Metroid: Prime on GCN for me... I missed the 2D games completely and didn't get into them until much later, when I gave Zero Mission a go on Wii U. I've now played everything through except a few spinoffs.
I think it'll happen eventually, but people will have to stop buying the games first π Once sales slow on some of the evergreen titles, they'll do a Selects range.
Oh, I hope we get this. I think I missed this one back in the day. I want to say it started airing right around the time I had to start working on Saturday mornings and had to be an adult π
They did what I wanted most, which was to improve the matchmaking, and tricolor sounds fun... still a bit mixed though. So much looks the same. But I'll withhold judgement and give the Splatfest a shot with an open mind.
I had a bunch of cool stuff in the Nintendo 64 days, a gold Majora's Mask cartridge with 3D lenticular, a banana-themed DK64 controller skin, and various game carts with just about every special color.
Sadly I went broke in 00's and had to sell everything, but I've been rebuilding my collection. My favorite thing is probably a statue of sneaky Link from Wind Waker my buddy got me.
Oversimplification of a multifaceted problem. They're not wrong, but it's not the whole picture. Patches are fine, but they've definitely become too much of a crutch for the industry.
I've got one boxed. Since the Smash Young Link didn't wind up with any unique functions in BOTW, I just decided to keep him locked away forever. The rest I've opened.
@Ayasplat Glad you're enjoying it...? I plan to get it eventually, I'm just waiting until all the updates are out.
@steventonysmith Like clockwork every year, most of their games go on sale several times. Some even get close to half off around Black Friday. It's not what other publishers do, but it's not nothing, either.
Kinda disappointed to see Nintendo moving into the "finish it after release" business model... this is why I stopped buying games at launch. If you wait six months it'll have more features, less bugs, and probably a lower price to boot.
It was ok, wasn't much that really grabbed me. Sparks of Hope and Sonic are on my radar, and I might check out the demo for Live a Live. And I'll see how Pac-Man reviews and maybe check it out...
With BOTW2 banished to 2023, I'm expecting at least one major game from Nintendo this holiday other than Pokemon to be announced, but I guess we'll see...
My buddy and I played a lot of Agent Under Fire and Nightfire back in the day. I think we tried a few of the others and couldn't get into them... so those two are a distant second place, and everything else is third π
I'm curious about the multiplayer, that could be a gamechanger for me... the Pokemon games move just a hair too slow for me sometimes, but multiplayer sounds like it could be just the twist they need.
Kinda cool... also kinda soulless somehow. I think it'd be difficult for a new team to capture the feeling the original two games had... probably why no one has really managed it π But I still kind of wish Rare would try again...
I'd also take a sequel to Minish Cap, Four Swords... heck, I'm one of the only five people on the planet that enjoyed Tri Force, but I don't think that one was Capcom...

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker
I prefer the gold covers for my Zelda games, I have a lot of nostalgia for them since my first Zelda was Ocarina of Time.
Re: Video: Will Switch First-Party Games Ever Get A Permanent Price Drop?

Re: Nintendo Download: 11th August (North America)
Still need to get through the first Blossom Tales... got it all downloaded and ready... but no time to play π

Make me want this game, Nintendo, I dare you π
Re: The Terastal Phenomenon Is PokΓ©mon Scarlet & Violet's Unique Mechanic
Not impressed. The game looks fun and I'm excited for co-op, but this does nothing for me...
So far, the only gimmick I've liked has been mega evolutions. The rest are just kind of boring.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie's Gruntilda Gets Stunning Statue, Pre-Order Now Or Else She'll Catch You
Despite high quality that price doesn't jive...
I'd rather buy a Playstation 5.
Re: Watch: This 90-Minute Deep Dive Into Two Of The Most Underrated Zeldas Is Well Worth The Time
My least favorite Zelda games aside from the NES originals, and at least those had the excuse of primitive hardware π
Re: Video: The Unsolved amiibo Dilemma - Boxed Or Unboxed?
I've got one boxed. Since the Smash Young Link didn't wind up with any unique functions in BOTW, I just decided to keep him locked away forever. The rest I've opened.

