Offering American code, asking for American codes (I want codes, not just stones)

First the game is stuffed with Mario and Pokémon characters, I can understand the Mario characters and justify Rosalina and Bowser Jr. with all of that different and interesting moves, but they are still too many characters of the same series, while other great games are completely left out or get 1 character at most.

Pokemons (other than Pikachu, and maybe Jigglypuff being in the 1st game) are completely random and nonsense choices which could be better in Pokeballs allowing more space for some veterans, newcomers, or completely new game series that could actually be original and interesting.

We dont get Chrom because Sakurai said he would be too similar to other Fire Emblem characters, but we get Lucina which is almost identical to Marth in both looks and moves. In the same way we get Dr. Mario and Dark Pit wasting a character slot when they are only clothes and color variations

Sakurai really messed up this game! ... At least when it comes to roster.

And again that'd be Greninja for me. Smash Bros is oversaturated with random pokémon as playable characters, a Pokémon Trainer and Pikachu would've been enough, so that more varied newcomers could enter.

They should release all the classic MK characters that are missing in this game (Diddy Kong, Birdo, Funky Kong, King Boo, Dry Bones, DK Jr.) or some actually new and creative characters (not just different 8 colors, 3 disguises or ages for the same old characters) from the Mario universe (Pauline, Wart, Nabbit, E.Gadd, Piantisimo, C. Syrup) before bringing characters from completely unrelated series

So... Sakurai didnt like Chrom because it would play very similar to the other Fire Emblem characters, but instead he decides to bring Lucina who is almost identical to Marth in looks and moves, yea that totally makes sense.

For download only games published by Nintendo, I always wait for them to be a club.nintendo reward. But hoping we'd get a retail version as Japan, I held off form getting NES Remix as my platinum reward, and now Im glad I did and went instead with Dr. Luigi for the platinum reward.

@TeeJay So do I, but not wasting 5+ slots in my Smash Bros. games.

We needed a least favorite character question, for me Greninja, the last thing Smash Bros needs are more random pokemon wasting character slots.

I admit I love the idea to play as some of my 200+ Miis. Not the best use for a playable character spot in Smash Bros, but its much better than stuffing the roster with random pokémon ... cough Greninja, Lucario cough Charizard cough cough!

Alejandro here, I had a great time racing and surprisingly right now Im in the top 3 (I had at least 3 horrible races because of my own fault and another more with no luck with the items). The last 5 or so races with more CPUs than humans sure helped me but it was hard anyway, whoever got 450+ deserves that 1st spot.

In Mario Kart 7 its easier to get 3 stars cups if you start with 150cc, since you have no unlockables and the CPU cant use them either, so I think it'd work the same way here... But if you like your MK though, itd be OK to start with 50cc.

The last thing we need is yet another "FPS with guns and blood"

New DLC characters, please! This clone filled roster needs actual variety!

Regardless of what this guy says, the game feels incomplete, otherwise we wouldnt be begging for DLC. No battle stages, no mission/challenge mode, no 2P gamepad, plus worst MK character roster ever... and he knows it.

MK8 character roster desperately needs DLC (top DLC priority), this is the worst MK roster ever with koopalings occupying 7 slots and babies 5 (some of which dont even exist out of Mario Kart) and dont get me started with gamings worst random idea pink gold peach... its the most lazy and unoriginal way of filling a roster. Especially with some classic characters left out and TONS of Mario character that would fit great as new racers. More tracks would be awesome, Id like to finally see GBA Cheese Land as a Retro track. Battle arenas is also a must for MK. Challenges in the DS format would also be nice, but not a priority.

Mine wont update, didn't show up on Download Management screen and it lauches the game without updating. Theres no update file for it in the system memory and the start screen isn't displaying "Ver 1.1" ... maybe its a regional patch.

