@Shellcore I agree that is not the best wording but it is how it is. Capcom’s hardly alone in that.
If you’re questioning the info I provided instead, dunno what to tell you if not that Google is your friend and you can verify it yourself.
This are “Boost me up” marketing PRs, if Capcom had shipped+sold NINE MILLION COPIES (physical+digital) believe me that they’d shout it from the top of Mount Fuji 😂
@Lord we don’t know yet for Rise, and unless Capcom will state it (unlikely) we won’t know till the fiscal year results. Generally physical has been matched or surpassed by digital for many publishers like Ubisoft and EA (respectively 65/35 and 55/45 in favour of digital iirc) but also Sony (55/45), Nintendo doesn’t share digital numbers but we know for some titles (like ACNH) the split was in digital favour but generally it seems their games’ split is estimated at about 65/35 in physical’s favour.
The Twitter you saw was Stealth making an axx out of himself, he was just going by ComG (a small retail stores chain) preorders points. It could very well have sold anything from 1.5 to 2.4 M or more but we don’t know yet, it’s just guessing and made up numbers. Famitsu’s weekly ain’t out yet, we’ll have resl numbers soonish
It does include digital. As always with Capcom. Yes, World’s also included digital (and back then they still specified it in the pr, they don’t anymore and frankly it wouldn’t make sense in a post-pandemic world). For comparison, FF7 Remake shipped 3.5M in its first 3 days, so that gives an idea of how good this sales are).
I just want to say that this hasn’t aged well BUT it the prequel to probably the GREATEST BEAT ‘EM UP of all time (should be in any fan’s of the genre top5) which is CRIME FIGHTERS 2 aka best known as: VENDETTA.
Flag gates are open, only a question of time ‘till that one is released. Also, PSA reminder that y’all should get ACA SUNSET RIDERS while you’re at it... Konami were gods in the ‘90s
You guys forgot ACA CITY CONNECTION which is not only the best emu wrapper Hamster has released so far (fixed Caravan mode!) but a great arcade classic. We're going to play it on the next NINTENDOLIFE ARCADE CHALLENGE
If you haven’t played INSIDE and love cinematic puzzle-platformer like LIMBO (also good) or ANOTHER WORLD and FLASHBACK back in the day, you totally should. IMO it’s the pinnacle of the genre.
Hey you know what, I told myself, second game is out so maybe it's time to get the first game! Let's head over to Nintendolife
...NOTHING. Totally worthless. You'd think the reviewer didn't even play the Switch version since it doesn't mention A WORD on the port... framerate? Loading times? Portable mode concessions? Nope. Well, surely it'll mention the resolution?!
NOPE. NOTHING. Why even bother? Hell of a worthless review, game's been out for years already, even freaking Appstore reviews are more helpful than some NL stuff. Meh, very disappointed.
@Shiryu thanks for the reply mate! It’d be great to have all this info laid out for every retro review, website-wide! Even a little section/paragraph if it’s considered too technical for the general NL audience (although I’d say the audience for these releases is mostly made of adult retrogamers. Again, thanks!
I always skip Johnny Turbo’s Data East releases and it’s a pity because I’d love to buy them all but blurry and stretched image (going by eShop’s screens and Nintendolife’s screenshots) ain’t my thing and I’m not wasting money like that... I’m willing to give a pass to no dip-switches but not AR/blurred images. Btw, can you at least play local co-op with just the joycons? Missing online leaderboards sucks too... bought many retro games I was merely interested in and just because of the inclusion of online leaderboards! Ugh! 😑

@Shiryu the review only mentions that the emulation is not up to par with ACA releases, but I’d like to know if you can play with the correct aspect ratio and what filters are there? I only know there’s no “raw pixels”/no filters option... which is even worse than Hamster and Zerodiv refusing to include a scanlines option couple with no blur filter. Thanks to anyone who can help out with proper info
Is it true there’s no training available? Seems absurd if true, you really need to be able to practice previously beaten levels. This is the only thing holding me back, can you guys confirm or deny? Doesn’t mention anything about Practice Mode in the review.
Good job on the review mate, just a word of advice: the "conclusion" section isn't worded correctly, you'd better edit that. For the sentence to make sense you should switch (hehe) "portable aspect blabla" at the beginning for "all the content blablabla" at the end. It'd still be weirdly worded (better to rewrite it, imo) but at least it would make sense.
Anybody bought the PAL version could please tell me how it is? Slow, fatty characters/black bordered or dare I dream at least 50Hz opimised? I'm not biting if it's the former but I've always wanted to play this game in 3-way multiplayer since I was a kid... care to answer?
I still don't get why VC-Reviews doesn't state how the PAL version is in their reviews, as it is it's almost worthless since the site doesn't stand on its own, I always have to make further researches to see if the game it's really worth my money.

@TreonsRealm @Lord
As I said above, numbers include digital already (for both Rise and World).
NL should edit the article and specify it to avoid confusion honestly

Rise shipped basically the same as PS4 MHWorld.

Re: Sounds Like Bandai Namco Really Is Working on Metroid Prime 4
Singapore is doing RR (but it's not called 8 as far as I know). Japan is doing MP4 with some help from Singapore assets-wise.
@Terrible_Majesty
Visceral Games has been shut down months ago.
