@Arawn93 Agreed. I think they need to have a meeting on what type these reviewers like in a game. If these people don't like heavy amounts of story/cutscenes then it's not meant for them. This is like asking your friend what he thinks about a Pop song when he's clearly into Metal.
First Romancing Saga and now Yakuza getting a 6 is not necessary. I admit that Yakuza Kiwami might not be their best Yakuza game and it DOES suffer from filler in the main story but no way it warrants a 6. A 7? fine but this feels wrong. And complaining about pacing issues on a Yakuza game? What is this?
I am sorry but some of these recent reviews is losing me here. I can see why some people are upset in the comments
That being said I've seen an hour long gameplay and is very surprised how good this is. Game has that Nintendo "feel". Besides that hope they'll fix the performance issues in future patches
Games like this makes me wished the Switch 2 would just be released faster so they could put a patch to make it 60fps. On the bright side I can wait for the Switch 2 to be released and then I can pick this up when it's on a possible sale. Some of the first party Nintendo games is fun even with 30fps so putting this at a 6/10 with performance must be really painful
I genuinely hope more people who is new to this play it. Been seeing people wanting to buy the game because of the boxart and just not... play the game at all. This game deserve attention and it's one of the good text based story with puzzles. If you like Zero escape with puzzles, this is for you.
I really hope people don't just assume this is a "shadow" of anything through a single review and look at more opinions themselves. Take off those nostalgia glasses because JSR had terrible controls. As what someone said above, do not let this review turn you off. It's really fun and has a interesting characters and music. Unlocking stuff feels good too because it's stuff that you WANT to get
I almost got this game on sale but I didn't and boy I did not regret it. I enjoyed my time with it and this could probably be my favorite indie game this year so far
Phone companies need to learn they must have EXCLUSIVE GAMES and not the hardware power itself. The sad thing is, that they know no third party will do exclusive games for them it’s just mobile games. The worst part is that there are tons of crappy, lazy and ugly Android games made by users and with load tons of ads! Let’s face the facts, if someone were to buy this they would not use this for mobile games and go for emulation instead.
@Kalmaro that won’t make me change my mind since the core gameplay is still musou. I wouldn’t mind seeing a streamer playing it but no way I’d sink a lot of hours into it.
This is the reason why I do not have the urge to play Hyrule Warriors and that FE Warriors game. I don’t care how good it is, the same formula makes me not want to touch it. It could be said the same with any Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed or Far Cry formulaic games but at least that has something different even though I’ve also have no urge to play their latest games either
Yeah... no, sorry I don’t see any competition. If there was a Switch upgrade with everything more powerful, a better dpad, 1080p screen and so on that cost the same price of 1k people would still buy it. Why? Exclusive games and no gambling gachas. The Switch might have less features than a phone with Bluetooth headphones and even integrated voice chat but it overshadows mobile phone games by exclusive and nindies. Also the phone should still have a right button controller for that price. it’s just ridiculous and I don’t care how powerful it is, if you wanna compare a Switch to a phone try and see the basics in what the Switch has instead of more power.
Rubbish. I’d rather they just said “I won’t comment on it” than giving us this poo. Maybe they wanted to put NES games instead of newer games because they wanted to do something different than PS and Microsoft. Then again paying for online services isn’t different. LOL. Yes I know, this is just an quick made up excuse. It’s still funny though
Not trying to be a negative nancy or anything, but Clem’s journey should’ve ended ages ago before they milked it with TWD:Michonne, TWD DLC and other stuffs that don’t seem necessary. At this point, I’m fine with not seeing Clem’s journey to the end since most of us knows what her fate is gonna turn out anyway. I do however feel bad for people who paid for the Season pass/episodes waiting for the full release and then suddenly this happens
I hope other game companies will make more decision based games in the future and polish stuff that Telltale has with othe technical errors and other stuffs.
Japanese gamers probably saw the new GoW trailer, analyze the old games and saw a roided rage man killing gods and having sudden intercourse with them. Even Witcher 3 wasn't high up in the list long. The only reason why it gottem into Witcher 3 because most of them see as almost a Monster Hunter game in a way fused with JRPG combat.
But why do westerners care about Japanese charts and their interests anyways? They will almost always have a different opinions. Just enjoy GoW or wait for the upcoming Labo.
