Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Xenocity You do realize that the last statement you made was pretty stupid, right? Splatoon, along with smash u and mk8 are the three main reasons people are still playing their wii u, not to mention that the game is critically praised as one the best games in this gaming generation. I love animal crossing and would love a new installment, but to say that Nintendo should have made AC HD over Splatoon is simply stupid.

Having stated all of the above, that the main team of animal crossing were busy doesn't justify nintendo's decision to approve this crappy game, no matter what you say.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Xenocity Dude, you say you're happy with your purchase and that you don't care if others post negative comments towards this crap of a game, and yet you continue to respond to every single comment when people express their disatisfaction with Nintendo backing money-grabbing projects such as this game, not to mention that some of your comments are pointless facts that do not justify the decision to make a stupid mario party clone out of a beloved franchise such as animal crossing. Go and play your beloved amiibo festival instead of pestering people that do not agree with you.

Re: Poll: Nintendo's Free-to-Play Experiments - Are You Still Playing?

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Benny3999 Had the same issue with that piece of sh*t a couple of days ago. My recommendation is this team: Mawile/Mega Mawile (if you have Charizard along with charizardite to turn to Charizard Y it works wonders), Ninetales, Sudowoodo/Aerodactyl and Lucario. He will still beat you a couple times, but if you hang in there with that team, you will pierce his a** in no time. It will also help to have a Moves +5, in case he blocks you with disruptions to prevent you from comboing him a lot.

Re: Shigesato Itoi Explains, Once Again, Why Mother 4 is "Totally Impossible"

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@bngrybt He wouldn't do any of those things, the Mother trilogy is just as fine as it is in his eyes, not to mention that those ideas you proposed are the exact opposite of what he wants.
Sure, the director's cut won't cause any backlash, but a prequel trilogy? Prequel to what? The only game that could have a prequel is Mother 3; SPOILERS ALERT one that covers the lives of the citizens of Tazmily before the world reset, but that would be lame as hell, I prefer not to know how they lived before and just imagine how everything was before the reset.

So, that's one game, what do the other 2 games will cover? See, that's why Itoi won't do it anymore, the story was closed properly and doesn't need any kind of unnecessary expansion.

Re: Shigesato Itoi Explains, Once Again, Why Mother 4 is "Totally Impossible"

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Nintendude789 Yeah, no. I'll admit that most people know Ness and Lucas thanks to smash, but to call that pathetic, makes you even more pathetic.
Mother 2 and 3 are currently considered 2 of the best games of all time, true gaming gems that won't be forgotten, no matter what you say or what your reasoning is, they simply won't fade away.
Ironically, even though those psychic boys are better known for smash, it was because of Ness' single appearance in the very first smash 64 that people started to get awfully curious to check out the game where he was from, and voilá, the cult folllowing for mother 2 was born, the same applies to Lucas and mother 3 when he appeared in brawl.
Your reasoning is as stupid as saying that gunstar heroes will be forgotten just because there hasn't been a new installment recently.

Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Wii U eShop / DS)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

I think the main issue with this FE is that it´s too bland, I mean, look at the graphics, they are nowhere as good as the ones on the GBA, which were so full of color and the animations were pretty fluid. The music is OK, but nothing spectacular to be honest and the gameplay is downright boring.

I played this after the GBA trilogy and was terribly dissappointed with the overall blandness that this game radiated, I don't see the 8 the reviewer awards this game, an 8 is for games like Sacred Stones, which is one of the easiest in the series, but the gameplay is entertaining and the game doesn't force you to kill your own units to access other chapters..

Re: Mighty No. 9 Producer Shares Regret Over Delay, and Clarifies the Reasoning Behind RED Ash Campaign

FRANKLIN_BADGE

As much as I am grateful for what he did with Mega Man, Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero, Keiji Inafune is quickly proving that he doesn't have the slightest clue on how to handle a company by all the terrible decisions he's made since he left capcom: His Kaio project never went anywhere, people just forgot about its existence, it finally got canned and lost millions on the process, then MN9 was delayed countless times, had a feminazi forum moderator that never played a single megaman game in her entire pathetic life and got the job by sleeping with someone, and worst of all, Inafune thinks this will be the next super mario, legend of zelda or mega man for that matter, since he already has plans for a live-action movie, an animated series, a toyline, a special edition kellog's cereal and beck-inspired condoms BEFORE RELEASING THE GODDAMN GAME.

I really don't believe in this man as the spine or head of a company, he screws up constantly, yeah, he's cool designing characters or robots, but that's it. You need a very strategic and precise mind in order to survive in the corporate world, and Keiji just keeps letting everybody down ever since this project was announced.

