Perhaps you've been tapping around the menus in Pokémon Shuffle, maybe while waiting for that clock to tick agonizingly down, second by second, so you can get another shot at that Espeon because you need it but hey no it's not like you're addicted or anything haha that would just be totally ridiculous ahahahaha!
Anyway, you might have wondered about the "Passcodes" feature and how it might come into play. Now, courtesy of Pokémon Get☆TV, we have our first to try out! Just head into Passcodes and enter the following number: 20150007.
This code should work worldwide and provide two Mega Start power-ups. If you have a Pokémon with an evolution stone in your lineup, one of these items will allow it to start the match fully buffed up. The gift has an in-game value of 4,000 coins and can help make you more ready to take on Pokémon that might be causing you trouble, like that smug-faced, board-constipating Espe-oh! The code is valid until 30 April, so be sure to enter it before then.
Have you felt the need to use power-ups while playing Pokémon Shuffle? Let us know!

Maybe I will be able to catch Mew now?!
That stinking Espeon...
Good luck with that Espeon, Tim! ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ
@TimLatshaw Edit, my eyes failed me once again! I missed read what you typed.
@Chaoz
No worries; it happens. : ) And thanks for editing the post to prevent any confusion.
So what do people who have played Pokemon Shuffle think about it? How does it compare with Battle Trozei? How much can you play for free before the cutoff?
Just curious to get some thoughts from those with hands on...
At this point I'm trying to decide when to stop. I've beaten everything but some of the "expert" level Pokemon, unlocked all but the last "expert" Pokemon (which you have to get all S rankings to unlock), and caught most of the Pokemon. It's even more annoying to wait when you're only going to try for an S ranking for the 3rd time, or try to catch a Pokemon you won't use.
@JaxonH I prefer the slower pace of gameplay of Shuffle to Link Battle, but I've not bought anything from it. If I could buy a version that removed the heart meter, I would.
Awesome, I will use this code. Pokemon Shuffle turned out to be a game I didn't think I'd like. Glad it was free, bonus it was fantastic.
These will come in handy to S-rank at least a couple troublesome Mega Pokemon battles. Thanks for the heads up guys.
The Mega Mawile fight was tougher than Espeon tbh.
Gengar you are mine!
@JaxonH it doesn't cut you off at all but you do have to wait for your heats to restock often.
That first paragraph was a joy to read, haha. Sounds like this game, like Candy Crush, is one I need to stay away from at all costs if I value my sanity and my wallet.
@Iggly I here you on that one...that was a frustrating battle...
It says code is expired???
I'm sort of past the need for it now, but I wouldn't turn it down.
Gengar and Mega Gengar were the worst. I spent days trying to catch them. I don't recall Espeon being difficult to catch. In fact, I've just checked my game data, and I scored an S-rank with Espeon.
@Chaoz He wasn't that bad to catch... just keep playing that same level, I caught Mew on my 8th try I believe.
Well, that's a bit late, haha! I actually just caught my final of the regular stage Pokemon this afternoon. I'm still in the midst of S-ranking everything, though (I only have 18 Expert stages unlocked) so I'll still get a bit of use out of the code.
HELL YEAH! I was finally able to beat Mega Glalie!
@Chaoz I caught Mew first try...
heh heh...
It's Mega Mawile that is giving me all the trouble...
To be fair, I do, in fact, remember Espeon being a pain. I still only have him as A-ranked.
I had to use mega start for mega glalie. That guy whooped me hard.
Just got into this... I think my life is over. I will NOT spend money on it, but I would if there was a remove hearts altogether for $10 or something. Maybe I'll try Trozei
I sure was wondering what those passcode options were. Problem solved! I've played on 2 consoles, slightly different tactics. It is easier, from my experience, to catch all the pokemon as they appear rather than carry on without catching them. They make a massive difference in later battles, more so than the levels of pokemon chosen, although some later pokes can be fab at the earlier ones too, but they don't tend to be too far ahead in the order they appear ingame.
I've been stuck on Mega Glalie for a week.