The writers were probably scared to write a new main character since kids watched the show mainly for Ash and his Pikachu. Unlike other shows, they had the same character with seasons not maintaining the same quality where other Anime have different main character for it's quality. The worst thing they did was replacing supporting characters. The same could be said with Ash age stuck at 10 or be more mature. Instead, they make revisions. Also I know that Ash can't win a league since people will brand him famous and stuff, but can't he at least win a one or two OFFICIAL ones? It's not gonna be a big deal if he explores to another country/island far away so why are they writing like that? I've never understood that
By the way, I've tried watching some newer seasons and Im not the person to be stuck with old nostalgia nor a Genwunner, but the quality just isn't the same with the first few seasons with Brock and Misty. The fights for the newer seasons were cool, but I love the interaction with the old crew instead. And the Mewtwo, Lugia and the Unknown movies were the best of the best imo.
Etsy has better looking custom Joycon and it cost $50 less.
I still wouldn't spend as much since I don't really care about the design or color on it (Still rocking the default black) either on the go or at home, but y'know.
I guess if you want a good comparison, look at certain YouTube channels. Some of them has whitelisted that they've gotten Nintendo products while others gotten blacklisted because of constant swearing/attitude problems. (AngryJoe anyone?) FYI it's another third company that is working with Nintendo that sees which channels can give the approval to.
I understand people getting excited for a game that may introduced them to Dark Souls, but is this video/topic really necessary? It's coming out one and a half months + a bonus network test on the Switch. Be patient people
A game that has an inspired gameplay like the 2D Zelda and beautiful portrait artwork like Stardew Valley? Sold. Day one (After some reviews that is) we need more of this kinds of games, seriously.
There is so many other problems with the world today and this is what they want to dive into? Violence in video games that have been long existed in the 90s mixed in with gory movies till now? Y'know if the Florida shooting didn't happened on Valentine's Day and a few days later, they'll just go with their first guess and blame it on video games without any hesitation. Guns? Nah, Video Games!
I shot myself in the foot by playing the PC version first and watched like a million other YouTubers playing it. I should've waited when it came out on the Switch/Vita. Ah well, if there is a sequel/prequel in the future, I won't make the same mistake and just wait for a Switch release.
If it supports the audio from the controller like with the PS4, I'll gladly cash in but if it's just an adapter with nothing new to add, no thanks. I'll stick to the Pro controller for the Switch and the PS4 Controller for my PS4 till that change actually comes
$5... maybe for AngryJoe. In all seriousness though, they should've given games digitally to the ones that is affected that doesn't use PayPal. I'm just sitting here being dumbfounded that they wanted to earn back people's trust in the store site by giving a crappy compensation. Even if it's something rather than nothing, the amount of work for the consumer is already stressful as is and that $5 is more like an insult than anything.
If the said game was people complaining or them giving negative reviews to a game that they've BOUGHT with their own money, I don't see why Nintendo removed this feature cause' of that. Even if that person is complaining why the game he/she bought isn't similar to the other game, it's still a valid complain since it's on topic. Unless it's off topic that isn't the game they're reviewing or swearing which still isn't acceptable since they could hire moderators. I could only see them removing it due to people not playing the game and just reviewing it. Another thing they could've done is them instilling rules for people to rate.
I don't mind ports as long the price for it seems reasonable. Now that I think about it, some ports seems way too overprice than it needs to be. People may say "well the portability matters." Yes and no. You have to factor in if people WANTS to buy portability in a said game versus people loving the portability aspect to not care as much about the price. It's all about preference. Same could be said with graphics limitations on the Switch versus the PC/PS4/Xbox. For me I will always get the cheaper option for the loss of portability unless there is a sale on the eShop for that game. I don't mind graphics and will always look at the Switch first as long the frame rate isn't too terrible. I wouldn't mind paying for the same price with older ports if they actually have an extra worthwhile story content in a game compared to small additions like a few characters though.
Also Bayonetta 2 looks awesome and I've only played 1 but I think the price shouldn't be that much since it came out on the WiiU before. I'll patiently wait for some sort of sale to happen before I'll buy it.
I don't know why so many people are upset with Funko and telling them creating a said character will ruin the franchise and it'll look ugly which is funny. I mean, it's not like you're forced to buy these figures. You got an option. I don't own Funko Pops and never will (Happy that I've got a bunch of Nenodroids and some figures) but I don't object them on making it. They've already made a TON of other characters already and it's pretty cheap if people actually do want to buy it.
