It's been a notable 24 hours for Nintendo, with the company announcing that Tatsumi Kimishima will take over as President on 16th September, with Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda taking on new titles as Creative and Technology Fellows and seemingly being integrated closely in the overall management of the company. This structure and Kimishima-san's previous role with Nintendo of America points to a potential shift in management approach for the company.

There's been plenty of coverage of the announcement in Japanese media, prominently Nikkei, and well-known and highly respected analyst Dr. Serkan Toto has been tweeting some interesting translations and interpretations of these articles, including an interview with the new President.

First of all, below are some tweets on that interview with Kimishima-san.

Another article looked at the appointment and Kimishima-san's approach more closely, with Dr Toto sharing the following observations that include the apparent detail that the new President had previously anticipated problems for the Wii U when it came to market.

Some interesting comments and observations. Now that a little time has past since the announcement, how do you feel about Tatsumi Kimishuma's appointment and the new roles for Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda?
