@Dr_Lugae "Nobody using this device is using it innocently, they know what they're doing and they know why they're getting banned from Nintendo's online."
You can't possibly know that. And, based on some comments in this very thread, you are, indeed, wrong.
I wonder if this is going to get extended to the OG Switch. I don't pirate Switch games, but I do have a MIG and a stack of legally purchased game cards I am dumping for PERSONAL use only.
Diablo III Season 35... on my OG Switch. Just because the Switch 2 is the new hotness doesn't mean the OG Switch is dead. I hope you guys don't stop covering games for the OG Switch... that's the only reason I visit here.
PS: As an aside, yes, I do still play my New3DSXL, but that ship has sailed.
Nah. Not with the Switch 2 prices as they are, and not with so many games still to play on my current Switch. Maybe I'll get a Switch 2 someday... but this one got me through the pandemic and is currently getting me through a bout of job searching, so we've got some years together yet.
Good. At least someone is standing up to this AI "art" BS. Sag-Aftra shouldn't give an inch. Next thing you know, more people are out of work. And before someone gives the "boohoo rich actors" reply, please get educated. The "rich and famous" people we see are a small percentage of the people that make these films and shows and products happen. Most are working actors and live paycheck to paycheck.
This virtual game card thing is a complete hassle. I have multiple Switches, one docked and one for portable play. If I wanted to play a game on multiple Switches (one at a time, I'm not an octopus), all I had to do was turn it on, load the game, and play.
I tried to get into ACNH this morning, and it's telling me I need to "move the game card" to this system first. But, in order to do that, I have to dig out my other Switch and update that one first.
This is extremely dumb. WTH are you thinking, Nintendo?
Not really interested in the 3D Zelda games on Switch. There's just something about the look and the harsh lighting that really, really turns me off. I bought Pokemon Arceus when it first came out and haven't really played it much because it's got the same kind of look and feel. It just FEELS wrong. I can't enjoy the game because my senses are too busy telling me that everything is not right. It's frustrating. I have similar reactions to some other art styles in games, too.
I love that it's a world/kingdom of rats. I love rats. I have the first one which I haven't played a ton, but which I've enjoyed. It's just difficult. I will certainly get this one, too. RATS!
This list is really biased toward modern games. Sure, graphics are more realistic now, but graphics aren't everything. Some of the best gameplay can be found in older games. This list seems uninformed.
Eh. Zelda should be higher. It's a masterpiece. Personally rather tired of remakes and anime looking stuff (though it's nice to play Thousand Year Door on the Switch). Glad to see Balatro get a good rank.
I don't understand why people are going ga-ga over Astrobot. I don't see anything new or unique about it. It's looks like just a retread of similar games with a different skin. First thing I thought of when I first looked at it was Grow Up/Grow Home + Super Mario Odyssey.
It's pretty on the outside, but no OLED just puts it over the top on the no column for me. The screen is just really small for me on these things, anyway. If it had OLED, though, I'd have found myself struggling....
@KingMike I remember when they released games I've heard of. I mean, I've heard of Battletoads, but it's not my jam. It just seems there are so many more SNES games they could choose from. How about the original SimCity, Beavis and Butt-Head, Warlock, any of the NBA or NHL games, Shadowrun, Speed Racer, Madden, DUNGEON MASTER (I really would like to see this one!), Paladin's Quest, Star Trek, Chessmaster... the list goes on. And, like someone else has already mentioned, it'd be nice if the Japanese games had English translations. I'd love to try them out, but when I can't read what's going on, well...

@Andy_Witmyer 100% agree. Multiple monkeys at multiple typewriters could have done better than some of his reviews.
Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online SNES Game, Ranked
@depwnz I'm with you. Earthbound is easily #1 on this list for people who can look beyond Mario for good Nintendo games.
Re: Best Donkey Kong Games Of All Time
Admit it: you guys wrote each title on a piece of paper, threw them all into a hat, and drew them one by one to make this list.

@Zufolobelisk Seriously.
Re: Back Page: Mario Kart World's Roster Is Full Of Deep Cuts, So Where Are These Guys?
They can all stay gone. Haven’t heard of any of them aside from Cappy and the Question Block, and neither of those as a Kart racer.

@moreDKplz Oh, wild. I didn’t even know that existed. Thanks!
Re: Talking Point: Why An LCD Screen Isn't The End Of The World For Switch 2
Ok, I'm apparently super out of the loop. What are those Playstation looking joycons on the Switch 2?

Good column, both with the letters and the responses. Good news all around, in my book. Keep up the good work... and thank you.

As someone who couldn't stand the DK Country iteration, this is a welcome change.

Nintendo > Sega. Always has been since the days of NES vs SMS.

No review is a big miss here.
Re: Feature: 10 Years Ago, Nintendo Launched The Very Best 3DS
I have both the regular size N3DS and the N3DSXL and I usually use the larger one, simply because I'm old and my eyes need it.
Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate In Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom?
I haven't noticed any frame rate issues in either game... now I'm going to be hyper-aware next time I play.
