@Drac_Mazoku I didn't realise this! I probably only got half-way through New Game+ for this review, but that's definitely disappointing to hear. Glad to see that it's being worked on.
@AlexSora89 I mused over making it "Player beware, you're in for despair" but.... My tagine is familiar yet ultimately underwhelming and disappointing. It could have been more - a bit like the game itself. SO META
@Serelynn That's sweet! I actually had the battery completely die on my DS Lite years back, but luckily it was right around the time the 3DS was about to launch so it was a brief mourning period.
@SH007ME It uses 3D, but nothing too noteworthy. Most 3DS games do at a basic level at least. There are just over 30 levels and the music is generic rock I guess, so about as inspired as the visuals
@Miles_Edgeworth The story is fairly simple overall, and there aren't too many twists or complications along the way. It's a fun ride, but definitely nothing too fresh. The writing is very strong though, so the characters make it entertaining!
@Lord If you choose to turn gyro controls off, the camera view is displayed on the TV screen instead of the GamePad and you control with the R-Stick. It's a handy alternative scheme to have.
It's crazy how Alex and I took the same lesson, but ended up with quite different results, stylistically. Mine's a bit boxier, bit sharper, because it's simply how I wanted it to look while I was going through each step. Love how you're given the freedom to develop your own creative style.
@Rasgar This is a very good point, and honestly not one that I picked up on when writing the article here. There's a chance it could be a Wii U port with very low priority, if the teaser refers to stretch goals as you say. I took it to mean the castle itself in-game.
You could be right though, so I suppose we'll wait and see with crossed fingers!
@indienapolis There definitely was, I believe labelled as a "Series 2" sort of scenario. I haven't heard anything about that lately, and they haven't put forward any information themselves, unfortunately. We'll be sure to keep you updated if anything comes to light!
@SilentHunter382 I think I'd be a worse hairdresser than ever having played this game. I'd just stare in disgust at the customer in front of me and attempt to shave off as much as possible, colouring the rest in bright purple.
@SheldonRandoms AMAZING! Love your avatar too, Ristar is a classic.
So excited for this, and totally impressed by how overwhelmingly different it looks! Steamworld: Dig was fantastic, but something completely new is infinitely more exciting than a direct sequel.
This is true, but its a slim compromise overall. I went through quite a few battles outright ignoring them to test their usefulness, and it ended up feeling like they were a vague placebo effect.
You're right though, it is something. Thanks for filling in the gap, I appreciate that its at least an extra layer of strategy.
@Prof_Clayton On the day of release the gamepad display wasn't working too well, even on track editor - It just displayed black. So for a half hour I thought it was an actual oversight and this score was originally a lot lower, haha.
@WaveBoy If you play it legit and put effort into making it through without a single save state, this game definitely can last quite a few hours. My count was a straight run using save states and assuming some familiarity with the levels, so really for most of the hardcore it's a lengthy challenge and will test dem skillz.
@Taceus @luke88 @lippe_flamarion @MeddlingIdiot @EaZy_T Thanks very much, guys! Glad I can spread the word about a real gem on the eshop!
@Prof_Clayton I very nearly put in mention of those guys, so I can see why you're surprised. My thinking was to put across the overall mood and setting as a priority , so although they're a regular feature they get a little lost in the shuffle of all the other insanity in my opinion. Perhaps a mention would have been worthwhile though, I can see where you're coming from.
@rjejr I believe Mobot are only in charge of porting the game to Wii U, so they may not have it listed as one of their own titles. Crescent Moon Games developed the iOS version.
The site really wouldn't be be the achievement it is without Tom's constant input! Been an absolute joy working together, and this is enormously deserved. Congrats!
This is really spectacular, Majoras Mask continues to be an overwhelming concept for a story and it's brought all the more to life with fan projects like this. Another one I want to point out is by Theophany, who remixed a large chunk of the game's soundtrack into an album that released in 2012; the day the world 'ended'. Fans of this track should love it, so here's the link!
Hope everyone jumps on board with this idea, as there really is nothing quite like going on the hunt with a full crew of allies. Just got into the series myself very recently, so I hope to make an appearance at some point during the night! It's going to be ridiculously fun.

Actually the original Colosseum was first to introduce Wes and his adventure mode! XD; Gale of Darkness was a sequel to it

It's a really fun little feature. Walking around a gallery of your art in first-person is surprisingly calming...in a vain sort of way. Haha

Really hope this ends up on Wii U. Absolutely loved World of Goo and Little Inferno.

@ghasfarost Same-console multiplayer, and you literally just pass the same gamepad from player to player. It's basic but it works well!
