@Funny_Moblin Definitely. I'm not arguing against that. I think ganondorf, wolf, especially toon link, luigi, and lucas all deserve moveset changes and all have enough history and detail in their games to create moves from. In fact, I think Dr. Mario and Young Link should come back even, but give them movesets based off of their games like masks and the ocarina or using viruses to create flame, electric, and ice moves.

please don't compare lucas to pichu. Lucas is a relatively important video game character and a very important character in Japan. Ike is worth keeping, though I will agree with you on that. He'll continue to become more obscure because he'll be buried under newer characters like Chrom. However, because he was the first 3d fire emblem protagonist and he was in 2 games, he should still stay in.

@Ernest_The_Crab Brawl didn't have any unlockable conetnt until it was released in Japan. By the time it came to the US (If I remember right March 8th), almost all characters were on the site, albeit with spoiler alerts. Everyone knew the full roster before it came to the US, though, so maybe Sakurai is considering a universal release date like pokemon X/Y

But seriously, this direct may have been planned months ago.

Personally this was a 10/10 game and I haven't even bought any of the minigames yet. This is what nintendo was once before they became nontendo. Its nice seeing something original and quirky. The humor is reminiscent of earthbound for me.

The only expectations that are raised of mine are the release dates. I expect them both to be out before black friday now, and possibly even before the summer's over.

this is seriously a really good game. A game like this is proof that nintendo is the most creative video game company out there.

GBA games are well overdue, but it's nice now that all handhelds can be played on the 3ds (aside from ambassador titles, but I'm done with all of those especially with 184 hours in FE sacred stones).
Hopefully mother 3 gets a chance at a US release now that Earthbound has sold very well on the eshop.

Why would you want a wii remake when there's n64 and gamecube games that could use the updated graphics much more?

No doubt this will be my favorite pic this week unless a new character is revealed. The better question is, why wasn't the poltergust in Brawl?

@hcfwesker Yes. A new franchise? Anything nintendo makes that isn't "new" or "returns" is welcome in my book. It probably won't be an Ocarina of Time, but should be a fun little title.

Hopefully this is the last lousy week for a while. With a strong April, along with a certain to happen nintendo direct, I bet we won't have to deal with this crap anymore or at least for a few months.

Personally I'm happy with this news, but that doesn't mean Johnredcorn doesn't have a point. He's willing to admit that those prices are too high. I actually think the prices should be $6 for gba games and $3-4 for NES games depending on if they have save files or not.

I was going to complain about nintendo not releasing smb3 and this instead, but with the news today, I think I can forgive them to a large extent.

I'm tempted to pick up rayman origins, but I think I'll wait for it to go even lower in a year or 2.

@allav866 Smash bros will also be on the 3ds, and I'm going to guess that the 3ds version will greatly outsell the wii u version and most people won't want both versions if it means having to drop $300 on a wii u vs 150 on a 3ds, especially if they have the same amount of content.

How about coming to the 3ds instead? It's been almost 3 years since we last got gba games on the 3ds. Why the stalling?

I kinda want this game even if I'm not going to play it just because it's a somewhat important piece of nintendo history. This series could be perfect for a remake, albeit in higher quality.

I'd much rather have a 2d metroid over a 3d one. in fact, I'd almost certainly buy a 2d one and probably not buy a 3d one.

They've definitely lost their way, It's really sad because they have always been very creative, innovative, and magical with their games and hardware. With a few exceptions, the wii u is the outlier of the company's history (along with virtual boy). I guess after the succes of the wii, they got a bit cocky.

Definitely an interesting year. Dr. luigi and luigi's dlc both came from nowhere. I think it's time to give a smaller franchise character a chance at having their own year, though. Maybe even just a year of Smash Bros. to give the whole roster a chance to shine.

No! I haven't downloaded any DJ hero dlc yet, which I admit I should have done 3 years ago. The dj hero series is one of the best game series I ever played and probably my all-time favorite third party game ever released on a nintendo console.

It's not too bad. Provided I get a wii u, I might still buy it, but was hoping for $15-20. I remember back in the Xbox days when I saw an ad for munch's oddessy, but never got to play it. The series looks really cool, and even though it looks weird, I think the weird look goes well for the series.

It's all capitalism boys (and girls). Gamestop is benefiting and so are you when you trade in those games. Sure, you won't get as much as you THINK you should get, but if they gave you what you think you should get, they'd be out of business a long time ago. It seems that unless they change their used game strategy and be more generous, walmart will take them over.

In other news, gamestop just declared bankruptcy.

This is what nintendo should be remaking. N64 games like DK 64, F-Zero X, and Majora's mask are much more worthy and needed of remakes than games like Windwaker.