@Silly_G Very true, huge advantage to buying later printings.

Re: Random: Fan Art Depicts What A Metroid Anime Might Look Like
@Ear_wiG That sounds perfect... basically the polar opposite of Other M π
Re: Random: Mario Kart 64 Nearly Had A 'No Item' Mode To Appeal To F-Zero Fans
@Andee Agreed. It kinda punishes you for playing well... I'm glad they at least added an item that can neutralize it.
Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?
I'm actually not positive because I was 7, but it was either Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, Guerrilla War, or that baseball game with superpowers.
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th July (North America)
@MontyCircus Awesome, thanks!
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th July (North America)
Wasn't there an arcade archives game where you play as a dragon coming soon? That looked cool...
Re: Nintendo Reveals A New And Colourful Splatoon 3 Switch OLED
Cool idea... holding out for a BOTW2 model though...

Re: Here's How Sonic 3's New Music In Sonic Origins Stacks Up To The Classics
Yep, they're different.
I think the originals were better, but not by enough to be really bothered. It's better than not having the games at all.
Re: Humble Zelda: A Link To The Past Tribute 'Airoheart' Gets Switch Release Date
Looks promising... consider me intrigued.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 18th)
Kirby and Ninja Turtles for me. Oh, there's a crossover the world needs...
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th June (North America)
@nymbosox Not yet, I'm debating between the base package on LRG versus Best Buy... the special editions are a little too much $ for me.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th June (North America)
Gonna hit up Ninja Turtles on Game Pass while I wait for a physical Switch copy...
Re: Poll: PokΓ©mon Scarlet Or Violet - Which Will You Choose?
Probably Scarlet? But Idk yet... I wish they'd chosen something other than purple for the red alternative π
Re: Poll: What's The Best James Bond Game?
@frabbit Not unless you've joined the army and had a kid recently π

Re: Could Grezzo's New Secret Game Be A Spiritual Successor To The Mana Series?
I keep hoping they'll discount or rerelease the original Ever Oasis... I always had a hard time paying $40 for 3DS games.
Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The-E3-That-Isn't E3 - Bayonetta, GoldenEye, And... Viva PiΓ±ata?!
Chris Pratt is more likable than Seth Rogen, that's my only hot take π
I've given up trying to predict Nintendo.
Re: Poll: Has The Latest Trailer Convinced You To Buy PokΓ©mon Scarlet & Violet?
I'm curious about the multiplayer, that could be a gamechanger for me... the Pokemon games move just a hair too slow for me sometimes, but multiplayer sounds like it could be just the twist they need.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (North America)
Also intrigued by Souldiers... but I finally picked up Kirby, so this weekend's booked π
Re: Forgotten Game Boy Gem 'Avenging Spirit' Is Getting A One-Time Physical Release
Can't swing that price unfortunately, but I might go for it on 3DS while I can.
Re: Minecraft Gets Free Ice Age DLC, Adding 30 Prehistoric Skins To The Game
In other Minecraft news, I think the Wild update has a release date of June 7... if that got reported here I missed it.
Re: Video: Fans Create Stunning Trailer For The Banjo-Kazooie Sequel We Never Got
@Gunit1099 I think so, and the background was pretty motionless too... I mean the beehive wasn't hopping, that says it all π

Do the Oracle games count?? π
Re: Video: The Switch eShop Is Bad, And It's Making Us Sad
My biggest complaint is the lack of virtual console π
Re: New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Vid Showcases Fresh Areas And Designs
They seriously need to give a release date, I have a mighty need π
It's nice to see fans are working on it... unlike a certain Hollywood reboot...
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Dev Says Converting Motion Controls Was "The Hardest Thing"
I liked the motion controls back in the day, but for me they haven't aged all that well... or maybe it's me π Been sticking with button controls.
Re: 'Hyrule Highlands II' Is Classic Zelda Music With Celtic And Folk Flair
Thanks for the heads up, I wouldn't mind if y'all reported on more of these music releases.
