Re: Kamiya To Take His Bayonetta Vision 'To The Grave', Thinks Franchise Will Still Continue

@larryisaman My guess was they were hoping the Switch’s momentum would boost the sales of the franchise similar to Fire Emblem, Pikmin and Metroid but an M rated action game is difficult to sell to people who aren’t already fans of the franchise. Like you said, 1 millions pretty decent. If they keep publishing xenoblade games at similar sales surely Bayonetta can survive for awhile. I can only assume Bayo has have the budget as xenoblade haha

@Woodyshoe @Woodyshoe Three has sold over one million copies which is a little less than 2. If you include the Wii U’s sales of 2 it definitely has more.

That being said, Origins was released to die. Even I haven’t played it as a huge bayo fan. It’s simply a game no one asked for and so different from the main line series. I’m hoping Nintendo will publish at least 1 more bayo game because 3’s ending didn’t sit right with me.

Re: Soapbox: Lavender Town Isn’t Pokémon’s Scariest Location, It’s Someplace Far More Sinister

@Sisilly_G I know I know I know I kicked myself in the foot about spending $60 but let me explain. My thought process was “Oh, this is a somewhat older pokémon game being remade, and it still has the nostalgic top down overview that I loved from the red/blue/green games” I did think the graphics were a bit lazy but it felt like the perfect opportunity to hop back into the franchise. Boy was I wrong. Unfortunately the newer games and their styles just haven’t really appealed to me much, including arceus. But I have a 3ds so i’m considering looking more into those titles!

I really wish I could get into Pokemon. I loved playing pokémon red/blue/green when I was 7, didn’t play any pokémon games after that until the diamond and pearl “remakes” which were beyond disappointing for me. It’s just so sad when you see a franchise with so much potential, especially when other nintendo headliners are cranking it up to an 11. Maybe one day the Pokemon company will stop being so greedy and give the players what the deserve, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Anyways, interesting article!

This game looks spectacular! But as the switch approaches it’s 6th year on the market, and next gen consoles show off their power, I wonder how much longer the switch can keep up. Obviously gameplay should take preference over performance and graphics, but it would still be nice to see Nintendo games on the same level of PS5 and XSX

Re: Feature: Best Switch Ports - The Most Impressive Ports On Nintendo Switch

These are the games I look to when people say certain games can’t/don’t run well on Switch.

Now before you call me ignorant, I understand that some games will never be able to run on Switch because of the way they are made, but when I argue with people about this topic, it’s usually about games like Outer Worlds, for example.

Re: Review: Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling - A Lovely Indie Tribute To Paper Mario

I know some people are turned off by the art style and bug theme but this game is the definition of a spiritual successor. It has really great writing and the gameplay becomes surprisingly deep and strategic, sometimes even more so than other mario rpgs. If you are privileged enough to help the devs out, might as well. It could lead to future installments in the style of franchises we may never see the same way again. (This is just my opinion of course)

Thanks for all of the wonderful replies and opinions! Hopefully I’ll get around to playing all of them someday but based on everyone’s info, I think i’m leaning towards hollow knight!

Re: Media Create Will No Longer Share Japanese Sales Data Publicly

Aaron00

I always enjoyed coming to nintendo life each week to see if my favorite titles were selling well. This is quite disappointing. I’m not sure why they want to put sales figures behind a paid wall. I can’t imagine very many people have much of a desire to pay for such things but maybe I’m wrong.
