The Switch is the FULLY REALIZED vision of what the Wii U should have been. Games are succeeding on the Switch because it is an inherently more understandable, attractive system due to hybrid nature of being portable + TV. It makes sense to people, so they want to buy it b/c it fits into their lives. The Wii U was a failure because it had those ideas of portable screen, but it wasn't portable. Great work on Nintendo taking those ideas and failures and making them into success with Switch.

I am always in awwww at pinball pros that can trigger all the side missions... I am not that skilled... but I love the challenge they represent! Every time I start a mission... I get so excited that I lose my ball! LOL.

2 words... SPRING BREAK!! I am going to finally finish Zelda BOTW the 4th Divine Beast Gerudo... I just beat Mega-Dragon-Bowser in Mario Rabbids last night and am doing world 4 challenges in preparation for DK DLC!

My Wife and I have REALLY been enjoying the coop madness with Kirby on Switch! Well done game! Great gameplay and graphics. It is "kinda cute" as well (sarcasm).

The 1.2 balance patch helped out the grindiness a LOT and the game is much more enjoyable now. With the new balance of health drops - it really is a great game.

Nintendo is doing AMAZING with publicity in the Switch Era! They have the pacing of games/Nindies/announcements down perfectly! Much improved over the disaster that was Wii U!

While I do miss the awesome physical rewards, I do understand that they were not sustainable from a business point of view.

Getting ANY kind of monetary discount is an incentive as opposed to downloading wallpapers (yippee... not really), so I am happy gold coins have SOME kind of meaning that is monetary is a DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT over previous method of using gold coins to download games that I already owned.

Would I like a higher amount... of course.. but I am also being realistic that the physical rewards are done by stores (20% pre-order discount on Amazon) - so the digital rewards should be Nintendo.

The problem with physical games is that the price can vary outside of Nintendo's control... if a game goes on sale (Mario rabbids over xmas was $25 on black Friday - they won't get same ratio of discount as if it was digital since that reflects the price you actually pay) - the physical is based off of the price of game when it launched... with amazon prime pre-order - I can get physical games at 20% discount .... so I take the savings in money and storage (save space on SD cards!) over the digital rewards.

This is an awesome reward program! I love how the gold coins now actually have meaning! It makes sense from a business point of view to priortize digital purchases. I had been holding off buying a lot of Nindie games until this became effective - it was a download fest last night!

I am really enjoying this game now that the balance is fairer. The health drops and reduced bats are much much better.

P.S. Scan in Yoshi, Animal Crossing, DK, and pikmin amiibo for a laugh!

Bayonetta 2 - I love that the amiibo support allows me to purchase the chain chomp and costumes that I couldn't afford or unlock (finish 3rd climax... not a chance... sorry) on Wii U. Playing with peach costume + guns on hands (bowser punch) + chain chomp (nicknamed "chompy").

So glad they rebalanced the death mechanic. It was the only blemish on this otherwise awesome game. I was abusing the multiple game save slots so I could avoid grinding back my dead body for health.

The collector's edition is crazy with all the goodies they packed in. Shirts, towels, headbands, pins, artbooks and soundtrack for $120!! I couldn't resist... so much swag!

The touch screen controls are a great addition for players with physical obstacles to playing "normal" games requiring full access to controller.

Probably a mental block to blot out the trauma of the game deleting your entire save file... that was such a dirty trick!

I really loved the storytelling of the first game and am looking forward to continuing ARID's journey in part 2! I love the moral dilemna's.

Mario and Rabbids is one of the BEST strategy games that I have ever played. I love all the movement options available in a single move with dashes, team jumps, specials and unique characters.

I hope the Donkey Kong DLC replaces Mario with DK so that you have to rescue Mario (a nice twist) and get someone besides Mario in first character slot for story missions.

I am really looking forward to this game! I played but never finished part 1 - the themes and moral dilemna's were fascinating. I am glad that they have expanded the storytelling (which was already really good from part 1) and fixed weaknesses of puzzles/combat.

I love the music and story and how you are chased by your self-doubts! It is perfect pick up and play for switch since it saves every room.

The dancer prologue in Octopath Traveller gave me the creeps with the owner propositioning / threatening the dancers - it was written very well.

I had a great moment on Friday night where I actually had to take time to plan out which of the AMAZING games on Switch I was going to play. What a great system for it's hybrid portability giving me time to play again inbetween teacher grading/planning and it's amazing selection of Nintendo + Nindie games.

Priorities:
Finish Ch 3 challenge levels on Mario Rabbids in preparation for DK DLC
Celeste
Shovel Knight campaign (plague knight is next)

Awesssssssssome! I love this game! I am so proud that I finished the game - it got pretty intense with levels at the end... I loved figuring out how to maneuver Noodle with the grip mechanic!

NIS is a great anime-game company that puts out awesome limited editions of their games and respects anime roots of their games. Way to go!

While disappointing... I can appreciate that the Switch is the purest GAMING platform there is and being a hybrid device has actually allowed me to have time to squeeze in gaming into my busy life. This keeps the focus razor sharp on finishing Zelda BOTW before my May deadline this year (when I start Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Bday).

The Switch is the evolution of the Wii U. The Wii U felt like it "should" have been able to move away from the TV... but it could only go a set distance because it was tethered. Just put the Wii U gamepad and Switch next to each other and see the evolution (and marvel at slimness of Switch). The best concept of Switch is definitely being able to take your games on the go and sharing it socially. I remember being so frustrated by the games that I was playing on 3DS being separate from Wii U games. Nintendo has a perfect niche with a hybrid system that is unique (niches allow life to flourish in biology).
