Re: Review: Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires - A Disappointing, Dialled-Back Downgrade

Dirty0814

@PJOReilly @the8thark I honestly agree with that here. You clearly based the review off of your hate for the game and not an honest review of the game or it’s genre. In fact I have read many of your reviews and find they are all pretty much the same way and very seldom do you ever base any off of a genuine review of how the games are but your own personal preference. Reviews are I. The product and everything about how it performs and does and not on your personal fe fes.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?

Dirty0814

@TheRedComet the market will not change. Games will be getting made for the ps4 and Xbox one for years I’ll guarantee it. Performance has been proven to able to be had on lower end systems. Most pc games even run easily with older gpus. A new switch with the specs of a x one is very possible so Upscaling to 4K is possible also and would put the newer switch right on par with where it was at when the original came out or possibly even better halfway through the other consoles life spans.
I also wouldn’t expect any pro systems from
PS or Xbox either as charging more than the 500 they already are charging would not go over well.
A 400 to 500 switch that rendered 4k would be plenty powerful enough considering prices of gpus will be less by then.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?

Dirty0814

@Raffles it won’t necessarily be full 4K but the x one upscaled to 4K/ 2k realistically. I think this is basically what the switch will do and I don’t expect the new system before 2025 if that myself so by then gpu hardware that’s capable of doing that will be pretty cheap even if prices don’t go back down and even a slight upgraded gpu for handheld is possible as well to average out to the price point they would want which would be 4-500 for a 4K model I would assume.
I’m reality even the ps5 and Xbox series struggle to play full 4K compatible games also so ips along is a very good chance of happening on the switch for a slight increase in price.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?

Dirty0814

@Raffles I believe the next switch will have 4K capabilities but it will be in the dock not handheld and possibly 2 variations with one 4K and one not. Mario Kart 9 will also be released on the new system not the current one and adding these tracks are a give me basically because I see them having the next Mario Kart being like Smash and having every driver ever and ever course so basically their getting a head start.
As for 4K gaming it isn’t needed really. 4K TVs are not as common as people want to believe or monitors for pc gaming even and it is really probably utilized mostly for 4K videos and movies (looking at the series x). Gaming isn’t about the greatest graphics and companies are starting to realize that especially with all the indie companies out there now and the cost to even make those games. Sometimes it’s easier, faster and cheaper to downscale the project and in the end it sells better. Everything on the switch os a great example of that.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?

Dirty0814

@nessisonett but realistically almost everything on ps5 is going on the ps4 so as well as with Xbox and the one and series x. Seriously games are not needing more realistic graphics and people are actually proving that with the switch. There are ps5 and series x and a system to be had but in all honesty not very many exclusive games to make it worth the money. Gamers are not wanting to spend 500+ to be able to play only a couple games.

Re: The Wii U Is Getting A New eShop Game In 2022, Will Include Balance Board Support

Dirty0814

@Cheez I would love to see a switch U type of integration. I would be fine with them making it where the Wiimote or nunchuck can be used or even have newer versions, the joycons just are not the same or as good that way I think. I would also love to see an adapter you could plug into the switch or a new switch system that allows handheld mode while playing on the tv as well like the WiiU did. All doable and hopefully will all be included in the new switch with hopefully better graphics once this chip shortage ends.

Re: Nintendo President Reiterates That Switch Is "Just In The Middle Of Its Lifecycle"

Dirty0814

@Rayquaza2510 So from what I’ve seen is you have no argument. You are just mad about the joycon issues and don’t think the switch could last another 2-3 years without improvements. I find all of your comments to be very one sided so basically if you don’t like it don’t play it or buy it period, Nintendo doesn’t need you anyways. I also have 10 sets of joycons for all our switches in the house. I have only had to send off one set from the day one switch release that is it. Maybe if you took care of your product it would last longer first of all, second Nintendo fixes them for free and act replaces them not fixe them so if you have multiple sets there should be no issue at all.
All systems have their issues, Sonya batteries last an abysmal 2 hours if your lucky and their interface is slow and crap let alone their store and half the games they have themselves are nothing but rebases and they think all the games they have are gold and never have any real good sales. Nintendo has its issues as well and so does Xbox but Nintendo could literally go another 5 years+ probably without even updating the system just like playstation and has tmwith the 4 and Xbox with the One which both still sell very decent but not as much as the switch. The switch is portable and just like the D’s that is why people love it, that and the fact you cannot beat nintendos IP’s.
So please have an actual real argument as to why they wouldn’t be able to continue to sell the system as is for a few more years before stating such nonsense. Even pc still comes out with games able to be played with a 7 year old graphics card.

