Nintendo better pray that those Ubi games sell well during the holidays. If not, they could be looking at a Nintendo only box and the end of the Wii U by 2015.

Why no new IPs?
Maybe something that caters to another/new audience that shows 3rd parties that something else can sell on Nintendo hardware.

I like Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, etc but variety is nice.

Hopefully you're right. I want a 3DS REALLY badly but I'm waiting on Nintendo to release more designs in NA.

It depends on how you look at it.
It can be great to have more then one console because you get a variety of games. However, if someone doesnt have the time or money for two consoles then they are probably less likely to pick up a Wii U.

Droughts and a lack of 3rd party games have led to most people that own a Nintendo console getting a 2nd console. Its been this way for about 3 gens now.

That's due to the 3DS having a slow start and Nintendo using all its resources to save it. The Wii U will get its games, but the question is how soon. The launch and everything until now has been a disaster but 2014 will be a good year for the Wii U.

Whether the means it will pick up in sales has yet to be determined though.

Why Nintendo refuses to expand is beyond me. They could really use a western studio that doesnt just make games for old Nintendo IPs.

I just hope this and TW101 sell decently and this isn't one of those situations where Nintendo fans are happy its an exclusive but don't support. Platinum is one of my favorite developers and I'd love to see them make more Wii U games.

I expect this to be epic just like the first one.
Waiting until 2014 sucks though.

Its not even summer yet.

This is good and bad in my eyes.
I like that Nintendo has its own identity but there are certain things that their competitors offer that I would like to see them do(account system, achievements, etc).

Its only a matter of time.

Iwata needs to let him and Platinum do whatever they want on Nintendo hardware.

Its looking like 2013 is the year for the casuals as Nintendo attempts to get their install base up. Then 2014 will be the year for the "hardcore" stuff since those games dont sell as well. Which would make sense because it gives those games a chance at having better numbers.

If they were to make a good mature game then I wouldn't have an issue with it. Like you said, Nintendo is already doing this so I don't see how people could shoot this down then get excited about Bayonetta 2.

Its as if some are turning things down until Nintendo tells them what they should like.

I don't see so many here are so quick to turn down an opportunity to have variety.

I didn't expect this game to hit its goal, but 9 percent is kind of crazy. I guess the legal issues and all the other controversy surrounding it was just too much.

I really hope the 3rd title is not another racing game.
