Probably just because the switch 2 versions are different than the of switch 1 versions. Could corrupt saves if you want to play them on the old switch again. Wouldn't overreact to this.

If you look at the budgets and teams working on games now compared to 20 years ago it is miraculous the prices have been so stable for so long. People calling these prices ridiculous don't seem to understand that profits are not very high in gaming at the moment. Just look at all the closed studios in the last couple of years.

Am I happy about higher prices? Absolutely not, when I was young we didn't have enough money for a console in our household. So I just imagine with every price hike a family will be priced out of being able to afford a Nintendo. But I do understand the situation.

Looks nice and backwards compatability is a very good thing. But still a lot of unknowns: price, screen, internal specs and mainly games. Looks promising but still feels a bit incomplete to know how to feel about it.

Could this gameplay reveal include a surprise shadow drop? This game could be very far in development already

Throw in something of a new Ace Attorney game after all these (albeit great) remakes. Make this old man happy!

@Classic603 a year after the prime 1 remake would be perfect for that!

As GI Joe and Toxic Avenger are already getting the treatment, I would go for

• Bucky 'O Hare (just as simpsons already has a great arcade game though)
• Dino Riders
• Samurai Pizza Cats
• Bionic Six

Used to play Konami's Athletic Land a lot on the MSX when I was little, this looks a whooooole lot like that one. Kinda want to give it a go!

Doshin The Giant was a game that could really benefit from good modernized quality of life improvements. Don’t think there’s a big market for it though

@Emmerichcoal Etrian Odyssey was built for dual screen, I would love to see it come back, but how would they do the mapping on switch. The Wii U would actually be better for EO where you could use the controller for the mapping and the tv for exploring.

@Takoda completely agree with this, luckily it did not ruin the experience for me one bit. Taion and Eunie are my favorite voice wise, but maybe also because I enjoyed the characters the most. Now plowing through end game stuff and trying to beat all big monsters...it does not lose steam after you beat the main story luckily!

No surprise there, as XC2 was probably developed for WiiU mostly, seeing how soon it came out on the switch

Great Ace Attorney has an amazing soundtrack as well. That one, Xenoblade 2 and Octopath Traveler are stuck in my head most often I think.

@ChromaticDracula I actually got the Seiko watch and did not know about the Casio, now I want the Casio (would prefer 24hrs as well, but usually I know whether it's AM or PM so I think I'll manage) and the Mother one

@ChromaticDracula Alien, she wore the Casio in the first movie. She wore the amazing Seiko “ripley” Giugiaro in Aliens. Both amazing cool retro watches.

@QueenKittenWrite well as I don't own any other current consoles I would love to see some of these come to the switch. As to people complaining about games being multiplatform or not, they might need to think about what makes them like a game to begin with. That reasoning is so absurd to me.

@Robzilla ALL THE TIME, at first when reading about this collection I was enthousiastic, but the memory of the horribly unfair CPU opponents and my enthusiasm started to wane.

@DarthXenos nope but there are three types of controllers here, and this functionality only applies to the Switch Version of the controller, not the Xbox or PS4 one

@Moroboshi876 NES version of Wrecking Crew has just been added to the NES library for Switch Online, not the arcade game but at least it's something. And it's not Super Dodge Ball but I did enjoy Windjammers a lot for a similar experience if you haven't tried that one out (I don't have the SNK 40th anniversary yet so don't know if it is in that package).

As for Yie-ar Kung Fu: I would love to play that again, played it to death on the MSX when I was a kid and almost forgot about that one. A Konami MSX collection would be awesome!
