Re: Konami Doesn't Want To Rush Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2

Edu23XWiiU

@roy130390 Kojima did make Snake do stuff like what happens in Twin Snakes. On MGS2, he boards the tanker by bungie jumping. And at the end of the game, he jumps to the water to "chase" Metal Gear Ray? Hahahaha, you're just banging your head towards a wall dude. On MGSV, Sahelanthropus pulls up a sword that creates protuberances from the ground. MGS has always been anime like, even Otacon's comparison of Snake to an action hero, and talking about anime and robots, is a direct reference to that. Accents were not kept for MGS4, so I'm right with the whole accent thing, or you wanted Mei Ling to say "flied lice" on that game? Good for you, for owning multiple consoles, but that doesn't change the fact that people saw MGS as a Sony "exclusive", and got Sony's consoles because of those games. Venom Snake was just a lame excuse from Kojima to justify the fact that Snake beat Big Boss twice. Worst plot twist ever, and don't get me started on the incomplete mess that MGSV is.

@roy130390 I'm Bolivian, and even I found Mei Ling's accent to be dumb, thank God it was disposed on Twins Snakes, and, it carried over to MGS4, since both her and Naomi don't have accents on that game. Snake battles tanks, helicopters, cyborg ninjas, enhanced soldiers, and gigantic robots. If he's not an anime character and a Super Soldier, I don't know what he is hahahaha. Besides, Kojima told Riuhei Kitamura, the director of the cutscenes, to make them "his own", instead of recreating the cutscenes as they were in the original, as Kitamura was doing first, but Kojima told him that, if he wanted to make the cutscenes as in the first game, he would have directed them himself. The cutscenes in the original are very lifeless and stiff, the improvement in the Twin Snakes was night and day. People tend to hate it because it was a GameCube exclusive, and back then, MGS was considered a "Sony exclusive", and Sony fanboys just threw crap to the game, just because it didn't came out on PS2. Now, it's generally well praised, for its improvements on the original.
And, Snake beat Big Boss, not once, but twice (the whole Venom Snake thing is stupid, but, whatever), despite being the "inferior" clone. Hell, he even beat the "Superior" clone, just with sheer willpower.

Re: Soapbox: Sony's Insane PS5 Pro Price Highlights The Delicate Balance Nintendo Must Strike With 'Switch 2'

Nintendo would never price a console like that. And, the "PROblem" consoles that Sony releases, are just an excuse to sell the base models at a chepear price, and, on the case of the PS5, is to sell refurbished consoles at half the price, and Sony will make those refurbished consoles count as a new sell hahahaha. Both Sony and Microsoft have paved the way themselves, for the need of a true next generation of consoles, that will start with the Switch's succesor. Nintendo played it nice, there was no need for them to release a new console until now, and Sony with Microsoft, have prepared the stage for Nintendo's upcoming reveal with their latest screw ups.

@roy130390 no, the one that has the inferior voice acting is the original MGS. The accents of Mei Ling and Naomi are annoying, everyone reads their lines with the sense that they need to do it as fast as possible, the delivery of the lines is underwhelming, and, on top of that, the traduction done to the Japanese script was terrible, hence why the script of Twin Snakes is an improvement, and the overall voice over work is sublime. I fell in love with MGS on PS1, but, after getting Twin Snakes, when it launched 20 years ago, I never looked back to the original, until it was re-released with the Master Collection last year, and I understood why Twin Snakes is the superior version. Even the cutscenes are better. This is the only game where we see Solid Snake do "Supersoldier stuff". It's awesome on every way.

Re: Random: Minecraft Fans Apologise To 'Story Mode' In Response To Live-Action Movie Reveal

Edu23XWiiU

Jack Black doesn't look anything like Steve. My kids have a Steve action figure, and I assume he's supposed to look like the actor who plays Andy in Modern Family. I didn't showcase the trailer to my kids yet, because I'm afraid they're going to make me go to see this movie hahahaha. I remember my son "watching" Minecraft: Story Mode on Netflix years ago. I guess he did like it.

Re: Review: Castlevania Dominus Collection (Switch) - The Strongest Konami Compilation Yet

Edu23XWiiU

This was a really great review, I laughed a lot with the Haunted Castle part hehehe. I want to get this collection, but, for Haunted Castle Revisited. As the reviewer points, this is the closest thing to a new Castlevania we're going to be getting from Konami, and it looks great! I'm not a fan of the IGA games, because they're all the same, just repackaged. In one, you have "seals", in the other you have "books", and on the other you have "glyphs", but all three do the exact same thing. Portrait of Ruin is the one that stands the most, due to having a two character gameplay system, and it has a very cool secret boss battle. Might get the collection for just PoR and HCR.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)

Edu23XWiiU

I'm going with Alien Isolation this weekend. I got it as soon as it launched on the Switch, and, my God, what an amazing survival horror game it is. Having watched Alien Romulus this past week in the movie theaters, the atmosphere the movie has, it's much closer to what Isolation is, than other Alien movies. It inspired me to complete the game for another round.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Hit 143 Million As Hardware And Software Figures Decline

Edu23XWiiU

@jamesthemagi sales are still good, even with the announcement of the reveal of the new console, they sold more Switch units this last quarter compared to the one before. And, imagine if they do a price cut of the current Switch for this holiday season, which is the time where they sell the most consoles, they'll reach those numbers easily. You're also forgetting the fact that people will still be buying the Switch, even after the new console launches, because it'll be cheaper in comparison, and the library of games is enormous.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Hit 143 Million As Hardware And Software Figures Decline

Edu23XWiiU

Still better sales than the previous quarter, there was no "killer app" for this quarter, it's understandable game sales are lower now. Those holiday sales will help Switch get closer to the DS and PS2 number. Like someone said above it's not crazy to think the Switch will sell more than 160 million units, they're going to have that number by this time next year.

Re: Shinji Mikami Wants Suda51 To Make A Killer7 Sequel

Edu23XWiiU

Killer7 was such an awesome and unique game, it got me through chicken pots back in 2006, when I got the game for Christmas. I want to buy it on Steam, but I'm still waiting for the Switch port to eventually arrive. Count me in for Killer11/Killer7 Beyond, or whatever it ends up being called!

Re: Capcom Says There Might Be An Opportunity For A New MvC Game

Edu23XWiiU

@burninmylight "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and its graphical characteristics were optimized for the Wii, which prevents the game from being ported to other consoles without completely re-building the game." There you go, taken straight from Wikipedia. This game will stay as a Wii exclusive forever, for this reason in particular, and the licensing issues in general.

Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Take Up Eight Of The Top Ten

Edu23XWiiU

Funny thing is, the big third party titles available on Switch, are beating out by a large margin, their siblings in the other consoles. FC on Switch beating out the PS5 and PS4 versions, speak a lot about how well the Switch is doing. Even MK1! Not as good as expected game, but it's a very solid version now.

Re: Nintendo's Miscrediting Practices Are "Ridiculous", Say External Translators

Edu23XWiiU

"According to the external translators, who worked with Nintendo as CONTRACTORS THROUGH SERVICE PROVIDER Localsoft". That's all you need to know, to realize this is BS. They were contractors, freelancers, hired by an outsourcing company, NOT Nintendo. Also, they agreed to those terms by themselves, no one put a gun in their heads to sign on and do their jobs. You feel like you were robbed? You knew what you were signing off to do, like any other freelancer work. It's called REAL LIFE.
