I am going to take the $60 you would have gotten for the game, and spend it on the Sonic Boom instead. Congratulations, you just lost a sale because I will NEVER buy this game from you on ANY system. Have fun with your (pre-delay) $68 million dollar budget for the game and somehow getting it to sell GTA levels of games to make your money back.
This is a brilliant move by Nintendo. It diversifies their portfolio, and taps into a hugely profitable industry of health care. The number of retirees is going to skyrocket once the baby-boom generation retires in next 10 years, this is going to be a major population shift. Much larger than gamers alone.
Any monitoring that can be done in home is a trip saved to the hospital. Taking care of my elders has taught me a lot about the health industry. Huge untapped market.
NFC and more character IP licensing means we will see Nintendo figurines function in a skylanders, Infinity type game at E3. The figurines are consistently on top sellers at amazon. Good move by Nintendo.
The gamepad is the best feature of the Wii U! I live in a one bedroom apartment with my wife, and we share one TV. I would be playing a LOT less games if it wasn't for off screen gameplay.
The DLC is quite the challenge and all the environments have a unique twist to them that add in a new dimension to each stage. It is definitely worth it.
I love that Wii U uses the wii remotes from last generation. It is such a great savings compared to PS4/Xboxone (having to spend 180 on 3 new controllers - how greedy!)
Nintendo can always print more if it sells well. It is available on eshop as well, so people can still buy it.
It reminds me of the fire emblem launch for 3ds. Fire emblem was hard to find in physical copies at first, and then once the reviews starting coming in positive, more copies were printed and you can usually find 1-2 on store shelves now.
Obviously a mario/pokemon/zelda game will have more copies printed - and I usually see 8-10 copies on store shelves.
Nintendo knows what it is doing. The game deserves to get epic sales because it is original and new (thank you gaming gods!!!), but it won't rack up COD sales.
I am looking forward to developing a backlog of games to play after this holiday season on WiiU with all the quality releases (Pikmin, W101, DK, Rayman, Sonic, Zelda WW, Mario)
I really enjoyed the W101 Nintendo direct. It was really interesting to hear more about the game from the developers. Having the Nintendo name behind the show will prompt more people to pay attention than if they posted it on their blog.
The other benefit of Nintendo directs is that they are relatively cheap. They focus on interview with game footage that is posted on youtube. Much cheaper than TV or movie commercials.
The game is truly wonderful. I had a smile on my face the whole time. I love the little animations for all the heroes, and the whole super-power theme. I was pleasantly surprised that this is NOT an interactive movie but a game that is under your control. Awesome. They even use the pikmin whistle at end of mission mode! The controls are great when you get the hang of them. I like using the gun as my primary morph (with A) and then use sword strikes with y to keep enemies away. My favorite power is the reflective jelly.
This will be my new favorite miiverse community! I love checking out artwork people post. It is incredible and they are only using black and white with an eraser tool!
I downloaded it early on Saturday morning due to the Gamestop demo event. I really am enjoying the game. I posted some screenshots of the game on Miiverse on Saturday morning, and had more yeahs than any other post I've made yet.
The DLC bunny actually does a good job of explaining the games so I felt like I knew what I was purchasing. Nice update. The shooting game is a lot of fun.
I just pre-ordered the game on Amazon for the limited edition bundle. Great job Nintendo with the Fire Emblem 30 dollar credit. Awesome way to support 3rd parties and build up hype for FE x SMT coming to Wii U later.
Bayonetta 2 uses two completely different input methods for two different audiences. Method 1 aimed at casuals- Touch controls for Easy and Very Easy. Method 2 aimed at hardcore - analogue sticks and buttons. Best of both worlds on the WiiU. See link below. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-07-03-bayonetta-2-preview-shes-got-the-touch

Re: Nintendo Confirms "Super Indie Connection Sale" on North American Wii U eShop
I am so excited for this sale! I already own runner 2, tori tori 2, and might switch force.
I have been very interested to try spin the bottle and giana sisters, but the high price made me skittish. Now this is a great bargain!

Re: Nintendo Direct: Check Out the Wii Fit U Direct Here
What great options and at budget prices. Smart move Nintendo! Good job getting software out for the holidays.

Re: Review: DuckTales: Remastered (Wii U eShop)
My wife and I are looking forward to Ducktales immensely. We have been quoting the theme song to each other randomly during the week.

Re: Talking Point: The Wonderful 101 Direct and Demo Set the Standard for Wii U Marketing
The demo for W101 was amazing and moved it up to MUST-BUY status after playing it. I loved all the details (like pikmin whistle) and super-hero motif.

Re: Nintendo Wanted To Take A Different Approach To DLC With New Super Luigi U
Reading the Iwata asks (page 4) reveals that they made the ticks of the clock slightly longer than the original game. Clever.
Re: Video: Animal Crossing Fails To Provide A Decisive Verdict On Which Is Best: Scorpion Or Tarantula
I loved the Wii game Deadly Creatures where you could play as a tarantula and scorpion!

Re: Review: Star Wars Pinball (Wii U eShop)
Thankfully there is a 2 player option for those of us who have player 2's in our lives.

Re: Ubisoft CEO Admits ZombiU Sales Were Disappointing, No Plans For Sequel
ZombiU was an amazing experience. It really sold me on the Wii U concept more than any other game. Sad-face.
Re: Your View: The Issues of Collecting and Owning Download-Only Games
Nintendo downloads will still work without the internet. So if they "pull the plug" on online services, you can still play your games on your system.
On other hand, downloaded xbox 360 arcade games will NOT work if you do not have an internet connection. They only function in demo mode.
