I had totally forgotten that was even a thing. My hype has dropped drastically since whenever the last tidbit of info came out.

Wild anyone would pay such an absurd price (for the retro plastic or for this, both absurd) for such meh old games.

Also Fritz the Cat was cooler.

I would absolutely love an Okami 2 now that Zelda genre is dead in well.. the actual Zelda series.

Dirty deals. Done dirt cheap. Dirty deals and they're done dirt cheap.

Only played BoTW and it disappointed me so entirely I'll never touch another Zelda game until they decide to stop being fad followers and return to true Zelda formula.

A shame to see your favorite franchise you've played for 30 years crumble to dirt in front of your eyes as $70 DLC.

It's all crumbling around us.

@SwitchForce My entire Switch collection of like 150 games all fits on my 1tb SD card with room for another 100. Now imagine trying to carry around 150 either large chunks of plastic in cases or 150 tiny little pieces of plastic in one case which, if lost, is gone. No re-downloads for those games. Just gone.

Sure the long winded arguement COULD be made that somehow my SD card falls out of my Switch and gets lost AND they shut down the eshop and then I too am screwed.

Will definitely grab this when it's on a good enough sale. The original is one of my top 3 RPGs ever.

Obviously we can expect more unfortunately. AI automation does a lot of the heavy lifting on the graphics, everything is already written and designed and scored. Yet they can still charge $60 like it's an original experience!

Pass. I've been playing as Peach when I could since SMB2 came out but it's just way too easy. I wish difficulty in mainstream games didn't have to be degraded to match the lowering attention span and IQ of society. 😕

That's very wild to me as it's not a game that needs or even really can be remastered. It's original style was it's charm. But they aren't rereleasing all these old games because they want to see them played again, it's just way easier to have AI tools upscale and clean up old games to be sold for a mint without doing any of the work required to actually make a NEW game.

As I've said anytime when confronted with a stamp collection: Yep, those are stamps.

Good for them, it's a really unique game! Unfortunately I feel like the behind the scenes gimmicks used to thwart you are a bit too much at times. Plus things like straights being near useless shows it coulda used some more planning. Still, looking forward to any updates or DLC that might change it up some since I've lost most of my excitement to hop in for another run at this point.

Big pass for me though. I'd much rather let out the occasional shout of frustration at a hard game than yawn at the difficulty most of these spin off third party games offer. If it was a faster more difficult action based game like Peach May Cry I'd be all over it though.

@N64-ROX As someone who emulate a ton of games, I'd have to disagree. 8x upscaling on games makes them look amazing. More than one PS1 games have made me think it could pass for a early PS3 game.

I would have to imagine they'd want it on Switch 2 badly since those f2p rake in cash. It's a technical miracle that Blizzard got Overwatch 2 running as smooth as it does on Switch but they were able to do that with it being a "sequel" of sorts so they had time in advanced. Trying to port Valorent over now would most likely result in a bad experience that would just leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth and may make them skip trying it on the Switch 2.

@Varkster Uhh hello, Gyro aiming? It's as near to mouse like precision one can get with practice. I know I get my fare of being called a "ximmer" (using adapter for mouse keyboard control on consoles) when actually I'm just destroying them in OW due to the perfect gyro aim.

I don't know why but I instantly pictured someone's over zealous Chihuahua going to town at it while it makes it's silly face.

That performance sounds less than acceptable. Basically dropping frames any time it's not an empty area? Ouch.

Never played the original but I absolutely commend them for making gyro aiming more popular! I cannot even begin to imagine going back and playing any sort of shooter without the mouse-like precision that gyro offers.

What's with all the little fishing/quiet seaside games lately? Feels like ones popping up all the time.

Weird that this article makes it sound like the DLC is free with no mention of the $7. Was going to grab this since the base game is on sale for $4 but I was mislead and the DLC costs more than the game.

@Andee I thought 'I'll just do a quick Dead Cell run before bed, gather some souls' the other night. Ended up being a 55+ minute run and my first clear.

Wow NSO is beyond greedy. The games free on mobile and what, like 3 dollars on eshop? What a glorious trial!

I thought they were trying to sell you full real games by letting you play for a week and then make you drop the 40 bucks or whatever the sale price is? Why even use this little pseudo game as a trial? Especially when it's a free game on those devices we all have already.

So many people act like Sandisk will solve everything. Nope. They make fake Sandisk as well. Got one from Amazon that side by side is identical to another Sandisk 1tb I got that works. Absolutely impossible to tell it's a fake.

$60 for a GBA game. Haha. Bad consumerism run amuck, bad!

Odd people would rather play an uglier game at 60fps. Imagine if people had issues with 24fps movies and were always complaining.
