Re: Random: Hey, A Switch Online N64 Game Description Mentions Golden Sun

Gameboy games will be next for the switch online service. Considering they are going in order by systems with the gameboy being released by the last version which is the gameboy advanced which was released in March 2001 while the GameCube was released in November 2001. I would expect with the next two years( after all the N64 titles announced are released and about a year after) for Nintendo to release gameboy games on their service. It will probably follow suit with a new a Switch model probably a Switch Advanced or Switch 4k or even Switch Advanced4k maybe to launch close to or along side it. Nintendo says they have no plans to release GameCube or wii games on the switch online service but those games right now are being released on the store and at retailers. I would expect GameCube games to at least be on the switch online around 2025-2027 though I would say that is 20-25 years after the releases.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online's N64 Games Need Some Work

Dirty0814

@Nookingtons exactly. These games are playing as intended and no different than they did on the N64. They seriously need people that know what their talking about and have played the originals to be the ones giving reviews not some hacks that know nothing about older systems.

Re: For The First Time In 33 Months, Switch Wasn't The US' Best-Selling Console In September

Dirty0814

@FredsBodyDouble I strongly believe they are waiting until things are back to normal. Nintendo sees the issues everyone else is having and doesn’t want to get into that supply issue area so they just modified the switch with things that wouldn’t be an issue getting supplies of. I strongly believe the new 4K version ( docked) was going to release this year hence why the dock is capable of it. To do so and seamlessly they would need to have better hardware specs I believe as well and that puts them in a gray area and probably at a price point of at least 400 used also if not a little more. I am not getting the oled because within two years they will have yet another console upgrade I believe and I already have the second model so do not really need the oled anyways so I’ll wait for the newer better switch or the SwitchXL 4K I should say lol.

@Torn I agree about the ps and Xbox part but Nintendo hasn’t forgot about the fans. They have their ips and make games for them. All their games are extremely popular and it takes years to make and develop a game. Sony and Microsoft have fewer first party games than Nintendo does actually. The only thing you could be talking about is third party games that don’t come to Nintendo just because they are never the top in the graphics category. They are all the same in trying to hit a nitch gaming crowd. Ps wants console players that will buy anything where as Nintendo wants gamers that just like to play games and Microsoft is shooting for the pc crowd migration of gaming.

Re: Limited Run Reveals Its Physical Version Of Crysis 2 Remastered For Switch

@EVIL-C actually that’s completely wrong. Pay more =‘s higher inflation and in the end you make less. Pay is not the issue with worker shortages.’ In fact limited run pays around 47k a year for customer service reps( you can look that up through Glassdoor and indeed). That’s over 22 an hour, if the customer reps are making that then the manufacturing workers are making more as customer service pays less than manufacturing typically. They pay plenty.
Hell even where I work we put out over 50 jobs starting at 20+ an hour and they pulled them down and never filled them because of the uncertainty of the economy. We have even put new lines of products on hold that would employ over 100 people per line alone. If my company is putting a hold on things then there are big issues happening. The last and only time they ever had any slow down or layoff was in 08. Needless to say everyone there is getting pretty antcy.

@BloodNinja yes and that is big government. People have literally sat on their buttes for a year and a half getting unemployment plus an extra 300 a week. Until just recently. Now people are quitting in groves because of the vaccine mandates and the ones coming. Add this with the mandates for masks, social distancing, shutting down etc. they have caused thousands of businesses to close and with all the surging inflation and government spending companies are halting hiring now and some even letting people go because of the uncertainty.
That is all big government and it has been plaguing us since last year. Don’t expect it to let up and like they have been saying supply shortages will only get worse. I am sure LRG is having labor issues and probably components issues as well.
Do t get me wrong I have orders from them from last year I just received last month and at least 5 or more orders this year I haven’t received yet going all the way back to January. I want my crap but I also want it make right too.

Re: Metroid Dread Staff Say They've Been Left Out Of The Game's Credits, MercurySteam Responds

Everyone saying they aren’t going to buy the game now because of this needs to get off their woke high horse. These people contributed very little if act anything to the game. They worked in groups and most likely did almost nothing in the end. There is a reason they were not there longer and it isn’t the company. Regardless any contract signed upon hire would state these conditions and is their own fault for quitting or being let go.

Re: Taito Beat 'Em Up Typhoon Gal Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives On Switch

Dirty0814

@ogo79 ahh ok, it sounded like you were wanting the other games released. I agree they are charging way too much for the games that released. Of course Square Enix has always thought their games were worth more than they are, I’m guessing they have no clue about the Taito games and they are thinking they are worth more because of scarcity maybe. I’m with you though I already own all the original Taito games them all that I want. To be fair the whole digital game scene is way overpriced for the most part for a majority of games out there. Being charged full price for many games unless you catch them on a good sale and having to pay high prices for dlcs is ridiculous.

Re: Rumour: Developers Have Reportedly Been Working On "4K Switch Games"

Dirty0814

@Bakfug all 4K games can play in 1080p just the same, they just downscale is all. This is why I think they may release a new model which is a switch with a 4K dock and possibly a 4K dock for those that already own a switch and want to upgrade to 4K. That would be the best marketing I think there could be. They may not do a dock separately though but I hope they would.

Re: The Donkey Kong Series Has Surpassed 65 Million Sales Worldwide

Dirty0814

@Crockin I’d expect one maybe next year. Nintendo has already made a new game for all their IP’s of everything except Kong and F-Zero for the switch and ports don’t count. Add that into it’s been 7 going on 8 years since the last release it’ll happen. I see that and more Zelda ports along with maybe a new Arms game before or by 2023. I think Kong will be next year myself. That will be one of their big hitters.
There could be a new Icarus, Punch Out or even a pilot wings also but I think it’ll be a Kong that will be the heavy hitter. Would love to see a lot of their other IP’s come out with a sequel though also.
