@Dark_Isatari there are PLENTY of people out there still willing to make and raise kids, so banging on about how it's "irresponsible" is just nonsense.
Parenthood will do sweet fanny adams for one's personal growth if one never wanted to be a parent in the first place. People becoming parents out of a sense of "duty" is part of the problem, as they will often end up only being parents in the literal sense of the word, as opposed to actually encompassing everything parents should be.
Go ahead, think of my comments as judgmental. I don't care. To judge is to be human. Your notion of "pragmatic justification" is pretty much all in your head and has not been supported by any evidence.
@Dark_Isatari saying that it leads to a loss of humanity isn't condescending or arrogant to you? He's literally implying that foregoing parenthood somehow makes you "less" human, which is an INCREDIBLY myopic and heteronormative thing to say. He's also spouting this crap as if it's scientific fact, instead of his most likely very poorly informed (and patriarchal) opinion.
@Dark_Isatari did you actually see his comment in context? He said that the decision to forgo parenthood leads to a loss of humanity. Now THAT sounds pretty condescending AND narrow minded to me.
@Ralizah So because LGPE didn't do it right, that means they shouldn't attempt it in future entries? Also, why can't there be an element of surprise in coming across them in the field? Wouldn't it be cool and more immersive to see Pokemon in different locales acting out their instinctive behaviours and interacting with other Pokemon, as opposed to just popping up in random battles or sitting around in people's houses?
Meh. Nintendo has some damn nerve locking these behind a subscription as opposed to oh, I don't know, actually bringing the damn Virtual Console back?! They've been doing so well with the Switch, why do they have to go and f*** up now?
Deservedly modest, considering the idiocy of Nintendo leaving out online sharing and restricting downloadable courses to only ones that are recommended.
Love: The town music, Trials, Alola, Professor Kukui, dashing around on Tauros
Meh: Only being able to use Ash-Greninja
Dislike: No manual saving, no way to buy items, some very pixelated textures and jaggy edges
Meh, Miiverse on 3DS is so slow and clunky that it's not a big loss. Now if battling and trading were not possible on the OG 3DS for Sun and Moon, that'd be a different story.
@Bass_X0 Ah, I see.. A pity. Played and loved Hotel Dusk and got kinda attached to the character.. Hopefully not-Kyle is a compelling character in his own right.
@AlexSora89 I can only hope that they have this stuff sorted out for the NX - who knows, maybe they're preparing a line up of VC stuff for the March launch (I can dream right?)...
@AlexSora89 Ja I mean, why exactly are there no GBA games even on the New 3DS VC, when the console can apparently handle them to Nintendo's standards? They say they want to support the 3DS, but they need a bit more fire in their support of it!
So, for what it's worth, my two cents on what Nintendo needs to do to be more successful:
1. Hype the heck out of the NX at some point this year 2. Pump out a few more Wii U titles (even if they're HD ports!) 3. Continue giving the 3DS more support into 2017 and maybe beyond 4. Launch NX right out of the gate with franchise entries that people want (new Metroid maybe) 5. Lower the Wii U and 3DS's prices slightly this year
@earthboundlink Thing is, I have no problem with what some may call "gimmicks" introduced by Nintendo. I just don't always like how those are implemented, e.g. having to replace the batteries in the Wii Remote or purchase rechargeable ones. Still, I'd like to see Nintendo improve and better implement the accessories and technologies they introduce. What they often seem to do is introduce a new control method/technology, and then leave it to stagnate in their future consoles, in favour of introducing another new control method/technology. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but I quite liked motion controls and gyroscopic controls - they just need better implementation.
I don't mind Miitomo and similar apps. I won't be happy if Nintendo neglects more "traditional" games in favour of pursuing the mobile market, though.
@Vandy Different people have different desires and tastes. What a shock. For me, I love my 2DS and there are so many awesome games for it, especially RPGs. The Wii U, on the other hand, doesn't have that much that appeals to me.
@earthboundlink Well, for me, price DOES matter to some degree. I mean, if the Wii U's price was slashed to half/two-thirds of what it currently is, it would be far more appealing.
The trailer was kind of underwhelming for me. I can live with and sort of understand the move to action adventure, although I would have preferred it if they kept more of the RPG elements. I loved how everything seems to be made out of paper and cardboard. I just hope there won't be an overabundance of generic-looking Toads in the final game.
Do you guys think playing Bravely Default is at all important/beneficial to enjoying Bravely Second? (For example, are there any carry-over bonuses from the first game?)

@Goat_FromBOTW An uncomplicated, simplistic lifestyle sounds good to me. shrug Weird thing to get all judgey over.

@Goat_FromBOTW wait, so you think there's something wrong with people who don't want the responsibility of kids? WTF?

Nice! The Worms games on PC were a hoot back in the day.

@memoryman3 Welp.. That's enough Internet for today.
Re: Dragon Quest XI Sold Over 2 Million Copies in Two Days in Japan
Pleeeaaase localise the 3DS version S-E! I don't have the funds for a Switch or PS4. A PC port would go down a treat too.
Re: My Nintendo Updates with New Kirby and Star Fox Rewards
@OdnetninAges They did offer that for a little while e.g. Super Mario Land for 50 coins. Most of the other games on offer were kind of rubbish though.
Re: My Nintendo Updates with New Kirby and Star Fox Rewards
Sigh.. For once I wish I had more Gold Points, if only for the Kirby theme
Re: Editorial: Nintendo Switch is About Colour, Fun and Sharing Games, For Those Unsure of Its Purpose

The stupid censorship of the costumes annoys me but it's definitely not a dealbreaker. Will definitely pick this up at some point.

Hngggh, want this! Hopefully will get some cash in before the 27th.. Anyone know why they didn't just use Kyle Hyde for this game?
Re: Fans Create Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Patch Which Uncensors Western Censorship
@CharlieSmile Why should it be afforded any respect? Those standards are outdated and often arbitrary in any case.

@Syrek24 So basically, you're just here to troll people who are against this Nintendo and Atlus' idiotic "localisation"?

This looks so cute and fun! Really tempted to add it to my backlog now.

@luke88 It seems like we'll at least be able to reuse spent cards by filling them up with paint, so that aspect is better than I hoped.
