Re: Time Between Switch's Announcement And Launch Was A "Special Case", Says Nintendo

I have a funny suspicious Nintendo have quietly changed tact, at this late stage in switch's lifespan. Look at the games being released now, Metroid dread, Prime remastered, Tears of the kingdom and Pikmin 4. They're all games firmly aimed at core gamers.

They have the casual market cornered, now they are going after gamers like me. On playstation, nothing really happening, I'll buy a switch.

I recently got my first switch. I'm really liking Metroid dread.

What's right for you is right for you. I have a large backlog of games so I don't need to be in a hurry to buy newly released systems. I've games coming out of my ears. It's not like years ago when power played a part. All consoles are powerful nowadays.
My approach is; I can wait. I've plenty of games to play. Some games I will find hard to wait for and wish I could play. Mario Odyssey will be hard not to have. I can't buy a Switch to play one game. That is the only game I want on the system at the moment.
I'm not telling anyone not to buy a Switch. The more that is sold the better the future prospects will be.

I'm not telling anyone not to buy a Switch. Just suggesting options because he doesn't think it is worth buying at the moment. Either do i. He makes valid points that can't be brushed under the carpet. It's the first Nintendo console that I have zero interest in. It's a hand held littered with ports from last gen.

I've an Xbox one elite console. I also have Forza 6 and R Replay.

I'm seriously not blinded. Back in the day I swapped my SNES just for a couple of days with a friend. I couldn't wait to get my SNES back. I was shocked by the poor quality of, not only the games but the console itself. The cables were really thick and hard to bend. It just didn't look a classy as the SNES.

I'm not a fanboy I play all the consoles from all the manufacturers, and have always done, but I know what I like and I wasn't impressed with the MD.

Btw I played Virtual racing in the arcade and on the MD. In the arcade you could hear my jaw hitting the floor. No other game ever made that kind of a impact on me graphically. On the MD it was ok. An arcade port as such. My friend had it. Good golf games on MD.

I have the the Mega drive ultimate collection on PS3. I'd never sell it.

When Starfox was originally released I was amazed. I know it's nothing by today's standards, but it was great then to have a console that could do 3d. The Mega drive couldn't do this. 😊 I felt like I was playing a game that cost millions to produce. Bit innocent now I know, but there you go ☺️

It wasn't as good as SMK, which I and a lot of people considered to be the SNES's best game, but it was still good.

I am planning on playing Yoshi's island to completion and Star fox 2 and I'll give SMK a bash. There could have been more games but to be honest I'm just glad it's actually being released at all. It's a unique little device with some of the greatest games from a very special era in gaming. Like you I'm 99% sure/hoping I will receive one.
