Digital Foundry is giving false information about the Switch 2. They got it wrong saying that Cyberpunk didn't use DLSS, when is the opposite, and they also said Yakuza 0 was running at 1080p, when it's 4K. They're trying to bring the console down. I never listen to them anyways, but more people should do the exact same thing.
@kedireturns Nintendo will take a loss for every console sold now, since also the Yen has depreciated, and whole global inflation also comes as a factor. It's not greed, it's life. Is it greed that the vegan burger you surely buy, Karen, costs more than it did 8 years ago? See, you're already justifying Sony's actions hahaha, rats do act like that. Sony's game become cheaper quickly, because they don't sell well, and, they're already on second hand sales, less than a month after they release, whereas, Nintendo games ALWAYS do sell well, and that's why they keep the price. Wake up, Karen, life is hard.
Where are the people, that were accusing Nintendo of being greedy with the pricing of the Switch 2 and its games? Say the same thing about Sony now, rats hahahaha.
@dskatter Try to say that, when the game finishes installing from the disc, and then tries to update itself. Some games just won't run without an internet connection.
If you don't understand that, this is because of inflation, then you're a man child, who doesn't know what life is. Things will never keep the same price, as time passes by. And, Nintendo Life, spreading misinformation for their audience to stay ignorant, why am I not surprised.
@dskatter wrong, every single PS4-PS5 game needs to be installed to the console, you don't play the games from the discs themselves, dude hahahaahahaha.
@HammerKirby and it's an slower instalation of the game, and, you're not counting that, most PS5 games, even after installing th game from the disc, still need to download a hefty update, so, worst issue, anyways.
That means, whatever they showcase next week in terms of Software during the Direct, will only be playable on Switch 2. Amazing. Let's see what they present for Switch, on what will be the last Direct for the system! 8 years, it has reign, the last stand comes tomorrow!
Imagine releasing a portable console, that will be expensive and not that great, on the same year that Nintendo will release the Switch 2. Microsoft just keeps shooting itself in the face.
@darkswabber go and celebrate it on PushSquare dude hahaha. Dude's right, there's a sells drop. If it would have been on Switch, that sales level would have been achieved.
@GameOtaku platforms changed, so interface and architecture changed, so, no cross download. It was cross gen with the Wii and Wii U, but it wasn't popular, and now, you don't even have to buy the games. So, tough luck dude.
Oh maaan, this game looks awesome! The game we deserved back in the day, but never got. That awful Super Nes LJN game drove me crazy, I only got as far as Cyberdyne Industries, because I ran out of bullets, and the enemies would give you bullets of the weapon you left behind.
Sparks of Hope certainly didn't have the SPARK that the first game had. Something was missing, definitely. I remember trying Kingdom Battle when it was free for NSO subscribers, I ended up buying the game. Wasn't the same case with Sparks of Hope, even my kids didn't feel engaged with it.
@GameOtaku that's just not how it works dude. Even emulators on PC get updated from time to time, and good emulation took a long time to be achieved, specially with N64 games. Still, the service will remain, and if you don't like, that's fine. The majority of people paying for it, are quite satisfied, and that's what matters, at the end.
@GameOtaku because emulators don't work that way. Since each system as it's own architechture, even emulators need to be developed for each system independently from what came before. Take a look at the N64 emulation, for instance. Those games need extra work, because it's actually very hard to emulate N64 games adequately, since the console read data so fast. Now, with the NSO apps, they're giving a service that can translate the games you played, to future platforms with no additional development barriers, so far. I insist tho, VC was cross gen between Wii and Wii U, but it was still trashed by people. So, complaining for the sake of complaining, it's not ver smart.
@GameOtaku It did cross gens, from the Wii to the Wii U, basically, and it still failed. Nintendo was always trying to offer wasy for players to enjoy classic through modern means, like the Nintendo Power machine in Japan, that let you buy and download Famicom and Super Famicom games to special rewrittable cartridges. They were even thinking on putting classic games on the DD64, but because that add-on wasn't popular, the idea didn't came into fruition. You can also take a look at all the rereleases of SNES games on the GBA, and the NES Classic Series on the same console, as a sort of "Virtual Console" prototype, but that's when people started to complain about having to buy the same game again, for the fifth time. You can't just put games that people had already bought on another system, since all the systems' architecture was different, you couldn't do that, until the Wii arrived, and Nintendo wanted to keep that virtual library for years to come, but then the Wii U came out, and Nintendo had to also change their approach on the release of their legacy content. And, even if Nintendo would allow you to buy the games that are included on the NSO apps, people would still complain about the pricing of the games, so, better to just put them as part of the subscription offering, and it has been working very well, so far.
@GameOtaku during the Wii era, the drop of releases was great, but, like I said before, it was the same during the Wii U era, they even added Wii titles, and I have no doubts that they were planning to include GC titles on the VC offers, but, since people back then thought it was crap, Nintendo basically did a clean slate, and presented the current product, that's working well, and that's how it's going to be kept for the future.
@NinChocolate nah, it's Nintendo. If you work with the best, they're always going to steer you to the right path. And besides, that Dev's "micromanagement" concept, and what was really happening, diverge very much from what micromanagement actually is.
@GameOtaku that was on the Wii and the Wii U, but, the audience lost between the transition of those two consoles, and the lack of popularity of VC on the Wii U, led Nintendo to change the way of offering their legacy game, and made that suggestion of your irrelevant. Actually, there was that transfer system between Wii and Wii U, that was also very unpopular, so, there you have it hehehe.
@GameOtaku precious memory space? Those are just megabytes hahaahaha. And, no, they don't know if you owned those games before, how would they, if I may ask?
@GameOtaku that's the sort of platform they're building right now. Everything will be carried over now, and your advance in all of those classic games, you'll be able to transfer that to future console generations, not just to the Switch 2.
@TKundNobody wise words, bro. Those supposed Virtual Console "lovers" complained during the Wii U era, about having to buy Mario Bros 3 for the nth time, and now they cry that they can't spent thousands of dollars on all that library available through the NSO apps.
@LadyCharlie nah bro, having Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, and the rest of the N64 games available, it's fantastic for that alone. Sega Genesis games are also very welcomed.
@boxyguy I do the exact same thing bro. The Joy-Cons have the best controller design ever. I remember when the Switch came out, I used to carry my new born baby, with both Joy-Cons on each hand hehehe.
@Dr_Lugae Hahahaahha yeah man. It'll be like "Nintendo Switch, after much struggle, finally surpasses the PS2 in sales. It took the system too long to do that, and now, our masters at Sony will update the PS2 numbers soon, to reflect the real sales numbers after all this years. Too late, Nintendo!"