Sweet. I have all the regular campaign 'mons, and just need two more Expert level 'mon to catch. Now I'm going back to get S ratings on all levels. This will help.
I'll probably use it. All was going swimmingly until level 90 just as @Spoony_Tech predicted, when I finally purchased a +5 and Mega-start. Though I didn't need to the +5 as I had 8 moves left, mega Kagenahsa is my go to. I think I'm up to about 98 now, I only play once a day, usually while I'm cooking dinner.
@JaxonH - It's more a puzzle game than your typical match-3. Some Pokemon only have 3 or 5 moves, most are 15. And only getting 5 turns at a time limits you. It usually lasts 10-15 minutes. Though I'm not a Pokemon fan so that part may be lost on me, I just keep hitting the "optimize" button but you can choose your Pokemon. There are a few special levels to keep things interesting, Expert levels are a timed challenge, haven't played those yet. I suppose it would be a good use of your coffee break time since each playtime is so short.
@ReshiramZekrom same here, in fact I didn't realize he was hard to catch. Granted, I used a Great Ball, but it only took that one try.
"This code should work worldwide"...well, it ain't working for me, then.
@rjejr
Ya maybe, I've found Tipping Stars to be my go-to coffee break game of late. Levels can be completed in roughly 5 minutes, of course many need to be replayed to get awarded 3 stars.
Maybe I'll give Shuffle a download, why not... It's free after all.
@JaxonH It's not bad at all. Most are just upset because this is not your typical Nintendo but I haven't spent one dime or do I plan too.
I wAs downright addicted to this game just a few days ago till I got to the final level. It's actually fun leveling up your Mon and taking on the challenge. It was so bad for me at one point I was playing this game about every 2.5 hours lol.
@MagusDiablo: I was stuck there too. No longer;)
Cool! So far I've only had a few Pokemon that gave me some issues but I always managed to catch them without too much trouble. Mew was actually an easy (lucky?) capture for me, got it on my first try with no items. Haven't gotten far enough to fight Espeon yet I don't think, I've only beaten maybe 20 or so stages as of now. I've used just one Master Ball but only because it was my 5th attempt and I kept failing the capture since my percentage was always around 20-40 percent. I wish I could remember who that was.
@MagusDiablo How?!!! I can barley get him to half hp
I am so surprised, this game is actually pretty darn fun! Not the same as Trozei, but good nonetheless!
This reminds me, I gotta go use up my hearts. (Kidding. I was waiting for the timer. No reminder needed)
@JaxonH - Are you playing Tipping Stars on both systems or just the handheld? I'd guess that's a better use of your time than Shuffle. I read somewhere there would be 2 new levels to DL every week. I'm waiting for the final Hyrule Warriors DLC this Thursday then probably starting the game over from the beginning due to my save file issues so I probably need to set aside about 100 hours for that. .
Only an attack boost to get Mew very early on.
Do Pokemon Evolve in this game after you level them up or do you just have to capture evolved forms?
@rjejr
Ya, I started on Wii U but found the 3DS version very attractive on the go, so I started playing that one and have been ever since. Mr Mortimer, the game's director, is personally creating 2 new levels every week and sharing them with the community- he seems like a really great guy, and he's got a talent for creating great levels too btw...
You ever use that Prima guide for Hyrule Warriors? Has it been any help or...
@JaxonH - I'll be using the Prima guide more once I restart the game on Thursday after the DLC comes out Well unless Nitnedo allows me to move my internal save file onto my external HDD w/o overwrting both my sons save files. Seriously, whoever came up w/ that stupid save system not only should be fired but should be banned from any work related to computers. I mean we each have our own account, why should a sav efile form 1 account ever overwrite a save file form another account? Thats why we have separate accounts.
Oh, and last I checked the Prima guide wasn't updated to include any of the DLC. I know an actual hardcover book wouldn't be updated to include DLC after it was published but you would think the online version could be updated, one of the benefits of having it online.
@Barbiegurl777 I'm pretty sure the devs don't look at mybaby online.
This is actually a common thing in free to play games.
@ReshiramZekrom so did I and only used mega audio, pikachu, pidgety, and eeve
