Looks prettu fun really. And David Wise is amazing at what he does.
On another note.... I can't help but see Kaa...
Don't think I'll buy this, but I like the art style quite a bit.
Seems like the perfect ingredients for a masterpiece...
But I'm just not feeling this one. Maybe it'll be funner than it looks
Hm...
Multi released.
I will take a look for Switch version.
Now here comes the complains :
The wii u
Nintendo haters : The Wii u have no games
Nintendo Fans : Yes we do, we have freedom planet, hive jump, tumblestone, fast racing neo
Nintendo haters : These games are indie games. No big AAA games like COD, GTA V, Battlefield 1
The Switch
Nintendo haters : The Switch have no games
Nintendo Fans : Yes we do, we have Snake pass, Sonic Mania, Bomberman R, Rime and etc
Nintendo haters : These games are indie games. No big AAA games like COD, GTA V, Battlefield 1
So what I did here
Sooo. Switch eShop updates on Wednesday in the EU?
Not to disparage this title. But were are the A and AAA titles?
Looks pretty cool... but the snake's colors seem off compared to its environment... maybe that is an option that can be changed in-game?
@holygeez03 Same reason Mega Man is Blue, to make the player character easy to see so you don't lose it, and thus cause frustration for the player.
@Whopper744 You must trussssst in them, man cub!
I think this looks cool. Any idea on price?
Looks pretty fun though my only concern would be the game being too short. The article mentions there being only 15 levels but maybe they're replayed to collect all the special coins or whatever.
Lovely. Makes the launch window a bit more exciting, as this title looks pretty good.
Looks like nice but has anything more mature been announced yet? Something like This War of Mine or Sheltered?
Looking forward to getting it day one.
This game has my attention. Id really like to see a review first though
Another game to adder to the list.
I've loved some of Sumo Digitals past games so I'm optimistic this will turn out well. I didn't think it would coming so soon though.
@JaxonH yep, seems like once again Sumo Digital helps Nintendo out on its launch (Sonic Racing Transformed Wii U) ... that game is great.. it held me over til Mario Kart 8 released
@Danrenfroe2016
I think the big games will br revealed close to launch. Nintendo already said more will be shown soon. And for the 85 games in development, i think the coming weeks we will see alot more. Nintendo has to to build more Hype, they need to go all out.
So gonna get this. I really like the aesthetics and it seems like a fun game. Perfect for shorter little distractions in between playsessions for the bigger games.
Very much looking forward to this. Sumo have done a great job on most games they've worked on.
This looks really quite good. I just hope it's not overly slow paced.
Day one purchase for me
Just 15 levels? Either way, I'm still getting this.
Sumo sure has improved since their days of SEGA Superstars Tennis. (Well, except for LBP3, but I won't get into that.)
@Retron I thought I was the only person who noticed that.
Looks pretty cool!
@KidRad Agreed. I congratulate then on finding such a novel, fresh approach to the genre, but I do wonder how samey the game will feel once you're into the second half of it.
I want it. Would be cool if there were different snake skins (no pun intended) to unlock.
Hmm? Playable demo maybe?
Ah! Looking forward to this! :3
It looks so satisfying how the snek slithers on and wiggles all around!
I was already looking forward to this, especially now I know David Wise is doing the soundtrack.
15 levels has me a bit worried though, I was hoping for something a bit more substantial than that.
This actually looks awesome.
@Octane Maybe it won't be too expensive then?
Looks good to me. I'm in, so long as it's not too expensive.
Is there a price yet?
@Moshugan I don't know. I expect it to be €20/$20.
This is one of those multi-platform games that seems right at home on Nintendo. Launch month isnt looking too bad now between this, Zelda, Issac, I Am Setsuna, Snipperclips, Shovel Knight and Has Been Heroes
So this team can release on Switch day and date but Playtonic can't? Interesting.
Wait that actually looks pretty neat.
I'm guessing it's only on the eShop, no cart? Will get it if it's £10-15.
Looks slow..... i can't be that patient
Looks like fun. It gives off a bit of a Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker vibe. Wonder how it controls. With 15 levels, it had better not be too expensive though.
I'm definetely going to pick this up.
It looks interesting.
Day 1 purchase for me. I love the look of it.
Unless retailers still think that Switch games should be £60. In which case I'll hold off.
15 level... that's kinda small, isn't it?
Kudos to them for having the Switch version launch the same day as other platforms. Looks interessssssting!
Doesnt appeal to me. I have a feeling this will be overpriced on switch for what is essentially a tablet puzzle game.
@Alpha008 It is. I know I'm just speculating, but maybe they're 15 bigger worlds (similar to those in a Mario game) with multiple objectives in each level? Probably not, but who knows?
@bolt05 It's coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC as well. Same price, so it won't be more on the Switch.
Also, since when is every 'indie' game a tablet game? Apart from the amount of content, this looks fantastic, and right at home on any home console. I get the comparison to Bomberman's price (which is way too high in my opinion), but I rather spend €20 on this than €50 on Bomberman R.
I really like the look of it, will definitely pick it up close to launch.
I'd give $15 for it.
@bolt05 How do you figure? I think it can be likened moreso to the great N64 collect-a-thons than just a piddly "tablet puzzler". Platformers are coming back! With a vengeance!
Like a lot! Looks like a modern Rare's snake rattle and roll from the NES
I like to support new ideas so this slither-em-up looks good to me. I may hang back to read some reviews but commenters here have good things to say about the Dev team which bodes well.
This looks so good!
If it reviews well and doesn't cost too much, I might pick this up when it releases. Not terribly excited for it, though.
Could we be seeing what is the beginning of a resurgence with these kinds of platform games? It'll be interesting to see if that's true given how there seems to be fatigue building with game buyers when it comes to a lot of games in genres that once dominated sales.
@jaymacx
SumoDigital is a great studio, no doubt.
Man I wish they'd do another Sonic Racing, at least we get Mario Kart the month after launch this time.
Yeah, another quality 3D platformer/puzzler collect-a-thon for SWITCH. I love these games. Picking up for sure! For me, this is right up there with Yooka-Laylee and Super Mario Odyssey!
Just from the trailer I can see that the (15!!!!) worlds are packed to the brim with secrets, puzzles, items, and interesting challenges. I don't see what's wrong with having 15 worlds. Super Mario 64 had 15 worlds as well. Banjo-Kazooie only had 9 if I remember correctly.
This game looks fantastic. 15 levels should be ok if going by what has been shown. Each area appears to have plenty to collect and explore. The crazy snake controls seem to be the main attraction.
I am looking forward to this game. It looks great!
Game play movements look a bit slow, but I'm intrigued. Especially since David Wise is doing the soundtrack!
Aren't these the same guys a couple of weeks ago that said they ported the game from PC to switch in a week? (Obviously not fully but the base code etc.) They started work on it beginning of January this year and it will be ready mid March? Supports the easy to port to switch argument! On topic, I'll pick it up if the price is right.
Still can't tell if this is going to be any good or not but it's Sumo, they're hugely talented developers, so fingers crossed.
Looks like a really fun game + that music reminds me of DK:TF, which give the game that extra bit of good vibes!
Looks good to me. I think the control scheme will be bizarrely addictive. I already want more, and I haven't even played it yet!
Hitting five platforms at once, with a game that looks super cute to boot. That's quite an achievement.