Its sad, but this was completely expected. Im glad I picked up all of the Wii Shop games I wanted back when the Wii U was launched (including Star Parodier), the only delisted game I missed and really wanted was "The magic obelisk"

I have always preferred to play every game in its original console, so Virtual Console has never captivated me, I only download this games if they are for consoles I don't own (mostly imports and non-Nintendo) have enough interesting new features (online, content, portability) or are free, extremely cheap, or a promo (DKOE). But its a nice service for those without the original consoles and even for me, since I get to know many games I didn't know, or remember me to play others.

The Wii U Virtual Console games have much more pale colors than the original games or even their Wii and 3DS Virtual Console versions, you cant change the ratio or resolution to fit (up & down) or fill (completely full screen), most of them are extremely overpriced and even if you own the game for Virtual Console on other Nintendo system you have to pay again for the same game. Id prefer if we had the option to play Wii U without turning on the Game Pad, I like the upscaled graphics

In short theres no reason to buy Virtual Console games on Wii U, Miiverse is also available on 3DS and you can get upscaling and customizable controls without all the Wii Us disadvantages, legally (provided you bought another iteration of the game before) running a ROM in an emulator. Nintendo 3DS is a much better fit for Virtual Console games, unlike the Wii U Game Pad you can actually take the system out of the room and play, you can also use Miiverse, it also has Virtual Console menu/functions, and doesn't letterbox the image or washdown the colors.

Time for me to dust off my NES cart and play some Fantasy Zone!

Team up Pac-Man with Ms. Pac-Man, or the ghosts ala Captain Olimar & Pikmin. Or give him the moves used in his most recent outings, its not that hard to give him a decent move set and gameplay mechanics if they'd really wanted to include him.

I hope this time we get more new (I loved Sweet sweet canyon) and retro tracks (There are many great retro tracks that havent made a comeback like Cheese Land, Ribbon Land, Cheep Cheep Lagoon) even if they are paid DLC

I could barely control the Wii game with this method, its horrible IMO, and for collectible purposes Id only get one if it were black to match all of my Wii U accessories (I even imported a black balance board cover for the same reason)

Ive held off from buying Nintendo published eShop games, in the hope of getting it as a free club.nintendo reward later, or the less likely scenario to get them at retail.

They add a little of variety and are a nice idea for new characters, but there are too many of them occupy too much character slots. It would have been better to have them all in the clown car, using only 1 character slot. There are much more new and varied characters Id like to see like a Pianta, Wart, Captain Syrup, Mona, Prof E. Gadd, Nabbit, Pauline, more Kongs or Kremlings and the return of DK Jr.

We need Nintendo of Latin America.

Not surprised, this kind of awards are always handed to "mature" blockbuster games, regardless of them actually being quality games or not.

I like what Ive seen about the upcoming games, but I don't really like the character redesigns, specially Knuckles. I hope they bring a couple more old characters.

What about the evil Kongs in Jungle Beat, DK Jr, Baby DK and his toy versions?

Also I hope at least 3 of the Kongs and King K. Rool (or even a kremling) make it to Smash Bros, instead of continuing the current trend to saturate the game with Mario characters and random pokémon.

I hope they don't go with several pieces of hardware, as a Nintendo collector I couldn't afford all of them while continuing to buy old and the newest games.

I can justify Rosalina's inclusion with Luma moves, but It hurts everytime I am remembered of the terrible waste of a character slot that Lucario is.

@Sherman Maybe you are mistaking deleting the ID (erasing ID forever, losing rights to downloadable, but keeping all data) with formatting the console (unlinking ID, but not erasing it, only losing all save data). Anyway, it could be me who is wrong or misunderstanding something. In transfers between 3DSs you merge all of the games bought from the 2 consoles and can only access it from the target 3DS, and if there is a NNID on the source 3DS its also transfered (you can also transfer if none 3DS has an ID, but you cant do the transfer if the target 3DS has a linked ID) but when transferring from DSi you can chose which games you want to transfer.

