii is collecting dust for most so I don't see why anyone would buy a mini. That money could have been spent in other places. It should be interesting to see if M$ tries the same thing.

It's a very big deal. Not hitting these goals means less profit for the company and upset shareholders. Less profit for them can lead to less games for us. Also, indies and third party developers will be more likely to put a game on a console that sells well.

I think most assumed this considering the sales position the company is in right now. Let's just hope that they didn't rush the game.

This is good for localization. Maybe we'll finally get Dragon Quest in the states.

I understand that its a different OS, but that still isn't a legit excuse. Not when VC was ready at launch for the Wii.
If you have a Wii U right now there's a VERY good chance that you had a Wii as well and already had access these games through VC or their monthly promotion.
This is just lazy.

It doesn't take 6 months to add gamepad compatibility and a Miiverse for these games. There's absolutely no excuse for this launch lineup.

Because Nintendo is sitting on a gold mine and just letting it go to waste. There are people that are actually willing to pay for these games instead of downloading them illegally and Nintendo still can't get this right. The Wii U's library is minimal at the moment so they could at least offer some legit VC options to choose from
