Wow, never heard of this game until today, and I have to say, it looks like allot of fun.

Looks fake to me. Shadow behind button doesn't seem to make any sense and the button itself looks slightly off center. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Looks great but man the dialogue is just terrible!! Why do people still feel swearing every 2nd word is cool. lol

I've always wanted to see a re-imagined HD, highly detailed version of Altered Beast with amazing graphics, sounds, weather effects and all. Add a couple of new levels, make the boss fights a little more challenging, and I'd gladly pick it up for a few bucks. Just a little fan service for us oldies =)

I apologize if I sounded as though I was "having a cow about it". I'm at work and short for time lol. Hard to express yourself properly in these comments sometimes. I do disagree with your statement "And in all cases, if that thing stops working or goes missing-- whether it be a hard drive, a console, a disc, or a cartridge — the data on it is lost forever without any good option to replace it."

I have no problem replacing my older physical games on eBay or local retro shops. If my Wii dies, how would I go about getting Contra Rebirth on a new Wii years down the road? There are pros and cons in regards to both formats and they are definitely not the same thing. And remember I buy both formats. I just happen to prefer a physical, complete copy of a game. That's my preference and that's all I stated earlier. If you prefer digital, all the power to you. That's your preference.

And just to be clear again, I'm not "having a cow about it" =)

@johndevine I buy digital when I need to. My comment was a general comment in regards to digital titles, not just the Wii. The point is digital markets shut down at some point. I prefer physical but go digital in some cases (digital only titles and sports titles).

@Stocksy Agree 100%. When you buy digital, you're not really buying to own. You're technically buying the right to play a game while the market is available. You're essentially renting. I still buy digital only games however and go digital for sport titles I don't care to collect.

@Carnictis Agreed, that's why I said I "PREFER" them =) I still buy digital when needed. Digital games are definitely more convenient while the digital market is available. As a collector, I just tend to gravitate towards physical copies. I still play my Atari 2600 from time to time =)

@Razieluigi I'm a collector and have games for my 2600 so I don't understand your point at all. My physical games will be playable by me for many years to come. I didn't say I LIMIT myself to physical games. I said I PREFER them. I buy digital when needed.

This is why I prefer to buy physical copies.

Who exactly is going to want to watch this? Why bother if you're going to alienate the fan base by pissing all over the MH universe? I don't understand the motivation behind this at all. This modern day take on MH looks absolutely terrible.

I don't understand why Capcom would allow this. Video game movies should get the same treatment and respect that superhero movies are currently getting. This is so disappointing. Resident Evil was a HORRIBLE movie series.

I would gladly buy and play this game again on the Switch. X had a special feel to it that put it above the other Xeno games in my personal opinion. While it may not feel complete, it was my favorite Xenoblade game by far. I loved that game!

@impurekind Completely agree with you. Proper VR is not going away and is quite viable in it's current form. Resident Evil 7 VR for example is quite the experience. I don't understand why some people are so keen on writing off VR entirely. As gamers you'd think we'd all be a bit more enthusiastic about the tech.

I still can't believe this thing is real and not a joke. It just looks hilarious. Hard to believe the makers of this thing are serious.

That looks like an absolutely nightmare to wear. I see no appeal in this device whatsoever.

I'll be picking this up for sure. Enjoyed Fifa 18 but really missed the ability to play remotely with friends.

@belmont Right, so far all indications point to a download being required to play the single player game. The cartridge will save you from having to download a large portion of the game but that's about it. If this is all true, then I'll get the digital version. I don't see the point of buying a physical copy for only a portion of the game.

@Grant007 I meant, I'll get the digital version. There's no point in getting the physical if you don't get the entire playable game.

I'm going to have to get the digital version. I don't see the point of buying a physical copy with a required download. I want my games to be playable after all the online services have been taken down.

This game reminds me of a bad B movie that I just have to watch. I just can't explain it. Wish they had a demo.

