Re: Square Enix Says A Console Version Of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Depends On Demand

Dirty0814

@Flashlink99 that’s the main reason I have the new Xbox and the only reason. If Nintendo does like they did with the da they will keep me. As far as everything else, I can just play the games I’ve collected or buy it on eBay or Amazon. I would much rather buy a game say for 150 on eBay that was on ps2 or n64 and enjoy that whenever I want than buy 2-3 of these newer games that are literally just a rehash of the same crap we’ve been playing for decades.
Honestly the biggest thing I hate about newer games is the length. I’m sorry but I seriously don’t want to play the same game for 120 hours ( BotW being an exception. I find myself playing my nes or ps2 more and more because I prefer games I can complete in a few hours to a few days or even a week or two but a freaking month, nah I’m good. Seriously invest in the classics and just play the oldies and enjoy them just as much as you did the first time you played it.

@Flashlink99 @outsider83 no need to grow out of gaming at all. Just get and keep the systems and games you love to play. I have all of the older systems and for them I have a old crt tube tv as well. I know the tv part isn’t feasible for some people but the systems and games are. Most TVs also allow you to play things not in 4K as well and in 4:3 and you can get adapters to hook the games up to the hdmi ports as well. Just adjust the settings for it. For me I do agree with the growing out of gaming as in this will be my last generation Xbox I buy probably as it is backwards compatible and I own all Nintendo systems as well and many of the games. I have no need to stop gaming just play the ones I love which I do all the time. So many lackluster games anymore that I have time to play all of them again which I don’t mind at all. It’s the route I would take instead of just growing out of gaming completely. I love the old games and there are so many of them you can literally have enough of them and never get bored with playing any of them. Be old heads and play the things you love and let the new gamers be the ones getting nickeled and dimes to death with all these micro transactions and dlcs for half complete games.
The one thing I looked for in a house when we bought one was a extra room I can have for my game room. I seen this all coming years ago and planned for it. I don’t regret it at all and over the years I have acquired quite a collection . I am satisfied with it and don’t need any of the newer stuff except the few Nintendo titles here and there. The rest of the time I play my classics and it keeps me completely satisfied. Ohh and we started doing the same with movies, buying all the older show complete series and movies and got that going as well because one day you may not be able to find it elsewhere and want it.

Re: Gabe Newell: Pricing Valve's Switch-Like Steam Deck Was "Painful"

Dirty0814

@Sev_07 it’s completely not worth it. You can buy a freaking laptop better specked then this. The 400 model has literally no hard drive for games for steam and the 256 model would allow you to only have one or two games. The only feasible model is the 512 and that’s 640. You can buy a laptop. Enter specked for that with a tab of hard drive and can literally use it for everything else as well. Also deck is not portable friendly, remember you have to login to steam to launch most games which requires internet and most games require a internet connection now as well.

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Dirty0814

@KirbysAdventure most steam games need internet to work as you need to be logged into steam before even playing them, you cannot do that without internet. Being able to have it on the system is not the issue it’s that these games need to connect to the internet like most games today. This will work no different than your pc at home and it’s not even worth it to get the $399 bmversion with only 64gb you might as well buy at least the 256 as most steam games especially today will use up that much space and that’s $539. I honestly think the 512 would be the only viable option myself and thats even more. Just like the last steam device this will fail as well.

Re: Soapbox: Can We Just Announce All Platforms At The Same Time Already?

Dirty0814

It is usually released one place first because of exclusivity. Even if it’s a week or a couple of months many companies take that extra cash for that little bit and say ohhh we need to do this or that. As for releasing difficulties non different platforms that is actually not to difficult as os and Xbox have pretty much the same build for ability to run games. Changing the buttons in the game screen and codes is a simple thing to do and the only thing to cause a lolength of time to accomplish would be bug fixes but hey companies don’t do that anymore before release. Another reason releases are not across the board is because they want to get the game out of the gate to start making Omni et. Companies have gotten away from loving game if and making games to just wanting the money now and are just shoving things through and it’s pitiful and pathetic how they do this and always expect us to buy games that are not even half finished. I understand a patch but back when companies had to release a complete product they were able to do so with no issues and any bugs found were never game breaking. How we have gotten away from quality and yet the people still drink the koolaid from these companies. Me myself I refuse to buy anything full price anymore. I’ll wait until the complete versions come out or they have all the bugs fixed etc. Needless to say I don’t usually buy games until they are out for a year or two and even longer before I buy them. This mainly happens because of what I stated above and because I prefer physicals and will wait to get one that has everything on the cartridge.

Re: New Trailer Showcases The Falconeer's DLC Expansion, 'Edge Of The World'

Dirty0814

@RandomNerds it’s on Xbox game pass if you have that so you could give it a try or just watch a actually gameplay video. I found it rather boring because your literally flying from one place to another and most the time it’s just flying, no enemies or objects just one point to another where the enemies are. Almost put me to sleep honestly but hey try it if you can before you buy most definitely.

Re: Best Metroid Games Of All Time

Dirty0814

So stupid to have the trilogy on here. It is literally already on the list. With that said I agree with Super Metroid but not the placing of all the rest except federation force at the last.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles Developer Monolith Soft Reports Huge Profits, Up By 138.2%

Dirty0814

@HeadPirate Nintendo is not behind on Splatoon or BotW2 at all. I have no idea where you even get that. As far as Metroid they are releasing one Metroid game and the Prime game was scrapped and started over because Nintendo didn’t like the direction the devs were taking it. I would rather wait a few years than get a crap game.
As for releasing Xenoblade I highly doubt it sold miserably considering it sold 1.5 million copies as of last November . That’s not a number to laugh at especially for a remaster. Xenoblade Torna has sold 1.95 million and Xenoblade 2 sold 2.05 million.
None of these are numbers to laugh at for game sales.
Now if they would remaster Chronicles X from the WiiU.

Re: Nintendo Plugs Its NSO Zelda Games Ahead Of Skyward Sword HD's Release

Dirty0814

@HIGHscores85 great game, I am working through it now myself. Already played through the other two and links awakening on the switch waiting for Skyward. Played all the others on their original consoles as well. Only one I haven’t played again was BotW. Sad but to do everything and collect it all it takes an extremely long time. I tend to not replay games that will take me 100 hours lol.
