I played the Game Boy original and the excellent Nintendo 64 sequel. I've got this one on Mac but I've never played it, never been much for computer gaming. Might need to pick this version up.
Does anyone know if they're making another? I want a remake of the third one. That was one of my favorite N64 games...
Edit: Changed my post since Shadowgate 64 was the third in the series.
Well if we're not getting Netflix... that makes Disney + a little tempting, though it will depend on the quality of the original stuff. MCU aside, I haven't been impressed with much of Disney's recent work.
I'll wait for a sale. Been playing through Wolfenstein II on Xb1 and so far I like it less than the first one. I wouldn't want a game card anyway but it seems kind of weird... I mean why bother?
This seems like it's becoming more and more of a thing where people try to ban problems instead of dealing with them properly. It's like trying to wish away bad weather. It's worthless and counterproductive. How about get outside with your kids and throw a ball around or play hide and seek?
This is great, all the people who don't like Smash and Zelda identifying themselves. Now I know who to avoid when I'm finding a seat in the cafeteria...
@DK-Fan What are you talking about? Super Metroid is still one of the most popular in the series. I won't bother defending Zelda... you're welcome to your (incorrect) opinion.
2021 or 2022 seems likely to me, even if they do quick turnaround Majora's Mask style, the game is going to be too big to be done that fast. If we do get Zelda next year, it'll probably be Skyward Sword HD.
I would be fine with them taking the same map from BOTW and "advancing it", IE adding cities and new forests overtop of the previous world.
Splitting up the kits is a good idea. I still haven't built all the Labo I have, but I'd like to eventually. One toy takes hours to build and plenty of space, so buying six at once isn't very appealing to me.
Best Buy's offering $10 back, so I wouldn't say there's no incentives or bargains yet. I'll probably preorder sometime before my Gamers Club membership dies to take advantage of the further 20% off, but I'm not in a big hurry yet.
Edit: Whoops someone else beat me to it and mentioned this earlier.
I'd pick it up at $60 with zero regrets, even if it's just a straight port.
But standing it up next to BOTW does raise a fair point. That game is far larger and likely far longer, so it does seem as though it should cost more than LA. Although that's as much an argument to RAISE the price on bigger games as to lower it for smaller, so don't let Nintendo hear you...
Metroid Dread seems like a good guess, given we're all expecting a Metroid stopgap. Raven Blade would be an intriguing answer to the age-old "what the heck has Retro been up to?" question.
Also Factor 5 is apparently back?! Rogue Squadron IV seems like a licensing nightmare but maybe it's something else from them.
@Toadie You're not alone! I played TFH solo too and I enjoyed it.
I think Zelda multiplayer can definitely work. I played FSA with my little sister and loved it.
Luigi's Mansion had added multiplayer, and LA very well could have started life as a 3DS game, so I think it's totally fair to speculate that Nintendo might add multiplayer.
@Krull Exactly, even if the game is in quality testing, they might be priming it for a holiday release, and the Direct was mostly about what's coming out now through this Summer.
Prototypes happen, right? It's possible someone pitched the idea, and it got rejected. That would explain the rumors. I think it's more likely Retro's been working on another DKC game (or maybe Metroid Prime HD), to be revealed at E3, if they've been working on anything at all.
@MoonKnight7 I mean, I'm assuming the functionality in MM2 will be the same. In which case running around as a Pirahna Plant might be too good to pass up...
Loving these Game Boy remakes. I hope Nintendo does Super Mario Land next. Most of the original Game Boy games haven't aged that well, so it's fun to see them given new life.
Ok I looked it up and in all fairness to Oren Uziel, they shoehorned the Cloverfield elements into the story for Paradox after the fact, something they also did for 10 Cloverfield Lane, the only difference being that in 10 Cloverfield Lane, they were mostly successful.
The writer seems like an odd choice. Why not bring back the writers for the first one? I've never seen the Jump Street movies, but Cloverfield Paradox was a hot mess.
@Devlind Good point, the development of Tropical Freeze took 4 years, longest gap between games (not counting whatever the heck they've been doing SINCE Tropical Freeze). So 2021 is possible but probably a little too optimistic.
Are we taking bets on the release date? The previous Metroid Prime games were all developed in a 2-3 year period, so I'm going to guess early 2021 for the release, maybe Spring.

@Sabrewing Dang, good catch. I wonder if it's any good. Looks pretty decent. Let's remake them all! Or at least re-release.

@AlohaPizzaJack Beat me to it! XD
Someone in their social media dept being silly has no bearing on R&D...

Re: Vote For Your Favourite Game Boy Games!
I never had an original Game Boy, but I did play Zelda and Pokemon Red on a Game Boy Color, so those got my vote.

This seems unlikely, but I'm going to guess Four Swords Adventures remake. Crystal Chronicles is coming back. May as well bring FSA back too.

Re: N64 Classics Turok And Turok 2 Are Headed To Nintendo Switch
$20 for a remaster isn't bad. I already have the first one on Xbox, but I may pick up the second one at some point.
Re: Looks Like The Daemon X Machina Demo Will Be Removed From The Switch eShop Next Week
I didn't spend much time on the demo yet but I enjoyed what I played. Gyro controls are all I need.

Wait... didn't Factor 5 get revived? Was that just a rumor??
Re: Reminder: Nintendo Sending Out Survey About Daemon X Machina Demo
Enjoyed it, will definitely pick it up at some point.
Gyro controls would be nice though, as others have noted. Am I the only one who kept trying to use gyro like an idiot during the first mission?

Disappointing to be sure, but I appreciate Nintendo's humility. Still working my way through the series anyway.

Sphinx is a solid maybe. Would love a review for that one.
