Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Flops on UK Debut

@khaosklub Eh. I had played Super Metroid before. It was glorious. But years later, when I played Metroid Prime, I thought it was the greatest transition of a gaming series from 2D to 3D. Didn't even feel like I was playing a different game. This was still as Metroid as it could be. Almost 15 years later, I still believe that.

Re: Story of Seasons Sequel is Coming Soon to 3DS in Japan

I'm still seeing people on the Internets being confused about this, so once more: Story of Seasons is not the same franchise as Harvest Moon anymore. The Harvest Moon franchise is now fully owned and continued by its former publisher (and the "Harvest Moon" games have REALLY taken a dive in quality since then), while the series' original developers have rebranded their games as "Story of Seasons" in the West. Thus, Story of Seasons IS the real continuation of Harvest Moon, even if it isn't named as such. If you want the good old Harvest Moon you've known and loved, you should be getting the Story of Seasons games instead.

Re: Poor Odds of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Coming to Wii U as Nicalis Says It's "Not Much More Powerful Than a PS Vita"

And what does power even have to do with The Binding of Isaac? How is that even an excuse for not releasing that particular game on that platform? I'm pretty sure the game's not very demanding, a downgraded port even runs on the New 3DS, which is much, much weaker than a Wii U. I don't know if the Wii U is much more powerful than a Vita or not, but I know this is BS.

@dizzy_boy ...so? This is ridiculous. It's not an excuse. This is still the parents' responsibility. Parental controls can easily lock down all internet capabilities. This same thing could have happened through any online social medium, including all the websites accessible through the 3DS' and Wii U's web browsers. Things like hardcore porn, gore, and interaction with shady, perverted people are just a Google search away. Give me a break.

I get it that Nintendo didn't want to be involved in any of that, because they probably believe that would hurt their "100% kid-friendly" image. But still... they've screwed their mature audience so many times I've lost count by now.

I've heard people saying that the reason Pokémon games don't have a screenshot feature was to prohibit people from posting inappropriate content on Miiverse. Like nicknames and such. But firstly, if that's case, why do they now allow this app, which can potentially post inappropriate pictures?

And secondly, there's a freaking report button on Miiverse. It's there for a reason. Same goes for the voice chat in Splatoon, and the removal of Swapnote. Parental controls can lock down a hell lot of things, if the parents desire so. I don't understand why Nintendo feels the need to be so strict do the parents' job.
