@Rozetta I disagree. In the PC world there are zillions of titles competing for attention, and VNs are low on the totem pole for most gamers. As a result there are a bunch of really good VN games out there that almost no one has played.
Anyone else concerned that they're planning a launch that coincides with a product and date they now claim to have no knowledge of? So does that mean AI Shark is not launching in Sep 2024?
It was nominated for Games for Impact at TGA23 so I wouldn't say nobody was talking about it. But yeah, it doesn't seem to be getting as much attention as it probably should.
"Though there aren’t any difficulty mode options, you can take the edge off by spending blue gems in an upgrade shop, netting you boons like a faster recall for Mjolnir or a slower countdown when your heart leaps out."
Pardon my cynicism, but this is an ingame shop, not a currency microtransaction system, right?
As I've not played TotK yet I can not choose it. I'll have to go with Octopath Traveler 2.
That said, I found Fire Emblem: Engage very mediocre, I do not understand why it would come up in the conversation unless there's something in the DLC that salvages it (I put 40+ hours in the base game but didn't get the DLC).
Gang, I get that this is a Nintendo site, but the comments are directed against Sony. It’s not about trying to make Microsoft look angelic, it’s about pointing out the hypocrisy of Sony for arguing against the ActiBlizz acquisition over the possibility some franchises would become exclusive. Obviously they’re all corporations in late stage capitalism and therefore completely undeserving of defense by their customers, but Microsoft is simply pointing out that Sony wants to have its cake and eat it too.
Harmony: Fall of Reverie. I'm also gonna keep a close eye on the Wholesome Direct on Saturday because there always ends up being a game "releasing today!"
@Beanbon I made the joke above, but the reason Windows 9 doesn't exist is because some old programs would fail a version check because it would read Windows 9 as Windows 95 or 98.
@nimnio there's actually a ton of lore, it's just not in the game space. There have been a ton of short stories and writeups over the last several years, and even Arcane was just filling out something that the framework already existed for.
I get why Yoshi would be considered a big deal, but didn’t Peach & Mario walk by an island of Yoshis? Unless the next movie takes place 100% in Brooklyn as a result, it feels kinda unnecessary.
"So, are we getting another Symphony of the Night port, perhaps actually on Switch this time? Or a collection of the DS trilogy featuring Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin? Or perhaps even a new Castlevania game."
Folks, they confirmed in their earnings report today that Zelda is still set for May 12th. They're not going to turn around and give a new date in the Direct.
As an FYI, Afterimage has a Demo on Steam this week. While I still would get it on the Switch if I picked it up, it'll give me a chance to try it out early.

Sephiroth, no doubt. The Mario "stab" was epic.

It needs backward compatibility if they expect me to buy it before 2027.

I played the demo for this during NextFest, was interesting and definitely worth the price it's going to sell for.

This is going to be tough: do I watch Wholesome Games or Wholesome Direct? I don't know why they're scheduled against each other!
Re: Random: Some Fans Think They've Spotted A 'Mario Kart 10' Teaser In The Mario Movie
They have to go with Mario Kart 10 instead of 9 because too many programs will incorrectly read it as Mario Kart 95