It's really is a shame. Sumo Digital actually made a good game with a unique casts unlike other pasts Karting games. It's basically alot of the characters from the Sega franchises. I don't play many Sega games and not really a huge Sega fan but it would be nice to see human like characters racing against deformed animals like the past game. I don't think I'll buy it
I just joined this site for like 2months + and man, the amount of badly written articles here can be astonishing. How many articles can they make until they realise that they shouldn't say UNTIL they get SOME type of information? This is also the same for the Dark Souls game with no actual gameplay trailer. My guess in them not doing anymore pointless articles is never cause' they love their click baits and views.
People should REALLY not compare Xbox and PS plus subscription to this. It's not even marginally different, it's way different. For one there is special offers of 12 months + 4 months and extra free games if you were to get this kinds of deals. Another is the obvious games like Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex, and many other
There isn't many online games for the Switch right now that I have the need for online and the games are cool but not something to get hyped about IMO. If anything, the price is the biggest pros to this but again, I don't see many games right now that I'm justified in buying it at the moment.
I'm not going to say getting a tattoo is good nor bad but I remember a YouTube Vlogger asking a tattoo artist to paint whatever he wants and he chose a stock image of a tattoo which is funny
Yeah I agree that the higher graphical art style is the selling point in buying it on the PS4 than on the Switch. If it maintains that and doesn't downscale the graphics, I wouldn't mind buying it on the Switch
I mean... I would let my children play Mario Kart on the Switch rather than this. I guess kids would find the Hello Kitty mascots more to their taste than the Mario character but if I give this game AND Mario Kart, they would've taken Mario Kart simply of the gameplay and how pretty it is. Eh idk, maybe some kids prefer characters they like more than gameplay
To be fair this game doesn't look bad compared to that Superman 64 knockoff but I guess we'll see.
"it's not quite as if Sony has shamelessly taken a leaf out of Nintendo's book as while these are indeed officially-licensed products, they're being made by a third-party manufacturer and not by Sony itself."
So if this was first party, its "SHAME ON YOU SONY FOR COPYING NINTENDO!!" but thank god its third party it's okay? What? Even if this was first party, it's not copying Nintendo of anything. I don't know why everything nowadays that has a slight semblance is copying Nintendo. It's not.
These figures sure looks nice and for $10, it's quite tempting to buy a few. I will like to see Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza, Nier, Persona, Maria from Bloodborne, Nioh and many more instead of the default characters you see from PlayStation AllStars. Remember that game? Me neither except for the character list being boring.
Not trying to be rude, but I don't think there should be a video topic like this at all. Any games that wasn't on the Nintendo platform originally and is going to be on the Switch or in the future consoles is a good idea. Even that badly optimized WWE game that some people expected it to be good.
As for how DS will run on the Switch, can people be patient and wait before judging? It's coming out not too long and I'm sure there will be gameplay videos shown. For now, it's too early to have an in depth look at a teaser.
I'm sure there will be a strong online base even without cross platform play. (Praying to god the port doesn't have any issues) Just look at Demon Souls. Either way I'm not buying for PVP at most the online aspect benefits me for the messages, and bloodstain players left behind.
I know this wasn't announced for the US or anything yet but if this replaces an actual full Nintendo Direct, it'll be kinda disappointing. Well it is interesting at least and I will be tuning in just in the hopes for a new game or two

I will like to see Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza, Nier, Persona, Maria from Bloodborne, Nioh and many more instead of the default characters you see from PlayStation AllStars. Remember that game? Me neither except for the character list being boring.
Re: Soapbox: Alex And Dom Discuss If Dark Souls Will Really Work On Switch
Not trying to be rude, but I don't think there should be a video topic like this at all. Any games that wasn't on the Nintendo platform originally and is going to be on the Switch or in the future consoles is a good idea. Even that badly optimized WWE game that some people expected it to be good.
As for how DS will run on the Switch, can people be patient and wait before judging? It's coming out not too long and I'm sure there will be gameplay videos shown. For now, it's too early to have an in depth look at a teaser.
Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo
I don't mind this as long it isn't heavily focused or a big part like with Sony's PSVR.
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
@daveh30 Welp. Hoping it still doesn't replaces a Nintendo Direct
Re: Dark Souls: Remastered Won’t Feature Cross-Platform Play
I'm sure there will be a strong online base even without cross platform play. (Praying to god the port doesn't have any issues) Just look at Demon Souls. Either way I'm not buying for PVP at most the online aspect benefits me for the messages, and bloodstain players left behind.
Re: Nintendo Is Announcing "A New Way To Play" Later Today
I know this wasn't announced for the US or anything yet but if this replaces an actual full Nintendo Direct, it'll be kinda disappointing. Well it is interesting at least and I will be tuning in just in the hopes for a new game or two
