Snake Pass, with its cute '90s platformer looks and devilishly tricky physics, was one of the most surprising and rewarding games of 2017 on Nintendo Switch, but now it looks like the little critter might have more slithering to do in 2018.
A recent tweet from the official Snake Pass account broke out the ol' parseltongue with a cryptic message that reads: "We sssaid sssome things were happening in early 2018 - guess it's time to wake up from our hibernation." Could we be seeing more levels for this eShop gem? It already has 15 levels across four worlds, but we certainly wouldn't turn down a reptilian return. Or, does this suggest we might see Snake Pass 2 this year? Does seem a tad early on that front, though...

Didn't really like the game but I thought it was well made. Nice to see that the game was successful.
Retail release would be welcome, I've heard some great things about this
I did not like it at all,if it is some free update maybe I will dig it up but I won't pay a dime for it
They should get to work on making another Sega Allstars racing
I seem to remember seeing a strawberry in a trailer from months ago. Extra collectibles anyone?
Still waiting for that icon changing update ...lol
I still like it. Haven’t played it since I archived it. Time to finally break down and buy an SD card for a redownload.
I liked the game a lot, so some extra levels would totally be appreciated.
Here's hoping it comes with a better icon...
They promised to fix the awful icon with the next update. I'm waiting.
The game had a fantastic new concept but was awfully repetitive. I personnally didn't finish it and am not looking for another one from them.
But I wish them all the best. We need more new types of games.
I still have it downloaded, but will only start it up again after the icon has been reverted or otherwise fixed.
Still have to tackle the time trials that previous update brought, if it wasn't for that hideous icon that came with it!
It was one of the first games I bought for my Switch thanks to discounted price but I didn't play it until couple of months later. I'm about halfway through the game. Need to finish it at some point.
I didn't like it at first. Mainly because they started with too hard of a level. "What do you mean? How can you die in the first level?", I hear you ask. Try to collect everything on your first try. I died so many times trying to grab that one coin under the bridge. It's funny how the next couple of levels had much easier collectibles.
It can be fun once you get hang of the controls.
Awesssssssssome! I love this game! I am so proud that I finished the game - it got pretty intense with levels at the end... I loved figuring out how to maneuver Noodle with the grip mechanic!
I got this when it came out as there wasn't much else to play, at least in 3D. I got used to the controls, and thought it was novel. However I got to the last level and just couldn't be bothered with it, and I haven't touched it since. Would likely not buy any DLC or sequel, but would probably give some free DLC a go.
I'll be up for some more levels. Completed the game and would love to get stuck into it again
If there's a new world, that just a means more fantastic music from David Wise, and I'm actually more excited for that than anything else, haha. That said, I still really enjoyed the game and actually 100%ed it, so I'm definitely excited for some more content.
i enjoyed it for a while then lost interest unfortunately but i still think it was worth buying for the enjoyment i did get out of it
@Late I remember that too, that one coin on the first level was really hard to get and then the next few levels were comparatively easy! I guess they assumed most players would just blast through the level and come back for the collectibles after finishing the game. They obviously didn't reckon on someone stubborn like me that refuses to finish a level until everything has been collected.
In fact I was bit miffed when I finished the game and it unlocked something to make finding all the collectibles easier, I could have saved myself a lot of time had I known about it!
I 100%ed it but there are still some time trials left i have to do to get all those sweet hourglass icons. But I deleted the game temporarely for LA noire, since it was the biggest downloadable title at the moment and I did not want to buy an SD card yet.
I didn't really like it tbh
I like it a lot but the controls are just horrible.
Loved the game even if it was frustrating sometimes. New levels or sequel, count me in!
Very unique game. I just didn’t like it enough to keep playing.
Been on my wishlist since day 1 but still haven't gotten it.
@Late that is exactly where I played the game to and have never been back since!! Couldn’t get that one coin and it made me so mad I can’t bring myself to play it anymore lol
Really liked the gameplay - repetitive??. But I expected some optimisations AGES ago. In handheld mode the game is a blurry mess. And docked it could be improved visually too. Not the art style - that's perfect. But the game's graphic are not 'crisp' and look out of focus - like they are trying to hide the resolution - but it looks worse than low res for it.
They really need to optimise that and I believe it's only laziness stopping them sharpening it up when they've had a year to do so. Also were is our promised 'old' icon!
Was waiting for a performance patch on switch and the game was left high and dry.
So sorry sumo. I’m moving on.
Sequel incoming.
Very mixed reviews from the users I've interacted with. Enough to keep me away from the game, but not its comments section. 😁
The game is pretty slick. This has me excited.
Something odd about this game. Beautifully made, wanted to come back but it is so uninviting for some reason.
I really liked this game once I got used to the controls (takes a bit of effort). Will welcome any update.
The game is still sitting in app drawer purgatory so I don't have to look at that hideous phone game icon.
OUTRUN 2 Sumo Cmon Guys!!!
I bought this game on sale because of how much everyone said they liked it. But I have yet to play it once. lol
I am sure it is quite fun, but limited free time and other games that I give higher priority to get that time.
I bought this instead of lame 1 2 Switch. ...
I’d love to see more from these guys... bring it on!
Here's hoping they update it to adjust the iteration cycles. The game is fun, but bottomless pits that send you back any more than a minute of gameplay, especially in a game like this where just getting to a shard is already a big deal have made me put the game down one too many times.