Re: Video: Watch Acclaimed Manga Artist Kozaki Yusuke Draw Felicia From Fire Emblem Fates

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Chaoz No, it´s not superior to Lyn, but this artist knows his stuff and it clearly shows in this video. You´re just one of the many FE fanboys that are stuck in the past and cannot accept that the series can´t just re-use the same type of art in modern iterations of the games. I admit that I prefer the older looks of fire emblem, but the new models for the characters are certainly appealing, this is a game that truly excels for me as a fire emblem fan.

Re: Talking Point: The Pros, Cons and Questionable Likelihood of a Nintendo NX Release in Summer 2016

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Sylveon I wouldn´t be so naive as to believe everything miyamoto, iwata or fils-aime say, they contradict themselves far too much. Remember when Iwata said that Nintendo wouldn´t release anything on mobile phones or that they would never go DLC because all of their products are 100% complete? Yeah, the man just isn´t reliable.

Bottom line, I hope the NX releases next year, because, let´s be frank here, the wii u is doing terrible on sales, thay are depending far too much on the 3DS to stay afloat.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@FireFrog4 Yeah, I´m a sony fanboy who owns every Nintendo console but the wii u, great deduction abilities there Sherlock; and you´re a nintendo blind fanboy, and my piece of advice to you would be: stop gloryfying everything that nintendo does, just because it has mario on the cover doesn´t mean it´s a good game and face the facts, the ps4 is pwning the wii u, it´s not an opinion, it´s a fact. I should be more embarrassed talking to you over something so simple as that.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@FireFrog4 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA REALLY???!!!! MARIO TENNIS OPEN A SKILLFUL GAME???!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Dude, all of your credibility as a gamer went down the toilet the moment you acknowledged that piece of crap as an amazing game, I had that game for 4 months and all I had to do to win is simply tap the touch screen, the chance shots literally tell you what to do, the circles show you where the ball is going to land and what is the best shot you can do to return it to your adversary. Be it human or CPU, the game literally helps you all the time, the game simply has no challenge.

You want a deep game? Advance wars. The graphics are really simple, but the gameplay and music are incredible, all of the units have a certain aspect that can push you forward to victory or defeat, depending on how you use them, and you simply cannot win just by winging it a la mario tennis open, nope, in this game you either plan your every move or the AI is gonna serve you your own ass. You´re mistaking me for shallow, I think the adjective you're looking for is complex.

I´m not even gonna bother reading the rest of your comment, if you want games where you´re told exactly what to do step by step and force you to buy figurines to enjoy the game 100%, then be my guest, but I´m not even gonna bother with crap like that. I´m a nintendo gamer but unlike you I´m not a blind fanboy that ignores the possibility that maybe the ps4 is pwning the wii u because sony is actually delivering games that their fanbase really want to play and enjoy.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@FireFrog4 I don´t want the same thing all over again, I can appreciate an excellent new twist when it´s applied in the correct manner, for example the warioware series, it´s a very different approach than the classic wario land series, it´s a series of minigames that test your reflexes and memory, it can appeal to both the casual gamer that wants a quick fix or the hardcore one that wants to have the best times and/or high scores. You see? That´s a different new series created from an original, wario land, and it was created with an open approach for all kinds of gamers.

Yet your casual perspective blinds you from seeing the real issue here, you´re talking apples and oranges here and it clearly shows when you compare super mario 3D world, epic yarn and splatoon to pieces of crap like animal crossing party, because Super mario 3D world and Splatoon are AAA games, the only one that could be used in your example is epic yarn.

And I can shove your comment aside with 1 game that can compare to metroid ff and animal crossing party: MARIO TENNIS OPEN, the most casual and boring game nintendo has released in recent years; the "game" is basically you tap the touch the screen and the game basically plays itself. So tell me, how is mario tennis open much more fun than gravity rush for example?

You want a game that basically is GO BUY A SET OF ANIMAL CROSSING FIGURINES, TAP THEM IN THE GAMEPAD AND WATCH THE GAME PLAY ITSELF!!!!!! And you say I´m the one who´s wrong? Pleeeeease....

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@FireFrog4 The main problem Nintendo has right now, are gamers like you. Don´t take it the wrong way, it´s just that from everything that you posted you sound like a very casual fanboy nintendo gamer who would buy everything from them, even if it´s just on sub-par quality. Ok, that being said, animal crossing amiibo festival sucks ass because instead of giving us a proper animal crossing game that actually resembles the source material from where it came from, NOPE, just do a mario party kinda spinoff, launch a new line of amiibos, make them mandatory for the game and the fish will bite, yeah, we´re geniuses here at nintendo.

