Re: Anniversary: Paper Mario First Unfolded On N64 25 Years Ago

Paper Mario remains my favourite in the series and I’d love a remake someday. I’m in the minority with TTYD, I found it quite boring at the time with far too much backtracking, but maybe the remake has fixed that. It’s on my to-do pile anyhow. I actually really enjoyed Origami King and Color Splash despite their faults. I hope CS gets a remake, but with a fair bit of tweaking to the card battling and especially the Thing cards and boss fights. The music in CS is sublime too btw - Cherry Lake is possibly my favourite in the whole series.

Re: Poll: One Year After The DLC, Are You Still Playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

I gave up on building up my island a while back. I’m disappointed there’s still so much content missing from older games, like proper shops and facilities to build, or NPCs to meet. I do still love the clothing design feature and that’s the only reason I play now - making football kit designs is a fun creative outlet for me. (Search GameTropolis on YT if anyone wants to see them!)

Re: Nintendo Sneakily Filed A New Controller Patent Last Year

There were a couple of interesting ones filed a year or so before the Switch came out that looked pretty cool - a mouse-scroll type shoulder button with digital click, and a stylus with built in rumble to provide haptic feedback. I thought both would have been nifty additions in the Switch.

@ModdedInkling You’re thinking of Trademarks, which are different to Licenses. Patents cover the design and architecture of hardware, or unique gameplay systems. Trademarks cover tangible commercial properties like brand names, logos, colours, sounds etc. A License is an agreement with a third-party to use their property, which in this case is archive footage, probably used in a cut-scene.
