I got this one ps4, it’s pretty good. A bit easier than enter the Gungeon but still pretty hard. It’s not the deepest as far as roguelite elements go, there are different weapons and upgrades but they don’t change the gameplay up as much as In some games, neither do the level layouts. It’s overall pretty straight forward but solid.
@wazlon yeah it really does, my favorites are the Psyiko games which to be fair are from 10 years later but still this doesn’t look on par with the 80’s era games from Arcade archives.
@Mamabear the touch controls are a lot better for using the calculator. In the few hours I’ve played I feel fairly used to it. The game is cute and fun but there’s no getting around the awkwardness.
@AJ81 it’s similar in concept and aesthetic to destiny but the actual gameplay feels quite a bit different. Destiny’s shooting feels better but Warframe has bad ass acrobatics.
if I’m trying to be positive about the game the atmosphere is really good in the beginning but that sort of fizzles by the end. Representation can lead to things being overrated even if is not especially well done.
This ties into the post a few days ago about numbered scores, does it really make sense to compare one game to another that’s 4x the price or score all games on one scale since fun is al that matters.
That said I enjoyed Revenant saga pretty well, while the story was a little cheesy all the lies and secrets between the main characters was entertaining.
@ReaderRagfish that’s a valid point, games in very niche genres can often be not that fun to people who don’t typically play those games when in reality they are very well done.
I don’t hate number scores but the system has flaws. Should a $10 game made by one developer be judged on the same scale as a $60+ game made by fifty people.
@fluggy as someone who really enjoys Roguelites I find never knowing what to expect comibined with making the best out of what the game gives you exciting. Its not about winning for me it’s about the challenge. In a way it’s analogues to life, death is the only certainty.

Re: Nindie Round Up: Clock Simulator, Neko Navy, Momodora, Stellar Interface And Hive Jump
Momodora might be my favorite Metroidvania. The art is great and are the bosses.
Re: Roguelike Dungeon Crawler Tangledeep Launches On Switch eShop This Month
I could use some more roguelikes, only one on I have on switch so far is Yodanji.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 19th)
@Fake-E-Lee I may have to grab Gunman Clive, been seeing nothing but good about it. Also my tastes seem to line up pretty close to yours.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 19th)
Binding of Issac as always along with some Cave Blazers. On the Xbox I’ve been into Livelock lately.
Re: Video: Ghostbusting Twin-Stick Shooter Dead End Job Gets New Musical Trailer
Not a fan of the art style at all, if a game is good enough I can get past it like with BOI.