People like you will buy that atrocity of a game, and since nintendo will see that it sold decent because of that, they are gonna assume that every gamer is awaiting an amiibo festival 2, so in a couple years, on the nx, we will see the next iteration of amiibo festival, with 3 more waves of amiibos.

That is the reason why nintendo is putting out sh*tty games like that one.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Notoriousdrp THANK YOU, it is certainly a joy when you find someone who isn´t a nintendo fanboy justifying all of their current decisions with just NINTENDO IS NINTENDO, THEY ARE THE BEST, THEY WON E3 AND EVERYTHING IS GOLD FROM THEM and actually present a valid point of view.

First of all, yes, they just can´t afford at this point in the console race to be entirely experimental, like they are doing right now with all of the titles they announced at e3. I mean, while Sony announced the FFVII remake that will sell millions of copies and obviously, it will also sell ps4 consoles like the original ps1 game did, Nintendo had the perfect opportunity to counter that and announce a new metroid game for the wii u, to sell more consoles at this point, but nope, federation force is more than enough. CHRIST, even showing off a little of Zelda U would have been a blessing to partially halt all the FFVII/DOOM hype.

Second, the only true game that they showed at e3 was star fox zero, and even though it is an amazing looking game, let´s be frank here, it won´t help boost the sales of the wii u like FFVII will surely do for the ps4, not even close. This e3 was the perfect time to announce something outstanding that would help the wii u sell, but nope, all the good games will be for the nx.

Third, Nintendo is getting waaaaaayyyy too cocky with their amiibos, and while I love them and have a few on my shelves, they are terrible meeting with the demand, and instead of making a balance between supply and demand, they just keep crapping out wave after wave of amiibos, not giving a flying f~ck about seriously re-stocking several of them.

Fourth, I read A LOT of comments in the likes of: It´s not the end of the world, I mean, come on, just look at Yoshi´s wolly world or Xenoblade Chronicles X, they look awesome and you bet I´m gonna pay big bucks for those!!!! Yeah, but those are core gamers and/or people that already have the console, people not owning a wii u right now, won´t buy it just because those games will come out for the wii u, they want something awesome that will help their decision to buy the system, but they are not getting it.

In general.... Nintendo is slipping away because at this point in the game, they are just fooling around while Sony and Microsoft are in a stance of NO MORE MR. NICE GUY, this is the time when the wii u needs serious safe bets to attract more potential buyers, but sadly, I think that they won´t be able to stop the FFVII avalanche.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Tackles Metroid Prime: Federation Force and amiibo Criticism

FRANKLIN_BADGE

At this point, I really think I won´t even consider buying a wii u, because when miyamoto, iwata or fils-aime talk about it, they seem to contradict themselves a lot. I love nintendo, a lot actually, but it seems that buying a PS4 is a far better option than a wii u at this point.

I guess I´ll return to see if the NX is woth picking up, because it seems that the system is dead in the water, other than star fox zero and zelda u (which I´m guessing will apply the twilight princess example, of launching when the nx is about to come out), there is nothing worth picking up in the near future.

Re: New Trailer Emerges for Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@uhhhhhhhh The problem is that they don´t even know who they´re aiming this at. Not the fire emblem fans nor the smt fans, they´re just winging it aimlessly trying to show off the game to see who´s interested. I am truly disappointed by this, as I was expecting something epic and revolutionary, but nope, this is strictly for j-pop, otaku, ramune-drinking and kawaii fans.

Re: New Trailer Emerges for Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem

FRANKLIN_BADGE

This will be a complete flop here in the west, due to the fact that I just don´t see Fire Emblem here, it´s just kawaii, j-pop, boobs, then kawaii again, then j-pop, then boobs and then the end. I don´t understand who they´re trying to appeal with this trailer. My prediction is that while FE Fates will dominate in both east and west, just like awakening did before, only the hardcore fans will get this, which means they´re gonna sell less than half of the units they hope.

Re: Video: Latest Teens React Episode Proves Age Has Done Little To Dull Contra's Insane Difficulty Level

FRANKLIN_BADGE

This is the stupidest channel and idea I´ve ever seen in my entire life, and that says a lot, considering enlightening things like pewdipie exist on youtube.

This is either with teens that act "URR DURR ME DUMB, ME ACT, IT´S HARD!!!!" or it´s with elderly people that are so damn impressionable by everything in the game like "URR HOW I DID THAT???? URR DURR THAT´S SO BLOODY!!!"

This sucks, there´s nothing more to it.