Re: Nintendo President Reiterates That Switch Is "Just In The Middle Of Its Lifecycle"

Dirty0814

@Mattock1987 bigger variety of software? Please explain. As for online improvements they continuously do that. As for the eshop it’s no worse than PlayStations honestly, I actually find PlayStations to be worse. Theirs, epics and steams then nintendos. As for software they have many ips on their system that are theirs and and are still working on others along with working with other companies like UBI to bring more to the system. The rest of them are up to the other companies to bring to the switch.

Re: Nintendo Drops Switch Hardware Estimate But Expects Increased Profits

Dirty0814

@johnvboy the switch uses a card that is not very much wanted by the crypto community so they have no chip shortage as of yet. It could come to hit them though yes, that is basically what their saying is they cannot guarantee so many units because of factors at play right now.
Also Xbox Series systems are possible to get as well. The only ones effected really bad it seems like are Sony.
Xbox has sold around 5.5 million units last year while Sony sold only 4.5. Nintendo meanwhile sold 19 million since March - Dec last year (so in 9 months). I would say they are hardly hurting yet.

Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music

Dirty0814

@victordamazio copy right infringement is theft. You are literally using something that is not yours wether you claim it is or not. When found to not be yours it is copyright infringement or patent infringement because you never had any right to use said item even if you never made any money off of it.
If you take my music and make a copy of it and then use it for a stream or background music you are are committing copyright infringement because you did not have the rights or permission to use it. That is theft, you literally used something that wasn’t yours to use in the way you used it. When you buy games or music etc you paid for it to use for personal use only not to stream it or let someone else copy it. When it comes to the digital world there is no borrowing or sharing unless the actual owner says so. If they do not and you do it anyway you are literally stealing their work.

Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music

Dirty0814

@somebread firs of all no one has any issue distributing their own stuff. If someone else does that is different, even if it is altered a little bit. A techno Metallica song is still under copyrights law as it is their music or lyrics. As far as Nintendo being on the same page they are exactly on that same page not one media company or group is different. Also as far as making copies of cds, books, games etc that is also against the law, yes people do it because it cannot be traced like streaming something you don’t or no longer own. Why do you think we have issues with getting retro games on consoles? It’s because someone owns the right to some part of it and will not agree to allow it to be remade or redistributed.
As for people not distributing the game it is not even an argument . Not monetizing or monetizing it is all the same, they are using a distributing stuff they do not own period. When I streamed left 4 dead and Motörhead played twitch cut it out because I do not have the rights to those songs. If I got rights then I could use it even though it was included in the game I was streaming.
What your talking about is a literal free market where people can just bypass the payment system and get everything for free. That is how companies and artists go broke. If you want it buy it or keep it for yourself. I feel sorry for anyone that tries to scam the system and gets caught. Nintendo and every other company or artist has every right to let or not let people use their stuff freely. Nintendo chooses to keep its stuff close and I don’t blame them at all.

Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music

Dirty0814

@somebread it is a good thing. It’s metallicas or whoever else’s music. They have the rights to it regardless of if you paid for it or not. When you buy a game, cd, book etc it is for your own personal use. You can sell it to someone else if it is physical but you lose the item and the right to use that item. Digital is the same thing but more regulated is all. It’s theirs so why should they be ok with you using it for your business (stream or video), and yes they are types of businesses without paying royalties or getting permission? I mean you want someone to ask permission before they borrow your stuff.

Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music

Dirty0814

It’s their music so their right to deny you the use of it just like every other band and game company. I support this actually. Let me just say they do allow you to stream and post gameplay videos of their games so this is literally a distribution issue where people are just posting the music alone with no other content with it. Also most bands and companies will not allow you to use their music as background music either unless you get the rights.
I actually give Nintendo props for protecting what’s theirs. If you want it buy it or freaking record it yourself off their games.

Re: Soapbox: Don't Cheer For Corporate Takeovers - It's Not A Game

Dirty0814

@Kilroy what are you talking about? All I see is literally indie companies rehashing the same crap over and over. How many metroidvanias are there now thousands and thousands and Only a handful are even worth playing. Same for fps’ers, rpgs etc etc. I die devs and companies are literally just saturating the market with crap. It is what keeps people from even trying out new companies.