I'd be much more excited if they patched the current sound issues in Doom. I LOVE the game but stepped away thinking I'd come back after the patch. Still hasn't happened which is a huge bummer. If they use the same engine for Wolfenstein 2, hopefully they can bring whatever fixes they put in place over to Doom.

I won't consider a Wolfenstein 2 purchase until Doom is fixed.

@Proust I also haven't played Skyrim yet and finally look forward to playing it on a Nintendo console. You'd be surprised how many people haven't played it yet and finally feel a need to.

@Agramonte I don't believe Doom failed. It's been holding up a decent spot on the eShip considering it's age and it's price point. I got the game and I'm loving it along with the multiplayer.

I have no idea what all the fuss is about. I though the trailer was decent. People nowadays seem to overreact regarding pretty much anything. People need to chill a bit.

I've put the most time into Xenoblade Chronicles X. I can't believe the franchise isn't on the list =(

I also have no doubt Nintendo will embrace the technology when the time is right for them. As of right now I'm looking forward to the NX and getting myself an oculus.

VR is going to be absolutely huge and the more people that try it, the bigger it will get. This is not just a screen in front of your eyes folks. People really need to stop making that comparison. This is full on, stereoscopic 3D. You actually feel a great sense of depth which leads to a sense of immersion never seen before in the gaming world. I'm absolutely pumped. This is not a gimmick. This is a revolution in gaming. I'm convinced VR is here to stay.

I won't even consider a console lacking physical controls. This looks more like a kids toy to be honest. I highly doubt this will be the NX controller. At least I really hope not.

Wow, this news really put a damper on my excitement for the game. I was actually looking forward to this. I just don't understand the logic behind this decision. Perhaps a major overhaul was needed to implement such a feature? I suppose that could be the case. I'm just not sure.

Give me backwards compatibility with Wii U and 3DS and I'll be as happy as can be.

I honestly couldn't be happier with this news. A powerful system that supports both domestic and portable play. Damn!

What I really find disturbing is the fact that the game is missing all together from ebgames.ca . How is that even possible considering how close the release is??? I know it's listed on the US version but man it doesn't help that it's missing from the Canadian site. I just don't get it.

I'm sorry but this game still looks like some silly fun. Still getting it regardless of what I'm reading online.

I can't explain why but all this negativity makes me want to buy and play this game even more.

There's no getting around it anymore for me. In order to truly experience what the gaming world has to offer I now need to own a Sony (can't stand MS) and a Nintendo console. It's the best of both worlds. If this port succeeds and a sequel is released, I will need to play it. I loved ZombiU. I just don't see 3rd party support coming back to Nintendo for some time to come.

@Peach64 I'm starting to think Peach is right. I think we're looking at a cheaper console that I suspect will also play Wii U games. If you think about it will actually serve as a Wii U relaunch with a new name, additional capabilities, and a much cheaper price point. They may also have gotten rid of the gamepad to help further reduce that price point. It may actually work if they promote it properly but like Peach said it's moving Nintendo further down the casual gamer road.

I really don't believe we're looking at a new system on par with PS4 or xbox one.

Until the stock situation improves in North America I'm pretty much done with Amiibo's. I've officially reached my breaking point.

VR is NOT a gimmick. Sorry guys but this is the future of gaming whether you like it or not. I predict VR will explode onto the scene and change everything. Until you try it, you really have NO IDEA how immersed you feel in the experience. I for one can't wait and am very disappointed in Nintendo for not jumping on the bandwagon. I think it's a huge mistake that will have them playing catch up in the future. Ultimately time will tell.

I'm sorry but I couldn't disagree more. In fact there's nothing else I'm as excited for. VR is the future and the current generation will probably blow allot of people away once they actually try it.

Now that I'm over E3, I'm getting more and more excited by Star Fox.

I feel so underwhelmed at the moment. I was really hoping for some kind of surprise.

Shenmue 3 announcement has officially convinced me to get a PS4. I love my Wii U but the lack of major 3rd party support is just taking it's toll on me. Not to mention the FF VII remake. I just can't take it anymore =) These games belong on a Nintendo system!
