I think Starfox would be the perfect first game to use 2 gamepads at once. F-Zero could use 2 gamepads, but we don't even know for sure if it's in development.

Terrible summer, but the end of the year release schedule looks fantastic and will be a great time to get a wii u.

I like the concept and think they have earned their keep in nintendo's history. Of course, I don't want any racist/sexual miis to play against (well honestly I'll probably laugh the first few times I see them, but they'll get very old very quick).

I'll probably never play as them, but a unique fighter from a underrepresented franchise and a character who has proven their worth definitely deserves a spot. ESPECIALLY over greninja.

Will be getting this when I get a wii u. $2 for a toki tori game? Deal.

@Dreamz Oh I'm not saying it looks like a bad game, even a game that I won't get. Rather, I think they did the same thing as they did nitnendoland a few years back. Great game, sure to sell, but let's give the other games a chance to have the spotlight and save the excessive gameplay footage for the treehouse. Again, this is a minor thing, as it was the only thing about the entire direct I found negative, and it's not even the game itself but rather their approach to it.

I think it was actually a dumb idea not to do a press conference for nintendo, simply because they would have gotten the crowd going like CRAZY. I think the whole direct was nearly flawless with the only complaint being too much time being spent on splatoon.

@rjejr I thought it was an okay looking game for kids, just not for me. Project steam I thought was a better original ip to come out of nowhere.

Sweet just give us an f-zero game even if it's an eshop game and you'll have the happiest customer in the world. Well I guess I could always ask for mother 3, but seeing what reggie did 2 days ago in response, I think I'll remain quiet.

Welp, guess nobody is going to be getting the downloadable version then. You would have to be a moran if you are going to pay the same price for 2 games vs. 1, especially considering that a good number of people here haven't even played the original.

I was hoping for some games I didn't have, but whatever. Starfox is in the works and a non-ww zelda was confirmed. I'm happy enough.

Wow 2013 and 2014 may have been the worst years nintendo has ever had, but 2015 seems poised to be perhaps the greatest year they ever had.

I'm not happy but undastand Sakurai is doing his best I'm sure. Also, that will probably give us another 3-5 characters, giving us at least as many as brawl not including unlockables

@rjejr You really should play it. It's one of the best games I have ever played and my personal favorite so far this decade. The comedic humor, sakurai-level of details and unlockables, and story are seriously breathtaking. I'd say it's probably the greatest experience I have played in a video game since Mother 3 back in 2007.

@rjejr what you said, yes. I want to see a out-of-nowhere new game or even a revival a la Kid Icarus Uprising. "New" and "Returns" are poor excuses for an otherwise genius company. I'm hoping for no more than 1 rehash game.

@Ralizah would you care to bet on the wii u ever passing the ps4? Consensus is what we can trust at the moment, and the potential is something we can trust for the future primarily, with consensus being somewhat important at picking the trends.
The wii failed to continue to be a success because nintendo didn't see it being as successful as it was early on. If the wii had xbox 360 graphics, we would still be playing on the wii, but because graphics were very poor on the wii in addition to the slowing the casual game trickle down.

@Gashole This to the trillionth power. Nintendo has of late been playing it safe with SM3DW, DKCRTF, and WWHD. They need some risky games like W101, even if they don't create a financial success for nintendo, they create fan loyalty.

@luke88 xbox had original cod and halo before they got stale. I think you forget how good both of the series used to be. Not to mention DVDs could be played on xbox and not dreamcast.

Why was pink gold peach not dlc rather than birdo? Birdo is a veteran and he is actually an important character in mario history.

@Ralizah I don't blindly follow the market and don't appreciate the condescending remarks. The market speaks for itself and has spoken. Of course that doesn't mean only the top selling system is good. Only that if you take a random selection of the population, they will likely deem the best selling system as superior. Thus consensus will provide the best product. Consensus may think killing is bad, but if you don't think it is bad, then maybe you are right, but you're objectively wrong from consensus, same thing goes for the market place as the law.

@somari First xbox was better than dreamcast. Don't forget how amazing the frst halo was. Just because it got old in future xbox systems doesn't discount how great the original xbox was.
