There are some really nice posts to the Digger Dan DX community, particularly some of the images people produced. I'm going to miss Miiverse. I have just about 4000 followers on there now.
@Damo Does the 3D effect get used in the actual game graphics or is it just used on the arcade machine surround and fake screen? Annoyingly the eShop screens and video are all 2D. I'll happily offer to make some 3D ones for the dev if he wants to send me a build...
@ToneDeath - A fiver? No no no no no. It will not cost a fiver! You'll be able to buy both versions for that. Sorry, no cross-buy, it isn't supported 3DS to Switch.
@XyVoX As already clarified we are two different people. We met on this site though, so if it wasn't for Nintendo Life, this game probably would not be coming to 3DS.
I suspect this has more to do with the fact that there are online tutorials on how to add more games to the system than any other reasons. Any future production runs will have more robust hardware and or firmware.
I suspect the policy is more clearly defined as: Developer A - 'Hi Nintendo, can we publish our 3DS game 'Game A' on Switch? We aren't working on anything new at this time.' Nintendo - 'Not at this time'
Developer B - 'Hi Nintendo, we'd like to publish our upcoming new game 'Game C' on Switch also a port of our existing game 'Game B', can we do so?' Nintendo - 'Totally! We love new stuff'
All the devs who have existing ports out or coming out, probably have new titles which may at this time be unannounced publicly.
This is based purely on speculation, not on any communications I've had with Nintendo.
@Rogue76 I woke up to find your comment in my inbox and it made me smile. I'm going to ask Jools if I can design a level for inclusion in the main game.
@Deadstanley Thanks for your support. In the end, what is important to me is that the game is available for people to play, and that they enjoy it. As for future projects - I'm really not sure what is next. I have a day job a family and a house that needs cleaning and redecorating from top to bottom! I don't have a lot of free time.
I tried to by Rhythm Paradise at retail (so we can all share the game, rather than download to 1 system) but not a single store I went in to carried stock. Had a similar issue with Mario Party 3DS. Retail seems to have given up on all but the biggest 3DS releases.
I think that talking about the NDA is breaking it, personally. Having said that, he's not leaked any info and I'm sure Nintendo's PR dept are loving all the speculation and rumours. People are doing all the work for them
I'm not even going to state whether I've signed an NX NDA or not. That's how serious this indie dev treats his NDAs. <cough>digger dan nx confirmed<cough>
@AcclaimDev Well, I should point out first that I have a day job (not Four Horses) which currently is taking up too much of my time.
I don't have any firm plans from here. I'm looking into a couple of partnership opportunities which may or may not work out. There is an idea in my head for a game I would like to make, but I think it is probably too big a project for a company the size of Four Horses (basically me).
@PewnyPL If it is on phones that the company owns and provides to the employees, they can tell them to delete it. I'd like to see them try to win an unfair dismissal case against an employee who refused to delete it from their own phone.
Here's a quick update: Technically, I could send off a resubmission to Nintendo of Europe now. Need some feedback before I can submit to America.
However, I do want to add these extra levels, so they are going to take some time to create. I will aim to get these done before my holiday in 2 weeks time.
@DoctorOverbuild The original game will remain unchanged. An update is required to restore the game to the eShop, so it made sense to chuck the extra levels (if I can design them!) in at the same time.
Existing owners will be able to update, new owners will automatically get the latest version.
I am happy to announce that I received an immediate response from First Star Software, Inc. having contacted them on Sunday, and we have already settled this issue to our mutual satisfaction. (In fact I'm thrilled with the terms.) I hope to get Digger Dan DX back on sale as soon as possible though, due to the re-submission processes with Nintendo, this may take a few months. Hopefully much less. (I don't know yet.)
@HandheldGuru97 Well, technically it should be possible to get it back a little faster than I have in mind, it's just that I'm considering adding a few more levels. $2/£1.80 is a bit steep for only 100 levels.
@BornInNorway81 It is tested again fully by Nintendo as if it is a new product. Plus there is a waiting list for the test department. I'll try to get it back as soon as possible, I promise.

