Re: Yooka-Laylee Rattles Away From Wii U Release

I did think this might happen. Personally I couldn't care less. It wasn't even on my radar.

I don't put blind faith into a game made by a team who used to work somewhere else. I got Rare replay recently and I've barely touched it and it only cost me €12.

Pikmin 2 is very tempting. I had the opportunity to buy it brand new on eBay a few years ago for €20 and unfortunately didn't, now it's up to impossible to get and costs about €100.

I would have bought it at the time if I had played Pikmin 1 with New Play Controls as I didn't realise how well it works with Wii.

Re: Poll: How Important is the Virtual Console, and GameCube, for the Nintendo Switch?

I can only see the revelance of the VC in having games that are almost impossible to get otherwise. When the Wii VC was announced it was so exciting because it was a chance to play games because I either had sold my SNES or my N64 was broken.

I don't need Wii games or GameCube games on VC because I still have them and even though I have a GameCube the Wii plays them.

I don't see the crazy demand for GameCube VC that others do. If anyone here is expecting GameCube games to be cheap, if they do eventually come to VC, be prepared to be seriously disappointed.

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo, the NES Mini and Ongoing Stock Problems

I don't think Nintendo view themselves the way Sony and M$ View themselves. Nintendo are a company that hit the big time in the 80s/90s but they still behave like a small business.

They are very cautious in their approach, but they are making money. I think Nintendo have some of the smartest business minds out there. They have strict rules and they follow them. I am not surprised Nintendo didn't invest heavily in this project. I'd be more surprised if they did. We will get a Classic mini when we get one.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Release Date and Key Games Outlined

I don't see a reason to buy a Nintendo Switch since I won't be re-buying any games that I already own on Wii u. One thing I really hope is the new 3D Mario game is in the same vain as 64 and Sunshine.

As far as I'm concerned if the new 3D Mario game isn't the greatest game ever, Nintendo are finished.

Re: eBay Reports an Average NES Mini Sale Price of Over $200

I think the fact that they are still available on eBay and Amazon at these high prices shows they are not selling. People are entitled to sell anything they want at an asking price they want. It's called freedom.

@Allspice
Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it should be illegal.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Black Friday 2016 Deals in the UK

I'm not seeing any bargains there tbh. A Wii u is not worth £250/€300 and I don't care what game comes with it. Consumers are not stupid. This is where Nintendo are messing up.

You'd imagine Nintendo would have a big push to shift Wii u consoles since it's the last Christmas. There could be deals yet. I think it's worth buying one if you haven't already, but not at these prices.

Re: Project CARS Isn't Planned to Appear on the Nintendo Switch

@HappyMaskedGuy
That's a very narrow minded comment. I don't like Fifa or GTA and I'm certainly am not part of any lad culture gaming. I like what I like but I like Nintendo most. Gran Turismo should not be said in the same breath as Fifa and GTA.

Gran Turismo is a lot like Nintendo. Polyphony Digital strive for nothing short of perfection in their GT games.

Re: Project CARS Isn't Planned to Appear on the Nintendo Switch

One of my favourite games series is Gran Turismo. I'll get Project cars soon but I doubt it's in the same league as GT.

Unfortunately I don't think it'd do well on a Nintendo console. It probably works better with a steering wheel. Sim racers are a genre that are for a specific type of gamer. Even Forza is not really a sim it's a bit more arcade and we can see it's really popular. Sim racers are not as popular as they should be.

Another problem with sim racers is they can get bad review scores. Just look at some of the bad scores GT6 got and it's one of (if not) the best racing games of all time.

Unfortunately Nintendo gamers, or some of them want pick up and play games.

Re: Nintendo Of America Wishes Xbox A Happy 15th Birthday

I can't help but always think what would the gaming landscape be like had M$ not entered the race. I feel Nintendo would be in a much stronger position and they would be going head to head with Sony.

The GameCube might have been more successful. That was the turning point for Nintendo. A lot of 'what ifs'. Either way M$ changed the gaming landscape forever.

I loved the original Xbox. I hated the 360 and sold it, twice. Last week event though I'd only bought a PS4 three weeks earlier, I ended up buying an Xbox one elite in Argos for £200. Went across the border to Newry for it as they were all sold out in the republic.

Have to say I like it and the elite controller is very good. I then bought the Xbox one s controller a couple of days ago. I don't like it it feels cheap. I'm not impressed.

I think what I didn't like about the 360 was it was like a fan heater and you were just waiting for it to blow.

The One is a much better console and reminds me of the original Xbox. The bonus is, it can also play 360 games that I missed and you can buy them in CEX for nothing.

@SanderEvers
I currently have; PS2, PS3, PS4, GameCube, Wii, Wii u and Xbox one. It's insane.
