@ Darknyht I'll do ya one better: I read this article about how the Wii U does have some juice under the hood but it's up to the developers to optimize their games based on what it gives. Here's a quote from the article: “I can’t detail the Wii U GPU but remember it’s a GPGPU. So you are lifted from most limits you had on previous consoles. I think that if you have problems making a great looking game on Wii U then it’s not a problem of the hardware.” http://www.nintengen.com/2014/02/wii-us-gpu-is-highly-efficient-not.html

Well, guess I'll get the pc version. Based off of comments in the past about how the Wii U was a 'powerful system' and development was going good on it, one would think development was coming along smoothly. Oh well, I WAS holding out for the Wii U version but that's bollocks now!

It sucks that people haven't figured out the Wii U is a newer system but it's also lame Nintendo didn't change the name prior to release. Nintendo making money with less is incredible though. Truly speaks to how good they are at finding ways to always make money.

It's funny, I bought a Wii U at Walmart on launch day. My NintendoLand would not play. When i bought the original Wii, my Wii Sports wouldn't play. I even traded it in and the new one wouldn't play either. So, I've never been able to play the pack in games on either system. Weird.

Bigger hdd. Not a carbon copy physically of the Wii itself, which confused folk to begin with. If they use a similar controller, even clearer resolution. Pressure sensitive triggers. Nfc under the touchscreen like the New Nintendo 3DS so the tablet designed controller can be thinner than the current one (if they use the design again). Complete new innards designed with co-assistance from either nVidia or Radeon and NOT based off of the old Wii hardware with upgrades. Just a few things off the top of my head ☺

I have yet to be disappointed with a Nintendo system. First party games are always excellent and I do but it for third party games as well but Nintendo seems to always make their systems with themselves in mind and that's that. I know they claim to want 3rd parties but it seems to be just smoke and mirrors. If they had more impressive tech, I believe some 3rd parties would have stayed around. I have a lot of Wii U games and PS4 games. A ton if Vita games and a crap load of 3DS games. And about 44 games on Steam on my PC. All of those system offer me something. Some may not like the Wii U but I will say that I do have more fun on it compared to the others more than half the time. It really is a good machine. Marketing has screwed it up though. It looks EXACTLY like the Wii and I have heard mothers in Target tell their kids that they weren't gonna buy the Gamepad for their Wii. I took it upon myself a cohple times to explain to a female Target employee and a mom that it was a NEW system, not a new controller. Nintendo kinda screwed themselves on that one.

I actually wanted The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for my Wii U off the e shop but it never happened. I saw it for $30 on PS4 and snatched it up. They coulda had my money when I wanted the download for the Wii U. Oh well, maybe next time.

I went into GameStop around noon here in Memphis. Asked for the game and the guy says we having a "WHOOPING 2 copies left." So, there was just one left after my purchase. I guess someone is gonna be out of luck! I got MY copy 😆

Dammit, I gotta get this game too! I loved those levels on Super Mario 3D World. That, Bayonetta 2, The Evil Within, and Smash Bros. My backlog is getting up there. Still hooked on Destiny and haven't even touched Shadow of Mordor yet. It's funny, people keep sayin Nintendo has no games yet I have more games for them than I thought I would. Mostly great games. Can't wait for Toad's game though :-)

That's great news but like some have said, I would have expected the Wii U version first. It needs the bump in sales more than the 3ds. In any case, I'm glad it has performed well and hope the Wii U version kills it (not kill the 3ds but kills sales for everyone else the rest of the year).

I was so impressed with my 'let me try this approach' to SteamWorld Dig when it first came out, I have no problem trying another game from Image and Form. I normally don't buy too many indie games but that one stood out. Great purchase and can't wait for this new endeavor of theirs!

@LetsGoRetro Well, those are good to see on paper but blockbuster? I mean, million seller lookin' titles, man. I'll buy most of those just because I'm sure they'll be fun but you mentioned some I mentioned already. Those tare the ones I considered the blockbusters. Devils Third looks fun but I'm gonna wait on that one. Mario vs Donkey Kong may be good but selling great in the US? I dunno, man. I meant great titles that will/could sell the Wii U.

@Daisaku36 very strange indeed. Nintendo has a good handful of great games comin out in the next couple of months but no one has said anything in the way of what Nintendo has coming out for Wii U in 2015. Besides Zelda, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and Xenoblade Chronicles... what other hopeful blockbusters are comin out? Mario hasn't been announced (even though reports are of another game being made), Metroid hasn't been announced, and Star Fox is still kinda cloudy as far as what the game will actually be like. I don't think I'm missing anymore games. MH4 would be nice to slide in for gamers in '15. Why some posters don't like the idea of another good Wii U game is BEYOND me.

@Cooligan they're just tryin not to burn any bridges. If the Wii U does end up picking up steam, then they can start dropping an extra game or two on the Wii U because of a larger install base. So, it seems to me they want to save face if it does in fact make a turnaround.

God, SO much could be done with the sanity effect on the Gamepad. They could literally have a voice start whispering you telling you 'this isn't real' or 'keep going...you may die.' Or even that fly show up on your Gamepad. That game could make PERFECT use of the controller. Just anything. I'd rather they do a remake with BRAND NEW graphics (like they did with Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes) or a sequel though. Don't just update graphics.

JudgeMethos commented on The Console Wars Live On As Night Trap Remake ...:

@8BitSamurai it's because people didn't like that Nintendo used to be die hard against blood in their games while Sega was a bit more open to it and it showed. People made fun of Mortal Kombat on the Super Nintendo for having sweat come out/off of characters then blood but it looked better than the Genesis. It wasn't just Sega CD games. It was at a time when game violence started getting noticed and Nintendo defended themselves while pointing out that it's NOT us with the bloody games, it's our competition. That really isn't mean imo. It was a true.

JudgeMethos commented on The Console Wars Live On As Night Trap Remake ...:

@8BitSamurai well, those developers bridges were burned but the actual Sega let all that go and went third party. Some let it go and some didn't. Howard Lincoln threw their game under the bus but I remember it as funny, violent, and lame growing up. Just sayin. They need to let that ish go. It ain't worth it when Sega MAKES games for the Wii U and 3ds among others.

How do I feel? Typical. Guess I have no choice but to get either the PC version or PS4. I wouldn't be surprised if a Wii U version comes out later in 2015 after the fact. Then when it doesn't sell, Capcom will limit remakes for the Wii U. Same old, same old.

Ummm, cool vid, but...there were a host of OTHER awesome Wii U games on display. Was it so many that they didn't wanna make a longer video? Hmph! And the guy reviewing E3 was spooky as hell. He smiles consistently, never blinks, and is OBVIOUSLY reading. They woulda did better with just a voice over while showing ALL the games. Oh well, I guess that makes too much sense.
