Zelda and Bokoblin Added to Breath of the Wild amiibo Range

I got enough amiibos right now, I don't need more.

Must admit I like the look of these amiibos, not sure I need them though. Maybe we'll get some amiibo card versions?

I'm buying all of them, only because I have all the other Zelda amiibo. Hopefully their functionality within BotW will be more impressive than the 30th Anniversary amiibo collection.

The cost of BotW and Switch peripherals has lost Nintendo my pre-order.

I don't get that rrp for Zelda standard edition, I'm not comfortable with that. I can't get Switch at launch anyway, so I'll be getting Breath Of The Wild on Wii U initially.

Need to know the full compatibility and functionality of all of the amiibos before I make a decision about these... I've already got Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Sheik and Ganondorf amiibo from the existing collections (plus Wolf Link), so if they basically do the same thing as these new ones then I don't really see the point.

More amiibo figurines I need... I hope some of these will be available as amiibo cards. I'm not sure I'll be buying more than 3, maybe 4 amiibo figurines this year. Then maybe if some of them could be bought cheaper and easier to store as cards, I would get some cards too.

My youngest son (3) loves playing with the family Amiibo collection to the point he takes Kirby everywhere he goes.

Love the new Zelda design. Her face is different, not the usual anglo beauty. It has something different, I liked it.

I wonder how the new Zelda amiibo will be used in Breath of the Wild, and whether they'll actually get any good uses in any other Switch games.

Well I think I'm gonna get Archer-Link and the Guardian, those two look really great.
The so-called 'Zelda' amiibo is disappointing though, she looks nothing like Zelda.

@Deadstanley Couldn't tell you; I don't even know what MSRP for amiibos usually is. The prices you're describing are the prices I was seeing when I commented last night, that's all I know.

I'm strangely okay with it. I mean... he was originally based on Peter Pan so distancing from that is okay with me... I think.

You know, Zelda looks ready for adventure... and has that same — I wonder if she is playable at some point! Either way I'm glad this is one where she is actively involved.

@aaronsullivan You're right by pointing out that all those characters looked different in all those different games and I was aware of that when I wrote my previous post.
But the thing is: across all those different games that I played (only the 3D games), no matter how different Link or Zelda looked, they still kinda looked similar in a way.

To me (and of course this is highly subjective), the new BotW Link still looks kinda similar to the Link from SS, TP, OoT, Smash, HW or Soul Calibur.
But the new Zelda looks nothing like the Zelda from SS, TP, Oot, Smash or HW. At least not for me...
I mean, where is her dress and her crown? Where are those pointy ears? And why does her face look so generic, like that of a barbie doll?

I love the new look on Zelda.

Pity there's no mega Zelda bundle like both versions of the game in a steelbook, the statue, the CD and a physical map and the amiibo for a slight lower price. Heck, bundle that all with a Zelda edition Switch, make the box look like a treasure chest and slap a £400 price tag for all of it and you've got a Zelda fan's new holy grail.....

@jswhitfield8 depending on which part of the UK you're in Argos has BOTW available for pre-order for £49.99! It's still expensive in my opinion but way better than £70, hopefully the game really is as good as it looks