Re: New Mega Man TV Series Blasting Its Way to Screens in... 2017

FRANKLIN_BADGE

This won´t happen, mark my words, Capcom doesn´t give a sh*t about Rockman fans anymore. I mean, if they couldn´t deliver Rockman to appear on Marvel vs Capcom 3 and they also cancelled Rockman Legends 3, not to mention a sh*tty 25th anniversary, I won´t even bother fo expect anything Rockman-related from them anymore.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Confirmed for Wii U

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Legromancer I´m mad because this happens every damn time something is skipping the Wii U, like when this game was supposed to be released on PS4, XBOX ONE and STEAM only, you went straight to the comments and every damn comment was attacking the project and Igarashi himself for not favouring Nintendo, even though on the advance and ds eras, we got 6 metroidvania games.

Now all of a sudden when the game is announced for Wii U, everyone that was attacking it is like "Yeah, I´m gonna back it, knew Igarashi-San was only kidding when the Wii U wasn´t announced to have the game, yeah, I´m fully suporting it, never ever would I attack such wonderful thing".

I don´t know about you, but to me, that´s just being a filthy hypocrite.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Confirmed for Wii U

FRANKLIN_BADGE

What a bunch of hypocrites you all are, now that the Wii U version is announced, now everybody is happy and will gladly support it, but a couple weeks ago all of you were like: F~CK IGARASHI, SERIOUSLY, F~CK THAT GUY FOR SKIPPING WII U!!!!! MAY HE BURN IN HELL!!!!!

Oh the internet, you never cease to amaze me...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem Wii U Crossover is Finally Shown

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Senario Yeah, but there´s an abismal difference between inspired in anime and totally anime, now, don´t get me wrong, I like anime, but this style they particularly used just doesn´t fit the typical fire emblem artwork. I love awakening, and yes, the character models are anime-esque, but it also appeals to western audiences. I just don´t see the appeal in this, I think that the 3DS game will be a much superior game and overall better experience, but that´s just me.

Re: The New 3DS Fire Emblem Will Force You To Pick A Side

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@StaticWind If history has taught us something, is that you gotta pick a side, otherwise you get killed for being in the way. Awakening had an AWESOME replay value, now imagine having 2 different storylines and I´m sure intelligent systems is gonna release DLC for this. Damn, so much hype!!!!

Re: The New 3DS Fire Emblem Will Force You To Pick A Side

FRANKLIN_BADGE

HOLY F*CK!!!!!!! I SIMPLY CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS TO BE RELEASED!!!!! Obviously, every experienced fire emblem player such as myself is gonna pick the Nohr side, as it was stated that it´s harder than the Hoshido route. Being part of the bad guys team is something I´ve wanting to do for a looooong time in fire embem. 2016 is the Fire Emblem year for sure.

Re: Poll: Vote For Your Ten Must-Play Games On Nintendo 3DS

FRANKLIN_BADGE

The 3DS is definitely Nintendo´s strongest console since the SNES, its library right now is simply amazing, I have lost count of how many hours I´ve dedicated to this simply amazing handheld. The best games available for it right now are:

-Animal Crossing: New Leaf
-Fire emblem: awakening
-TLOZ: ALBW
-Super Smash Bros. 3DS
-Super Mario 3D Land

Re: Review: Shantae And The Pirate's Curse (Wii U eShop)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@Yosher If you have a 3DS, you´re in HUGE luck, because all 3 games are available there. Shantae for the GBC, which was added like a year ago for the VC, Shantae: Risky´s Revenge, which is a DSI game, it's downloadable on the 3DS and ´finally this one, which I downloaded on the 3DS to have the trilogy on a single console, for the awesome 3D Effect and to have it on the go.

So, bottom line: If you have a 3DS, you owe it to yourself to download this awesome trilogy ASAP!!!!

P.S: There is a fourth game coming in the future, but Wayforward only plans to release it on the wii u, since the game is in HD. Hope I could help you

Re: Review: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

@aaronsullivan It makes no difference, the AI is strong as hell and they also follow you wherever you go, want proof? Those freaking flying demons, they killed me like there was no tomorrow during my first playthrough. Another one? Hugh and Dracula, they are able to shred you to pieces easily. So, yeah, I don't get that AI bullsh*t (I also get your points, so my rant isn't towards you). Peace.

Re: Review: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

FRANKLIN_BADGE

Lack of strong enemy AI?! Are you playing the same game as I did 9 years ago? Hell, there are a lot of parts in the game where if you venture unprepared, the monsters/creatures just maul you, 2 or 3 hits from one of those elemental armors, and you're history, simple as that. Same applies with those freaking flying demons. This game is grinding every time you arrive in a new area, otherwise this game is hard as hell. Also, this game at least deserves a 9, this entry is SO much better than the other 2 gba games and the ds trilogy.
