You have to be more specific, because by your logic the 3ds is in the same market as the xbone, which it is not. Sure, they're both video game systems, but they have different target segements.

@Einherjar I can respect your response, but disagree to an extent. While I'm no twilight fan, I have to suspect that the movies were very high quality and superior to most independent low budget films. Of course there are exceptions, but general rule is that the market is right and picks the superior product.

@NintendoMonkey Never gonna happen. Wii u will never pass ps4 in sales numbers, especially if the ps4 wins over xbone this e3. We'll be lucky to have more sales than xbone, and even that is very unlikely.

@unrandomsam yes. yes they do, that's why the sales numbers are so stressed in the industry. Also, neo geo was nowhere near snes or genesis (or ps1 but to be fair ps1 came out 4 years after neo geo did).

Sales numbers speak for themselves as which console is better. Just as the wii was superior to ps3, ps4 is superior to wii u.

Iwata is not attending e3, although he could still be hosting the direct, so I guess undastanding is not quite yet out of the question, but with reggie in charge, there should be a lot less undastanding and more you know what kicking.

I never played this when it came out on GBA, but I regret not playing it sooner after I got my hands on it as an ambassador.

I'm honestly shocked and impressed that Sakurai has enough details about the game that not 1 but TWO new stages were revealed before the week of e3. Trying not to get hyped, but it's hard. Not to mention please understand is deconfirmed unless reggie says it.

@AlexSora89 lol but honestly Sceptile makes just as much sense as Greninja does since they're both equally relevant. Although I guess the argument for sceptile over greninja could be made as well. I'm still upset that Greninja is a character over Mewtwo, Victini, Meowth, and Squirtle.

@JaxonH I ithink you misunderstand what I mean by crossover sales. Please undastand. A game like OOT 3D affected the number of 3ds sales that ALBW would have moved because some people already bought the console for OOT 3D. Some zelda fans already bought a wii u for WWHD and maybe a few more will buy one for Hyrule Warriors. This equates to a smaller impact of Zelda U.

Fair point about every game moving units, but most games will move a very insignificant amount. Even great games such as W101 and Pikmin 3 only moved a few ten thousand units each. The only real difference makers are the blockbuster titles like MK8 and SSB4 and there's only a few blockbuster titles left for nintendo before it's over. Maybe if a new metroid or starfox is in development they can move half a million units, but I doubt it at this point.
I agree and disagree on the ever-growing library concept. Sure, a game is always in the library, but it's quality depreciates over time because they lose the hype that comes with them. Case in point, Pikmin 3 has not sold too well and probably won't because it was released long before anyone even had a wii u.

Of course nintendo will exist as a company unless something crazy happens, but mk8 only sold around 1 mil units so far, and the only game in the foreseeable future to move any units will be smash. Zelda U may move some units, but the crossover sales from WWHD and Hyrule warriors means the impact of Zelda U will not be as big, not to mention it almost certainly won't be out until at least 2015. Nothing else will move units for the console, and nintendo can't make a profit off of less than 7 million wii us. Sakurai better have something good up his sleeve, because if not, wii u won't even sell 15 million units in its lifetime.

It's nice when they have little crossovers like this to pay homage to fan favorites. I wish they did this all the time.

I'm trying not to think about e3 until the day before so I don't get too hyped like last year. Nonetheless, I have incredibly high expectations of Sakurai because the fate of the wii u and even home consoles in general for nintendo may fall on him.

Kid Icarus Uprising was the most surprising moment for me at e3. Earthbound being re-released was the most surprising moment ever for me.

Not surprised it's a huge success, after all it's one of the very few reasons to even own a wii u. Hopefully this is the start to a bunch of good games and no game droughts.

This would be great. I'd personally prefer a nintendo save data cloud drive, but knowing nitnendo's lack of embrace of things internet-related, that's probably not going to happen for at least 5 years.

I think that the NFC figures fit the idea of smash perfectly. After all, all the characters come to life from the form of a trophy. Think about the openings to smash 64 and melee, both are toys that are activated.

What @Fireninjastar said. Mixing things up could make a cool new experience. I would rather have a new game than brawl 2.0. I'm going to guess that the figures will store records, custom movesets, and save data.
