@Rambler So just because you're not personally interested in the tech side, you have to sh*t talk people who are? You know awards shows like the Grammys and Oscars have multiple categories about these technical aspects, right? Every part of what goes into a game or movie is important, whether you care about it or not.
@Rambler I gotta get me a job at DF then, if they can afford luxuries like that!
I don't know what you think you're saying here, but you're onto nothing. This is what DF does. They're not setting out to do a full video game review, their aim is exactly what they reported - the technical side. From their website:
What is Digital Foundry?
Founded in 2004, Digital Foundry specialises in covering the technology behind games – from console platforms to PC and beyond. Through video analysis and in-depth articles, we touch on everything from graphics comparisons, hardware reviews, PC benchmarking, plus interviews with the developers behind the games themselves.
This is apparently a hot take after reading these comments, but... A game being influential doesn't make it good. Just because a game changed the course of gaming history doesn't mean it's still as good in retrospect. Like, half the music I listen to allegedly wouldn't exist without The Ramones, but that doesn't make me like The Ramones.
Why are real players invading this franchise? No need for that, imo. I'm hoping EA keeps their monetization plans out of this one as well. None of that stops me from buying this day 1 though!
Oh man, and here I was proud of my 21,296. My fourth guess was the only one below 4000, but my first three were incredible, with 4837, 4981, and 5000 points on those three guesses. Third guess was under 30 Hm (whatever Hm are) away!
@iNintendo The smaller updates like these (and there have been SO many, it's pretty ridiculous actually) have all been free. The paid updates have usually had a couple new biomes and some more extras. And even then they're only five bucks each, even this huge Castlevania one.
Almost hard to believe it's finally here. Hope the hype hasn't entirely died in the meantime since the delay as this really seems like a lovingly made remake. I'm looking forward to playing it!
Technically I haven't mentioned Risk of Rain 2 on this site today. Buuuuut it's still better on PC, at least for some of the survivors. Huntress, one of the ones that's available from the jump, is great for stick aiming.
Risk of Rain Returns still gonna be great on console as a 2D platform based game.
@TheNumbr24 I know what you said. You're still off. Pratt's big breakout role was Andy Dwyer in Parks and Rec, and he started showing up everywhere after that show got popular. Yes, he was good in the Lego Movie, but that is not what he's getting his major roles for. It's why he got the Mario movie, probably, but I promise you they didn't cast Pratt in Jurassic World because he sang Everything is Awesome. He even showed up as Andy Dwyer to play it on a BBC interview. https://www.billboard.com/culture/tv-film/chris-pratt-covers-everything-is-awesome-lego-movie-watch-8497107/
@Cashews I don't follow TMNT either, but Seth Rogen isn't the point. TMNT cast a bunch of unknowns as their lead roles. All four of the turtles are played by relative unknowns, and the rest of the movie has stars cast. They know TMNT is a big enough name that they didn't have to cast stars in the lead role. Mario is a WAY bigger name, and could've done the same.
@TheNumbr24 LMAO this is not even close to true. You think they cast Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy, then filmed and edited everything, within the five months between those two movies' releases? No, his big break was Parks and Recreation.
@Cashews What? Rogen voices an enemy. Not my point at all. The turtles are voiced by relatively unknown young actors, and the star power was filled through the rest of the roles.
@TheBigBlue I am just as hyped to meet Ganondorf as I am to stick an apple on the end of my sword and see if the Bokoblins will eat it when I swing the sword at them. This is going to be so damn fun
@DanElectrode I mean, it's a trailer. It's there to show off the spectacle to draw people in. I'm sure that moment to moment in game won't be that crazy.
@Bolt_Strike Marketing? Not sure what the confusion is. There doesn't have to be a big reveal. There was a Nintendo booth at a music festival I went to in 2019. You could walk in and play Mario Kart 8 with people. They do this kind of thing all the time.
@Yomerodes Yeah, all covering the same introductory fifteen minutes of gameplay. We didn't know what the story was then either. And why do people even WANT to know the story of a game before starting it? It's very weird to me. Can't anything be a surprise?
@AtlanteanMan Yeah, I remember the Breath of the Wild Direct- holds finger to ear -oh wait, I'm getting new info now. What's that? Breath of the Wild never got a Direct, just trailers? AND we didn't get plot details until the final trailer? Huh.
I absolutely cannot wait to get this game with its reused assets, barren wasteland of a world, bad dungeons, fragile weapons, betrayal of beloved Zelda formulas, and whatever other problems everyone else has with it, into my hands. Bring it on. 100+ hours of my life are ready to be poured in.
What's happening at Nintendo Live 2023?
There aren't many precise details to go off at the moment Which games will be there?
We're not too sure exactly Will I have to pay to attend Nintendo Live 2022?
Probably, yes, though we don't have any information Will any of the events be streamed online?
Possibly! Can we expect a Nintendo Direct at the same time?
Who knows! Will there be new games announced at Nintendo Live 2023?
It's impossible to say
I'm sure these are going to be updated as information is revealed, but right now it's pretty silly looking.

@PessitheMystic I had the exact opposite reaction. I thought it was nice to see a list for once that doesn't overly rely on nostalgic picks.

Re: Super Mega Baseball 4 Steps Up To The Plate On Switch Next Month
@Spoony_Tech It's going to be $49.99, so... If you don't count tax it's technically below your threshold 🥴
Or $59.99 for the Ballpark Edition which includes... wait, that can't be right, right?? uh, three extra stadiums. Oh, EA.