Re: Cat-Themed Metroidvania Adventure Hunter's Legacy Claws Its Way Onto The Switch eShop Next Month
Played it on ps4, it’s okay but nothing special. Feels a bit cheap and under polished.
Re: It Looks Like An (Unofficial) Game Boy Advance Mini Is On The Way, But It Plays NES Games
my Bootleg NES classic was worth it for the humor value alone. 7 grandad and Mario 10 are hilarious.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 17th)
Binding of Issac as usual and Phantom Breaker overdrive, on Pc path of exile.
Re: Rock Boshers DX: Director's Cut Brings "Exceedingly Retro" Arcade Gameplay To Switch Next Month
I have so many of the top down shooting games but this does look pretty fun. The early pc style graphics have a certain charm for me.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 10th)
@Mamabear the touch controls are a lot better for using the calculator. In the few hours I’ve played I feel fairly used to it. The game is cute and fun but there’s no getting around the awkwardness.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 10th)
Just grabbed a physical copy of penny punching princess. So far it’s fun despite being a little fiddly with its use of touchscreen mid battle.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 3rd)
@UmbrageHill Axiom Verge is great, haven’t beat it yet though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 3rd)
My gaming pc arrived today so I’ll be getting that all setup today. Switch wise I’ll be playing Binding of Issac.
Re: Crashlands Is Out On The Switch eShop Next Week, Includes Co-Op Survival Fun
If the price is right I might double dip. Played a bit on IPad but the controls would be so much better on switch.
Re: Monster Energy Supercross Is Getting A Sequel, And It'll Be Speeding Onto Switch Early Next Year
Monster is my favorite energy drink but they can stick to beverages
Re: Zen Studios Under Fire For Censorship In Pinball FX3, Explains It Was To Keep Game "Family-Friendly"
If a company believes they would see highest profits by censoring content I think it’s capitalism to blame.
Re: Zerodiv Bringing Sengoku Cannon To Switch eShop Next Week
For me the more shmups the better. Got two of the psykio ones so far.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 6th)
@Fake-E-Lee demon crystal looked pretty interesting to me as well. Can’t have enough twin stick shooters.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 6th)
Playing Binding of Issac and Arena of Valor. Issac is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Re: German Ratings Board Suggests That Trine 3: The Artifacts Of Power Is Headed To Switch
The Trine series is in my backlog, picked it up as they are always on sale but never got around to them.
Re: '90s Classic Space Shooter Descent Is Getting A Reboot, Now Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
A blast from the past I didn’t think I’d see.
Re: Epic Says Jiggle Physics Included In Latest Fortnite Update Were "Unintended"
This just looks bad and I could see accidental but also not worth being upset by.
Re: Random: Bowsette Is Now A Thing Thanks To A Near-Endless Supply Of Nintendo Fan Art
Perfect character for cos play, thick and bad ass is a winning combo for me.
Re: Retro Side-Scrolling Platformer MagiCat Is Clawing Its Way To Switch Today
This actually looks surprisingly decent
Re: Space-Shooter Warframe Launches For Switch On 20th November
@AJ81 it’s similar in concept and aesthetic to destiny but the actual gameplay feels quite a bit different. Destiny’s shooting feels better but Warframe has bad ass acrobatics.
Re: High-Speed Hack And Slash Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae Slices Up Switch Next Week
@LightBeam if that’s the case it sounds like Croixler Sigma, which I found pretty fun when I wanted something light and mindless.
Re: Nicalis Publishing "Infinitely Replayable" South Korean Side-Scroller Dungreed On Nintendo Switch
Looks a bit like Rogue Legacy.
Re: High-Speed Hack And Slash Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae Slices Up Switch Next Week
I’m interested for sure i like this type of game. I’d really like a proper Senran Karuga game instead of the glorified tech demo they released.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 8th)
Paladins is my main online game. I also picked up Hyper Sentential and Tumbleseed on sale.
Re: Gone Home Celebrates Fifth Anniversary With Physical Release On Nintendo Switch
@frabbit I wasn’t a big of gone home but Everybody’s gone to the rapture was pretty damn intriguing.

Re: Take Down Dinosaurs And Zombies On The Go In Time Carnage, A Wave Shooter Coming To Switch
I enjoy wave based shooters like Killing Floor, even Assault gunner is alright but not a game you stand still.

Re: Moonfall Ultimate - A Failed Attempt To Update Sega's Golden Axe For The Modern Age
This one had looked interesting to me but even most simple beat em ups have more than one attack button.
Re: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Owltimate Edition Arrives On Switch This Month
It’s a good game but for 30$ there’s too many other good platformers for less. I’d recommend it if it was 20$ or less.
Re: Video: 13 Nintendo Switch Games You Should Look Out For In September
Of the list Hyper Light Drifter is the one I’m interested in, never got around to playing it yet.
Re: Review: Blade Strangers (Switch)
While I like the more complex fighters they simply don’t translate well to the joy cons, the simple inputs work better.
Re: Review: Kero Blaster (Switch eShop)
Sounds like my kind of game
Re: Bullet-Hell Shoot ‘Em Up Shikhondo - Soul Eater Blasts Onto Switch Next Week
This one looks great, love the art style.
Re: New Video For SNK Heroines Promotes Game As Accessible Fighter
Simpler inputs would work better on the joycons anyways and depth doesn’t only come complex commands.
Re: Rumour: Leak Signals Blizzard's Diablo 3 Will Unleash Hell On Switch This Year
Can’t rationalize a double dip but this is one of the main genres I’ve felt the switch was missing.
Re: Bubble Bobble-Inspired Retro Platformer Robbotto Arrives On Switch Next Week
I might consider this one to play with the kids, looks simple and cute.
Re: Haunted Dungeons: Hyakki Castle Brings Real-Time Dungeon Crawling To Switch This Month