Re: The Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition is Up for Pre-Order on the Official Nintendo UK Store
Just ordered, along with the 2 Amiibos.
Re: Beleaguered UK Retailer GAME Blames Lack Of Switch Stock For Profit Warning
Lets hope they survive to the end of September at least - for all the folks who ordered their SNES minis with them.
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@CanisWolfred Four. One to hold the ladder, one to remove the dead bulb, one to put the new bulb in and one to glue it in place.
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@CanisWolfred You are safe, it is Four Horses, not The Four Horses. They are completely unaffiliated with any harbingers of doom/the end of the world.

Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@Dang69 Can't really say as it depends on things out of our control, but we are hoping for this year!
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@Meowpheel No, ImDiggerDan! Two different people, but working together on these versions of his original game.
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@Meowpheel Yes, totally. In fine Pixelman tradition, I've taken so long with the conversion, there's a new Nintendo console to put the game on!
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
@brandonbwii It is an autorunner, but level based - not endless.
Re: Four Horses Is Bringing Kid Tripp To The Nintendo Switch eShop
Awesome news!
Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)
@Damo Of course! Totally forgot it originated from Hitchhikers.
Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)
Is that tagline an Elite reference?
Re: Kid Tripp To Bring High Octane Pixel-Style Running to 3DS eShop
@ecco6t9 Me too. Gotta say, it looks at home on the 3DS screen, like it always belonged there. The new (optional) controls work really well too.

Re: Kid Tripp To Bring High Octane Pixel-Style Running to 3DS eShop
@Moon Yes. I have plans. But no Switch dev status yet.
Re: Kid Tripp To Bring High Octane Pixel-Style Running to 3DS eShop
Day 1 buy for me!
... hold on a minute...
Re: Nintendo Wants To Hear From Indies Interested In Developing For Switch
Just sent my email to NOE. Now we wait...
Edit: Bah, autoreply! Stupid Bank Holidays. Now we wait a little longer....

@Anti-Matter Both.
Re: Nintendo is "Being Very Selective" on Which Indie Devs Will Be Allowed On Switch eShop
Well, I'd like to hope I'm allowed in soon...
Re: Feature: Snipperclips - Working With Nintendo To Create A Switch Co-Op Classic
I'll be buying this at around 00:30 on Friday, since I'll be waiting for Amazon to deliver my games during the day.
Re: Snake Pass is Slithering Onto Nintendo Switch in Late March
Day 1 purchase for me. I love the look of it.
Unless retailers still think that Switch games should be £60. In which case I'll hold off.
Re: First Impressions: Explosive Action in Super Bomberman R
Great, now I have to buy an additional set of JoyCons for 3 player action.
Re: Nintendo Switch Won't Have Miiverse Or StreetPass
Aww. I've got 1400 followers for Four Horses on Miiverse, about 40 on Twitter.
Re: Video: Ladies And Gentlemen, We Might Have Found The Worst Game On Wii U
60fps FTW! Struggling to be any more positive, and I've promised myself not to ever post negative stuff.
Re: Chicken Wiggle's Price Has Been Confirmed For The 3DS eShop
@AlexSora89 @onex Yeah, it has online sharing, that has been mentioned elsewhere. Levels can be shared between 3DS and iOS, too.

Re: Chicken Wiggle's Price Has Been Confirmed For The 3DS eShop
Day 1 purchase for me. Online level sharing with both 3DS and smartphone users is a huge plus.

@AcclaimDev Nothing has been cut. More levels have been added.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
Re: Jools Watsham Unveils Chicken Wiggle - A Platformer and Level Creation Tool Coming to 3DS
@KIREEK No, they do not have to.
Re: Jools Watsham Unveils Chicken Wiggle - A Platformer and Level Creation Tool Coming to 3DS
I hope the user levels created on iOS can be accessed on 3DS. That would be really sweet.
Re: Jools Watsham Unveils Chicken Wiggle - A Platformer and Level Creation Tool Coming to 3DS
Looks nice.

Re: Hardware Review: PocketCHIP
@SanderEvers Similar to 1st gen Pi.
Re: Hardware Review: PocketCHIP
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It isn't too bad programming on it. Nice for beginners. You can plug in a normal USB keyboard which helps massively.
