For cry out loud, Ubisoft...
Could we get discount on Mario + Rabbids Season Pass like South Park did?
Starlink physical is 19.99 in the US at NewEgg (for the next 15 hrs)
Hopefully I'll be able to get Starlink and Mario Rabbids. Good deals.
Might actually get star link
It would be nice if we got these kinds of discounts in NA, you know like where those publishers are based. Ubisoft is literally a 14 hour drive from me or an hour 1.5 hour flight.
Starlink is £17.99 in Argos!!!!
@Jokerwolf Ubisoft is a french company. And games have been cheaper in NA compared to Europe since the dawn of time.
@Skegg It is a Canadian company, but it is actually mostly English now, at least the people who work there are.
I just mean sales in general we get much less of here and it sucks, I see far more in Europe on average. Games here are super expensive now after taxes new games come up to 91$.
Came in looking for Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong DLC discount sad face
@Wesker You're not alone. I was hoping to get 50% on the Season pass.
@Jokerwolf first paragraph on wikipedia:
Ubisoft Entertainment SA (/ˈjuːbisɒft/;[4] French: [ybisɔft]; formerly Ubi Soft Entertainment SA) is a French video game company headquartered in Montreuil, France, with several development studios across the world
Time to buy Mario + Rabbids, I guess.
Since buying a 128GB SD card, I'm starting to appreciate all the benefits of digital. For one, it's almost twice as pricey: 1099 roubles digital vs. 1790 for physical here in Russia (that's with these current discounts). Plus, no plastic wasted on meaningless cases and hence, a greener planet!
@Wawawaaaario I didnt see the season pass for South Park discounted, must be only Europe and not NA. Only the gold version. I have a physical I got on sale during holidays but at this point the south park DLC is more money than buying the gold edition on eshop.
@Medic_alert Like the majority of their games are developed here, none of the other places compare to the Montreal Studio.
@Medic_alert Viva la France!
Rayman was $6 Canadian on xbox the other day.
Unfortunately there is nothing for me! I will get around to playing Starlink at some point, but since it keeps going on a heavy discount quite often I don't feel the need to buy it now.
@sandman89 yeah me too the game interests me but because people say that the maine game is kinda short I haven't buy it yet...
@MushHill_Act1-1 lol wtf XD
Starlink is a lovely game. Got it on the last sale and really enjoyed it.
There's a sale on the US eShop too, but it doesn't include the South Park DLC unfortunately
@IceClimbers It strangely doesn't have Mario + Rabbids base game on sale. Though I guess the bundled edition under $30 is not a bad deal
@Wawawaaaario a really great sale and someone still finds something to complain about smh
For any doubters about Mario + Rabbids... it's as fun as Advance Wars and has the humor and charm of the Mario RPG series. It's that damn good. At this price, if you like any of the above, you really should buy it.
(NOTE: even if you hate the Rabbids, the more dignified and likable Mushroom Kingdom characters completely balance them out)
Good that the Switch is region free. Sadly, I rarely buy digital for new games. The only exception was Ocarina of Time 3D because when I was looking for it months ago, I couldn't find it in any store close to me.
@Jokerwolf Yeah, still a european/french company. the headquarter is in france.
you could also say, nintendo is an american company or sega is an english one, because they all have studios all across the globe but they aren't ;D
but ubisoft was foundet in france and still operates mainly from there. ubisoft montreal is "just" a division like EA Canada or EA Germany https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft
@Jokerwolf we have the same discounts in NA- I actually noticed Valiant Hearts and Child of light were actually 50% off. I was going to pick them up and Transistor (30% off) since they’ve been on my wish list for awhile.
@Mamabear A lot of times they are exclusive discounts to one region or the other, I have checked multiple times and seen sales that are only in one place , but sometimes it is a worldwide one.
Mario v Rabbids and Rayman Legends are good buys for anyone who hasn’t played them. Rayman looks great on the Switch screen. For anyone looking for something a bit different Valiant Hearts is a terrific game (disclaimer-assuming it runs well on Switch, I played it on PS4).
@MisterDevil it's really not that great starlink huge let down.unless you really want it.you won't miss out far better games out there 👍👍
@sixrings
I tried so hard not to mention the $5 Ubisoft games on Xbox, but you broke the seal so....
Some of these games be like five bones on xbone, y’all. 😁
Probably gonna grab South Park SoT for $15.
Is the sale ending on the same day in the US?
@eRaz0r That's especially true for Nintendo of America. There's no question who wears the pants in that relationship. One of Sega's problems in the 90's was their American division was pretty powerful within the company and Sega of America and Sega of Japan ended up essentially in a tug of war. That lack of cooperation is how disasters like the 32X and no Sonic on the Saturn happened.
The sale ends on 13th... And I don't get my pay until 14th. A hidden blessing or a curse?
@Rodan2000 Yeah but it has MUCH less than the now £20.49 Digital (unless your care about the plastic - I don't). Look at the difference in the DLC you get – the Starter pack really is that – you get 2 add on weapons as opposed to about 9. Same scenario for Pilots and Crafts.
@brunojenso I didn’t know that, I keep debating wether to buy it or not.....it’s a bit different to the Wii U days when there was so little choice, now there’s so much choice it’s tough deciding what to spend my money on!!!
@Rodan2000 Yep - I hear you. Everyone has a backlog of amazing games now. That never happened in the SNES days – you had like 6 incredible games that and you and your mates played to death for years to come. Crazy times, both good and bad.
@brunojenso agreed! I remember the SNES days well, great times!
@ryobi85 sure? I just heard that it is kinda small but not that bad... sad well then I shall keep on waiting for a deep space multiworld game...
@Jokerwolf
Ubisoft is a French company but we do have studios in Montréal, Quebec city and Saguenay.
@MisterDevil you should get toe jam and earl to cheer up.😅😅😅it's really cool am just playing it now.it's in space 👍👍
@munstahunta True, I just know anytime anyone mentions Ubisoft most people assume the Montreal studio who are in NA.