Re: Ubisoft Valentine's Day Sale Offers Up To 75% Off Nintendo Switch Games

Dirty0814

@Poco_Lypso @CharlieGirl ? I care less how they treat their employees honestly. If it is that bad they can leave and go work elsewhere. Quite frankly this whole I’m being mistreated crap has gotten pretty lame, it is on the employee for staying and taking it instead of finding a different and probably better job. Your fault for staying not mine for buying the game you helped make. Ohhh and by me not buying that said game could also mean their job also. Pretty big thing to say don’t buy because of this and jeopardize the very peoples jobs you say you want to help out. These things get fixed by the employees leaving. They go and take their great ideas elsewhere and take the experience from these companies.

Re: Ubisoft: Players "Don't Get" What Makes NFTs So Beneficial

Dirty0814

@inenai @MarioBrickLayer first of all they wouldn’t be offering any extras for your game for the same price. Second if the seller offered extras that’s on them.
Ubi would charge fees for any transaction made, again I posted an example of how the whole blockchain transaction would work. You get charged fees for buying the crypto so your dollar now is worth less. Then the seller would most likely pay Ubi a fee to post on their marketplace just like anywhere else, G2A, CDKeys, eBay, Amazon just to name a few all do this. So then you lose that fee so say 5%, then you have to transfer the funds back to cash which again will be a fee. Now the whole point in them using their own crypto is so they can try and keep your money and you avoid paying the fee or you paying them regardless to take your money.
In the end both the seller and buyer pay fees and Ubi would walk away with about 15%+ of what any transaction would be and the seller would be out that money. So say your 5 bucks nets the seller only 4.25 and then there would be the transfer to bank account fee if that was wanted on top of that. Let’s not forget you will most likely only be able to sell your used digital games for GameStop trade in prices or eBay prices. eBay is much better for the seller but a 60 dollar game still wouldn’t get you but maybe 45-50 and at 50 bucks you’ll still only walk away with 42 and still have to pay to transfer to your bank but I will expect used digital games to not at all sell for the price of physical and if it is a store where you put it up for sell and Ubi resells it then you will get real screwed and get GameStop crap tradin prices.

Ubi wins, you lose regardless.

Re: Ubisoft: Players "Don't Get" What Makes NFTs So Beneficial

Dirty0814

@BenRK benefits Ubi. All crypto sales would allow them to charge fees. I laid out a example a couple comments up. It also is a way to try and keep the money on their platform, if it wasn’t the gaming community would come out with one crypto but as you see they are all making their own just like all the coins out there as it is. It’s nothing but a few scam for the creators which include these game companies.

Re: Ubisoft: Players "Don't Get" What Makes NFTs So Beneficial

Dirty0814

@inenai I have free checking and free savings with 2 banks actually so no they do not. Also my brokers charge a fraction of a fraction of a percent to handle my money. Cryptos charge anywhere from 2-10% fees and that’s not including Ethreum.
Yes I know all about crypto and how it works and what it is all about. I have made money off of it even but I will not ever say it’s a good thing because unless you hold onto it long term and I mean years you are literally in the hole gamers are not going to be investing i crypto but trying to use it to buy and sell their items from what they say here so it literally is a scam for Ubi to be able to charge fees. I even laid out an example above. So maybe it is you that should educate yourself some more.
Also banks that do charge fees those fees are way less than any crypto transaction. Crypto is also not regulated by the government which means you can be screwed on any transaction and have no way at all of contesting it, your account hacked and you could lose everything as well and nothing you can do.

Re: Ubisoft: Players "Don't Get" What Makes NFTs So Beneficial

Dirty0814

@CodyMKW He’s talking about digital games and items could be resold but the thing is with any crypto there is a fee to buy it then there is a fee for the transaction and most likely going to be a Ubisoft fee for selling it on their platform. Then there would be a fee for transferring your crypto to real cash. So basically you have $1 - 2%= .98¢ - 10% ( most likely Ubis fee) = .89¢ - 2% = .87 - 2% = .85. So basically after each transaction you would lose 15% of your monies in fees regardless.
Also note that if no fees are going to be associated with any transaction Ubi will probably just raise the price of their items to make up for that lost income.

Re: Ubisoft: Players "Don't Get" What Makes NFTs So Beneficial

Dirty0814

@inenai I stopped reading where you said most people would be investing in cryptos if they understood it.
All cryptos charge fees for transactions. That alone right there keeps me away period and will continue to do so.
Also game companies just want to make a buck from these fees. Their introducing their own crypto and charging fees to buy and sell with it and then another fee to transfer it to cash. They get your money and then they don’t want you to spend it elsewhere and to prevent that they are going to tax and fee you to death. NFT’s in gaming is a horrible idea and is only a scam for the companies. If it had any good for the consumers they would have implemented this long ago with their game store coins etc.
