Fancy a new Zelda-themed Pro Controller for your Nintendo Switch? No worries, PowerA has got you covered.
The accessory maker has released a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Blood Moon Enhanced Wireless Pro Controller for Switch. It's available right now in the UK for £39.99. It's also out next month on 15th August for $54.99 in the US.
Here's the rundown, courtesy of an Amazon listing. As noted, it won't support HD rumble, IR, or amiibo NFC.
"Officially licensed by Nintendo, this PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo combines beauty and performance. Each rechargeable controller features world-class art, along with awesome gaming features. Program two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons on-the-fly, tilt your way through turns with motion controls, and enjoy up to 30 hours of gameplay on a single charge. So great, you may never want to put it down. Includes a 10ft (3m) USB-C charge cable, plus PowerA backs all products for 2-years to reinforce quality commitment. Can be used when Nintendo Switch is docked or undocked. Does not support HD rumble, IR, or Amiibo NFC. Multiple variables affect battery life estimate."
We've also got some additional screenshots:
The Blood Moon in Breath of the Wild is an event in the game that returns Link's fallen enemies to life. Would you be interested in a controller based on this? Tell us down below.

La lune de sang… Elle brille à nouveau cette nuit. Link… prends garde.
Looks like an ugly bootleg controller.
This is already on sale in the UK? GAME Sheffield tweeted out a pic of a Link plush, Skyward Sword HD and this exact controller yesterday (with price stickers on and everything). Maybe only new to the US?

Dr. Sexy.
@yoshinatsu it is
Anyway this looks very ugly. They could've made a nicer one for Skyward Sword HD.
I feel like the white clashes too hard with the red and black.
My wired PowerA Mario controller was also my first controller that had a drifting issue and the controller itself felt too light in the hand. I'd rather spend some extra money on a Pro Controller than a PowerA controller.
I already own another Zelda controller from them.
It's the worst, it's light which is nice but all you feel is plastic.
While the original pro controller feels solid, this one is just plastic and you hear every button you press, not really enjoyable imho... Don't waste your money.
The Power A controllers might look nice (although I don’t care for this one), but they feel so cheap while being too pricey for the quality you get.
Another controller without the features for the pro-controller.. guess another to avoid.
@MajinSoul
They're terrible. My wireless started drifting after a matter of months. My wired has massive dead zones on the sticks and just feels cheap and tacky. Biggest waste of cash ever.
@Grackler According to GAME it got released in the UK yesterday:

I've updated the story to reflect this.
My kid bought me a Power A controller a couple of years ago. It worked for a month before the A button stopped working.
@Nephestinus while i agree with you my kids love them due fact they are lighter
Fun fact: I didn’t know you could skip the blood moon cutscene meaning I wasted a lot of time in my play through
It's beautiful, but if it doesn't have HD rumble or an amiibo scanner, I'm not sure I should get it. I'd be better off with a normal Pro Controller.
" Link.......Link.....the blood moon rises "
Sends chills up my spine to this day..
@Liam_Doolan ah nice! It sparked a bell when I saw it on Twitter as it looked so good! I’m pretty content with the Pro Controller myself (and all the amazing battery life, HD rumble, motion control etc that comes with it); but for the (much lower) price these Power A ones seem decent quality. Got my sis a charging Pikachu wired PowerA one, and as well as a gorgeous case (like this Zelda one), the build was robust and it’s worked fine so far.
I'll stick to my 8bitdos. They have no HD rumble but they work great with no drift. A, B X and Y are a little noisy but I'd rather have the noise than the drift I got on my two pairs of joycons
Already got myself a Pro Controller, another pair of Joy Cons (pink and green), and a GameCube adapter for my two GameCube Controllers (both platinum).
My Power A Zelda Gamepad drifts.
Switch pro controllers look so Xbox even with a Zelda drawing.
I actually really like it. I was planning on buying a new Power A wireless controller so seeing another new option is great. I am not 100% sold on this one though. There could be a different older variant I might like, or another new one that gets released that I will want instead.
