Original Article:

Nintendo of Europe has run a number of promotions in recent years that aim to reward customers with free retail downloads; that trend is continuing as we head towards the end of 2014. This time around the promotion is all about the 2DS / 3DS, which is ideal for those picking up new hardware or have simply forgotten — until now — to register their system on Club Nintendo.

There'll be seven games, from which you can choose one freebie, but let's start with what you need to register on Club Nintendo to qualify:

  • A 2DS / 3DS / 3DS XL, registered between 11th September 2014 and 12th January 2015 (23:59 local time)
  • Register a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (released on 3rd October), or Pokémon Omega Ruby / Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (both released on 28th November) with Club Nintendo between 3rd October 2014 and 12th January 2015 (23:59 local time), and fill out the software registration survey – a required action if the copy of the game is purchased at retail, and is likely also necessary if you buy these games via the eShop..

Fulfilling both of those criteria will allow you to choose one of the following seven games on 3DS for free.

To avoid any confusion, this offer will apply in United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa, and Russia.

Are you planning to jump into this offer, European gamers?
