Australian indie studio Subtle Boom has revealed that it'll be bringing its debut title Fledgling Heroes to Switch next month.
The game is a cutesy-looking side-scroller featuring a charming cast of feathery friends. Players must navigate their way through more than 90 levels, dodging pirate 'lizARRrds' as they explore frozen forests, sunken temples, and more.
The game also features a fully customisable online level editor which lets you build your own adventure before unleashing it upon your friends or other players around the world. Here's a feature list:
Features:
- 90+ hand-crafted levels
- 4 challenging game modes
- Level editor
- Couch co-op
- Customise your birds
- Collectathon challenge
- Kid-friendly
It's got a pretty cool, vibrant aesthetic going on. Take a closer look with these screenshots:
Fledging Heroes will take flight on Switch on 7th May with pricing set at $9.99 / £7.99 / €8.99. Pre-orders will go live next week on 23rd April, however, with a 15% early-bird discount taking it down to $8.49 / £6.79 / €7.59 for a limited time.
What do you think? Will you be flying to the eShop to pick this one up next week? Let us know in the usual spot.

Really like the art style
Love the art style and some wonderful animation in that intro. The game itself looks more like something I'd play on my phone though. Still hope to see more of this franchise and these characters in the future!
I dig it. Sign me up.
I've been playing the Mac version and it's simple and fun. It is basically a touch screen phone game though although that version is exclusive to Apple Arcade so it doesn't have IAP or anything like that.
Hmm....maybe. Maybe?
I am completely in love with those visuals, but god is the gameplay quite literally Flappy Bird 2.0. Somebody green light a better game for that animation studio!
@Ulysses Nah, it looks like you do set paths first?
Very nice artstyle.
