@Kalmaro I came here to literally say the exact same thing. It wrecked it for me to the point I wound up returning it on Steam, but I won’t hesitate to re-buy it if Devolver were to patch in a map (and maybe make the intercut “human moments” far less dull and tedious). To me, map in a Metroidvania is absolutely essential make it fun, otherwise just running around in circles checking every nook and cranny becomes tedious and boring very quickly.

Used to love this game when I was a kid! Hope it gets remastered at some point, way underrated (assuming that’s not just nostalgia talking)

I loved this game, but I’m gonna be honest: I’ve never understood the appeal of Collectors editions with figures. They always turn out to be kinda jicky and similar figures go for way less when not sold as part of the set.

Interesting. Although I think the issue is that while it LOOKS like 1930s animation.....it doesn't MOVE like 1930s animation.

The game understood that difference.

Ok if NetherRealm is able to get the rights to all these properties, PLEASE tell me this will lead to a horror/slasher/R-rated action movie fighting game! They’ve gotten enough guest characters they could all fill their own game!

I’m surprised they didn’t fast track it, although maybe this pandemic ordeal has something to do with it

Any country can’t control exactly what every person says and thinks at all times, not even Soviet Russia could, but are you aware of The Great Leap Forward that lead to 45 million Chinese deaths in just 4 years? What about Tiananmen Square? Are you aware of the One Child Policy that led to millions of government-forced abortions? I have friends that have been over there and attested to their strict policies on religion. You’ve been there, but if you just turn a blind eye to objective history, you’re still burying your head in the sand.

Knowing how much luck is involved, I’ll probably pass.

For anyone working at GameStop....just leave. I’m pretty sure working a banana stand would be a better employment opportunity for you at this point.

Isn’t that really what Kickstarter is meant to be for though? Remember nobody is charged unless the goal is reached so yeah it doesn’t just ask average people if they want a product, but actually has them put their money where their mouth is.

@tkdboy1889 I’m of two minds: yeah it’s kinda crappy, but if it’s financing great real games I guess it’s ok? There’s a market out there for this stuff, so if Nintendo’s tapped into the casual market successfully, I guess it’s fine that those casuals are funneling money to Nintendo so us gamers can still play real Nintendo games.

If it’s from Studio Mir it’s not TECHNICALLY anime, but whatever, should still be great!

I was interested in the idea until learning the worst animation studio currently active was producing.

Good for him I suppose, if he doesn't like video games that's his thing. Doesn't effect my enjoyment of the games nor does it tamper with the quality of his work. I love to game, but I do try to balance out my life, I do think there's something to be said about reading and the effects it has on your brain versus gaming.

The Messenger is the game I've been absolutely engrossed in the way many were with Shovel Knight, Undertale or Stardew Valley.

The flowing gameplay is top-notch, the humor pitch-perfect and not overdone, challenging but never unfair, one of my favorites of the decade.

Silksong, Doom Eternal, and Trials of Mana for me!

May also pick up Outer Worlds later, I'm kinda iffy on RPGs like that. Also hoping for a port of Outer WILDS in the near future

Honestly....they’re all bad

I’m gonna be honest: I LOVE Alien and I LOOOOOVE Aliens, but......they were never that scary to me. Even this game, as great as it is, was never once scary for me.
