Re: Fortnite Devs Hit With Unfair Labour Practice Filing Following AI Darth Vader Fiasco

Good. At least someone is standing up to this AI "art" BS. Sag-Aftra shouldn't give an inch. Next thing you know, more people are out of work. And before someone gives the "boohoo rich actors" reply, please get educated. The "rich and famous" people we see are a small percentage of the people that make these films and shows and products happen. Most are working actors and live paycheck to paycheck.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 20.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

This virtual game card thing is a complete hassle. I have multiple Switches, one docked and one for portable play. If I wanted to play a game on multiple Switches (one at a time, I'm not an octopus), all I had to do was turn it on, load the game, and play.

I tried to get into ACNH this morning, and it's telling me I need to "move the game card" to this system first. But, in order to do that, I have to dig out my other Switch and update that one first.

This is extremely dumb. WTH are you thinking, Nintendo?

Re: 50 Best Nintendo Switch Games To Play Right Now (2025)

Not really interested in the 3D Zelda games on Switch. There's just something about the look and the harsh lighting that really, really turns me off. I bought Pokemon Arceus when it first came out and haven't really played it much because it's got the same kind of look and feel. It just FEELS wrong. I can't enjoy the game because my senses are too busy telling me that everything is not right. It's frustrating. I have similar reactions to some other art styles in games, too.

Eh. Zelda should be higher. It's a masterpiece. Personally rather tired of remakes and anime looking stuff (though it's nice to play Thousand Year Door on the Switch). Glad to see Balatro get a good rank.

Re: The Game Awards GOTY For 2024 Is Astro Bot

Flickumbicus

I don't understand why people are going ga-ga over Astrobot. I don't see anything new or unique about it. It's looks like just a retread of similar games with a different skin. First thing I thought of when I first looked at it was Grow Up/Grow Home + Super Mario Odyssey.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Four More Titles

@KingMike I remember when they released games I've heard of. I mean, I've heard of Battletoads, but it's not my jam. It just seems there are so many more SNES games they could choose from. How about the original SimCity, Beavis and Butt-Head, Warlock, any of the NBA or NHL games, Shadowrun, Speed Racer, Madden, DUNGEON MASTER (I really would like to see this one!), Paladin's Quest, Star Trek, Chessmaster... the list goes on. And, like someone else has already mentioned, it'd be nice if the Japanese games had English translations. I'd love to try them out, but when I can't read what's going on, well...
