Re: Opinion: Animal Crossing On Switch 2 Has Me Equal Parts Buzzing And Baffled

Jeremazing

Wouldn't say it's a surefire; I could see a world where this gets AC players back to picking up their switch, or maybe looking at switch 2. Let it gestate for a bit, then release the new one in Holiday 2026. Or maybe hold that for Winter 2027. However, the "Switch 2 Version" being only $5 for the upgrade, and most of the new content being available for both, convinces me that something new from AC is in the works to be served sooner rather than later. Otherwise, I think the new beefy content would have been saved for a pricy Switch 2 version upgrade.

Re: Does Astro Bot's Super Mario 'Inspiration' Cross A Line? Fans Seem Divided

Jeremazing

I love good games. I am loving Astrobot, but with that said....One of the reasons I love Astrobot is that it does the Mario stuff so well lol. Countless times I am reminded of mechanics of Mario games. But I'm ok with that, I said the something about Donkey Kong Country, and Banjo Kazooie, when those games came out. Loved them both, this just more of that. Imitation is the highest form of Flattery

Re: Feature: Which Zelda Game Has The Best Link? - Every Link Ranked From Worst To Best

Jeremazing

This is a horrible question, why make people like me choice...Given me all the anxiety.

Your point of Spirit Track driving a Train, does make that link pretty bawler (who is not the same link as Wind Waker/Phantom hour glass, there is one character that is directly from those games, but it's not Link)

Riding on Bird from Skyward Sword is pretty rad.

But I think I'm going to go with Link Between worlds; going 2D is a bawler. I know my reasoning is pretty Thin, but it gives me a flat out winner

Re: Mario Movie Improves On Characters Who Didn't Have "Much Of A Personality", Says Director

@Vexx234

I guess I'm saying if it's the tropes of every story, how is it a more enjoyable experience when they just molding the story be retold, with Mario Characters?

I argue storytelling has become obsessed with the Hero's Journey, and with little to few steps away from it. Not that I expect Nintendo to be the one to step away from it, but I wish they did here. I just feel like a story could have been told without it, with the Mario characters.

Re: Mario Movie Improves On Characters Who Didn't Have "Much Of A Personality", Says Director

I feel Nintendo has done a fine job Establishing who these characters are and done very well by doing it without dialog for many years. Building on top of that for a movie is fine, but personally, I feel like from the trailers, they turned Mario into a bumbling hero, which I don't think is necessary. I get they want to show growth of the protagonist, but it looks like Princess peach is going to be the wise sage character that gets Mario ready to save his brother.

Which really not the characters, but more Nintendo's characters are being molded to fit their standard Hollywood storytelling...

Don't get me wrong Still looking forward to seeing the movie in April, but the trailer doesn't make me feel like they are doing anything special.

Re: Baten Kaitos Remasters Have Japanese VO Only, Frame Rate, File Size Revealed

Jeremazing

@Xansies Just yesterday I finished playing the first one on Gamecube, 90% of the game is voice. The main story is all voiced (except for oddly a stretch of the end content they didn't record any voices for) You had the option to turn off the voices if you prefer, so curious if your memory of it not having much Voice acting is because maybe you turned off the voice acting?

Re: Video: Metroid Prime Remastered - Switch Vs. GameCube Comparison

Jeremazing

No issues pick this one up....cause I did the moment I could lol.
I own and proudly display the Wii Trilogy, Loved playing Prime on GameCube.

This is a borderline remake, it looks so good. If more remasters took this level of care, I might be more willing to pick up remasters more often.

I hope we get 2 and 3 done with this level of care.

Re: Talking Point: In 2023, Do You Still Care About amiibo?

Re: Soapbox: Whether The Rumour Is True Or Not, Baten Kaitos Deserves A Remake

Jeremazing

Literally this weekend, I picked up a GameCube and both of the Baten Kaitos. I was feeling nostalgic, as I' turn 40 really soon, and was regretting not having my GameCube anymore. I had the first game but I don't think I can it's proper to go when it came out. Really enjoying replaying it right now. So selfishly I hope if we are getting a remake it's closer to the end of the year. Give me time to finish and digest the OG. lol

Re: Ubisoft Share Price Tumbles After Dire Sales Report

Jeremazing

I picked up Sparks of Hope, I feel it lacks the Nintendo worlds and leans heavily into Rabbids making it less appealing to those who loved the first.

But also I can't remember seeing any ADs for the game. So Marketing wasn't that great.

But all and all I don't buy that many Ubisoft games at launch. I mean I've been given every Assassin's Creed game through some promotion or another, besides the last one that I got for 20 bucks weeks after launch, played through and then traded in for 40.

Re: Talking Point: Given The Voice Artist Controversy, Will You Be Boycotting Bayonetta 3?

Jeremazing

Still plan on buying. I think Taylor has every right to stand up for herself and demand pay. But Sometimes you win some, and loose some. The question I would ask everyone is who here pays full price for a game if they know they can get on sale soon? Or shops at the discount stores, over paying higher prices for a premium?

Platinum (I imagine) didn't want to pay more... because they didn't have to. Who know's in their mind, they may still feel making a third game is risky.

The game series is successful sure, but it took work by Publishers to get there. Hell, There is a reason Sega didn't want to make a sequel. Nintendo stepped in, and now owns the property.

Site is having issues sense the begining, went up around 11:30, I struggled and struggled to get it in my cart and stay logged finally did. Got to check out, then their payment system was done. Disappeared from Cart, site then put me in a queuing line. Then the queueing line brings back to the page and now it says

The My Nintendo Store is currently undergoing maintenance. Please check back soon, and thank you for your understanding.