Today is a sad day for Smash Bros. We started to waste the few spaces (some say less than Brawl or 40-something in the best scenario) with irrelevant pokemon. I barely began to deal with the news of Rosalina (almost equal to Peach in looks) saturating Smash with more Mario characters, and now this. I wasnt this disappointed and sad in this regard since I saw that FOUR of the ~10 unlockables in Melee were Pokémon and other 2 completely unknown guys (at the time).

Don't get me wrong, I love Pokemon, but they are so numerous (hundreds of them more powerful and popular than Lucario) that it would be fairer if they stay as items with the pokeballs, having many Pokémon but without occupying almost 10/36 character slots (Brawl) leaving only Pikachu and a Trainer as characters.

We need variety, veterans are missing (Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Ness, Ganon, Wario, Ike, Wolf, Meta-Knight, Lucas, Falco) there are plenty of original newcomers (Kongs, King K. Rool, Mona or Captain Syrup, Little Mac, Takamaru, Mach Rider, Tamagon, Bubbles, Sukapon, Impa, Sylux, Ridley, Palutena, Magnus, Paula, Starman, Chrom, Samurai Goroh, Krystal, Adeline, Custom Robo, Isaac, Starfy, Isa Jo, Chibi-Robo, Layton, Mii, Shulk, WiiWare or eShop characters and of course Non-Specific Action Figure) just 1 or 2 more 3rd party (Pac-Man, Prince of Persia, Bomberman, Snake, Rayman, Ryu H, Bub & Bob, Terry Bogard, Joe & Mac) continue with ROB idea, hardware as characters (Balance Board, Virtual Boy, 3DS)

... But no... out of all possibilities... they had to come out with a random Pokémon.

It looks like since the last few characters, they are being chosen by a child who barely plays or knows anything besides Mario and Pokémon, So whats next? Daisy? Koopa Troopa? Waluigi? OH, I know, more Pokémon!

@Sherman As far as I know, if your sister deletes her account, she will lose all of the games bought in that console up to that point permanently. Yes, games before the linking NNID-eShop will be "sucked" by the NNID.

Now that I think of it, I guess that method could work to override the country lock, but yes itd deleted ALL data (activity log, play coins, streetpass, friend code, friend list, downloaded apps, videos and games with their respective save data, even SpotPass, Street Pass and Extra Data for physical 3DS game cards). And it wouldn't work with free stuff, since you need an ID to download, and your other ID can only "suck" content that is downloaded without a NNID.

Right now your only hope of getting 4 swords without a NNID would be transferring it from a DSi or 3DS (without NNID) that already got it last year (this time its only available in the eShop, I checked and its not in the DSi Shop)

Yes I was only talking about eShop exclusive games, because I never buy retail games in digital format unless they give some exclusive stuff or massive (like 75% off) discount, but you are right those games are almost twice as expensive as USA.

As for the eShop cards, that's why I always buy eShop credit directly through the eShop with credit card, also I rarely see eShop cards and they often cost more than the eShop credit they give.

Yes, NNID thing Is a real trouble for people moving or traveling constantly.

You cant use Miiverse (and eShop also) if the region of the NNID doesn't match with the region on system settings, but once started you can interact with people regardless of their region. Once you start using Miiverse you can chose to display posts in your currently set language or all posts and you can change this setting whenever you want as many times as you want (again, regardless of regions).

Yes, you can unlink the ID from the hardware itself, but not from your eShop account (from the point you add a NNID, they are now one, and the same thing). You can format the console, but you will also lose ALL of your data, and you will also lose access to ALL of your eShop downloads (even those bought before linking the NNID) until you link the same NNID again. Deleting the NNID will also unlink it, but you will also lose access to ALL of your eShop downloads PERMANENTLY (even those bought before linking the NNID) since the eShop account is also deleted along with the NNID. Lastly, you can use a System transfer (which has no limits of use now) to transfer ALL of your data, purchases and ID to a new 3DS, but now your purchases will only be accessible in the new console and the old one is completely formnated without access to any of your downloads.
