I’d love another 2d Zelda game, but I would want it in 8-bit style, like Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, with some metroidvania-like traversal.
I’m not too big a fan of the chibi style used in the new top-down games, so I’d like a new art style. Maybe something darker, yet still reminiscent of Zelda2.
I’ve been wanting a stylized alarm clock, so this works for me. Considering it has a screen, official Nintendo theming, and motion detection, sounds about the right price.
That’s great! There are so many games on PS/XBO that aren’t compatible with last-gen, yet some are remasters of games from the late 90s. Like the MGS collection isn’t available for PS4/XOne, but I could get them on Switch.
Being able to upgrade/downgrade graphics to have it work on a system, was a big deal this gen. And yet, Sony/MS are pretending like remasters of 90s games can’t scale down to work on a PS4/XOne.
Would love to see his team take a shot at another game. Devil’s Third had its problems, but it was fun and the online had no business being as entertaining as it was.
I plugged my Dreamcast in a few months ago just to play the first one, such a good franchise! Absolutely ready to pick up the remaster, what great news!
Sony is tumbling around the gaming market with no clue about what they should be doing. That’s crazy to me.
Price hiking, going the “Pro” mid-gen route again, making that god awful expensive battle royale that they completely shut down. They’re confused about their role and flailing wildly.
Simply put, those are bad sales numbers all-around. The grimdark titles Sony kicked off during PS3 have funneled them down this path. I own a PS4, and am not planning on getting another Sony console, there’s no reason to.
This is fine. I like the existence of the timeline, but for different reasons. Connecting them all together via some plot, is not what I’m interested in, and Nintendo hasn’t been pushing that either.
I see it as more of a way to place the game releases in a loose story order. The first two are in the Decline era. I think that’s fun. Nintendo hasn’t come out with some info dump trying to explain why, they just placed it there and moved on to the next thing.
Now the possible movie/tv show? That’ll probably over-explain everything lol
FFXIV did a very good job of maintaining the lore from the Final Fantasy games he worked on, so I can totally see why he wouldn’t want to go back.
That franchise has become so mainstream, it would be a nightmare to direct, with too many boardroom producers eager to turn it into Game of Thrones (see: FFXVI) or whatever hot show was around during their long dev cycles.
The truly sad thing for me, is that we won’t get more of Last Story. I really enjoyed the combat in that game and was interested to see where they’d take it. But that’s okay, looking forward to Fantasian and the chance of a console comeback for Mistwalker.
They said why they’re enhancing it in the article. It isn’t like you have to burn your original edition or Treasure Trove, it’s just a super-remixed updated version.
I’ll be getting it, mixing up cheat codes for a custom experience sounds like fun.
Also, making games isn’t easy. A lot of comments here read like football fans who can’t play football. You don’t actually know anything lol.
Must be doing well if they’re buying up the Intellivision property. Personally, nothing from Atari2 excites me, so don’t really have a dog in this fight.
This isn’t anything like the other acquisition stories. Sounds like Nintendo sees a good dev about to get closed down and decided to keep them in operation. Even better that they can keep working across all platforms.
Awesome, I just picked up a book on him called “Ask Iwata” last week so this’ll be nice to watch alongside that.
Practical application and development will always win over excessive bloat. The BigTwo now basically have a PC architecture, there isn’t much difference between them other than build, and the games are getting so massive it’s common for most of them to have a long patch list. That translates to devs putting in more work on a game after it’s already released…devs who are already overworked from crunch time.

Thank god for the Switch.

Both of them look great!
Re: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Details Role Of Longtime Recurring Character
Seems like his arc was the royal engineer, then gravekeeper, then eventually the ghost that’s instructed to challenge Link in the royal catacombs.
Pretty stand up dude

Re: Random: Nintendo's New 'Button Collection' Toys Can Be Used For Real Controller Repairs
I want them as fidget toys, don’t see the point in using them for spare parts. We have people 3d printing most of those pretty well already.
Re: Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered Confirms Halloween Launch In New Trailer
I still have the original, but enjoyed this game enough to go back in for the remaster.
Re: Mario + Rabbids Director Davide Soliani Leaves Ubisoft After 25 Years
Hope whatever he does next is still in gaming. The Mario + Rabbids games are fun enough to want to see what he can do outside of Ubisoft’s control.
Re: Square Enix And Nintendo Co-Dev Reports Losses After Multiple Projects Cancelled
They need to stay away from SquareEnix and re-build relationships with better publishers. SE has been on a downward spiral since FF7Remake.

Re: Reaction: A Direct That Delivered, And Shows That Switch Still Has Plenty Of Pep
It was good. While some things were underwhelming, there are several titles I’m looking forward to.
My big takeaway was MP4. Personally, Xbox still had the strongest showcase this year

Re: Suda51 Unsure If Travis Touchdown Will Return, Admits It's Not His "Call To Make"
Nah, screw every naysayer. NMH is great, in general. 1, 2, strikes back, and 3. Thank god for those games.
Don’t need him to come back, Travis Touchdown lives rent-free in my heart.
Re: Random: Nintendo Of America Appears To Have Updated Its Sign
I love the grey for the NES kinda look, but yeah that looks exciting in NintenRed. Makes me wanna play!

Re: Atari's First 'Sprint' Game In Three Decades Launches On Switch Next Month
Sweet, I’ll be picking this one up. Kinda wish we got a battle racer in this isometric style. Like a mini Mario kart kinda thing.
