I pre-ordered with Zavvi once and they messed me around. I pre-ordered 'Williams pinball classics' on PS3. They promised it'd be on time. A week after it was supposed to arrive I decided to cancel my order as it wasn't despatched and I'd bought a copy on the high street. I eventually managed to cancel my order which included making a phone call.

A week or two later the game was un-cancelled and was on it's way to me. It arrived about 3 weeks after it was originally promised.

They defiantly broke consumer law, sending me an order I'd cancelled, but what can you do? I'd never go near them again.

Do you know what game didn't play well on PS2? F Zero GX or any Nintendo games for that matter. GameCube's best games were better than ps2's best games.

Resident evil 4 played better and looked better on GameCube due to the GameCube's superior architecture.

Why are you even talking about the PS2?

I like the bit where they say "in their own time". It's like Nintendo know the appreciation Wii u will get in the future. Wii u's will be gold dust and I have one......evil laugh.

I have to comment on the last sentence of the article. There is nothing brave about buying a console. The 13 million people who bought a Wii u were lucky enough to have the brains to know Nintendo are the greatest games company and nothing beats a Nintendo console.

I did a little test today with SM64. Its the only VC game I have on both Wii and Wii u. I did find a very small dead zone on the Wii u version which is not on the Wii. I'm taking very small. I guess it's the emulation software which may not be an easy fix.

It's a pity because F Zero X is a legend of a game and nothing will ever change that. I'm glad I never transferred my Wii VC games to Wii u.

Were you able to test this issue with the Wii version? I've the Wii version and I use the original classic controller, while not the perfect setup I'm able to enjoy the game. I tested it today and there is a bit of a dead zone on Wii.

Is the Wii u worse than Wii or the same? That's what I want to know? I really want this game in 60hz.

I agree with you 100% but unfortunately a lot of people missed out on Wii u. Ports are an easy way to sell existing games to new audiences. I like you want new games.

I'd like to see Pikmin 2 with new play controls. I have jungle beat it's brilliant.

I know one thing, it'll be impossible to get a new Wii u this time next year.

This has to be the worst idea I've heard all day. This is about as low as it gets. Horrible.

I wouldn't mind getting other Wii u before it's to late. Just to have 🤗.

I have the cart as well which I bought the day it was released for £45 back in the day. Unfortunately there is a problem with my N64 console. I hope to get it fixed someday.

I love everything about F Zero X.

If it's 60hz I'll buy it. I never transferred my Wii games to Wii u and I'm not going to. F Zero X is one of, if not my favourite game ever, and I always wanted the 60hz version. I still play it on Wii and it still plays like a dream.

What's not good about my comparison? What consoles had the best games N64 or ps1 / GameCube or ps2? I couldn't give a rats about 3rd party support. I have a PS4 for that. 3rd party publishers know it's hard to make money on Nintendo consoles. Nothing has changed.

The problem I see and I could be way off. Nintendo don't have reps on the ground like Sony and M$ do in the U.K. And definitely not in Ireland.

I'm going back to the GameCube era. I was looking at the window display of HMV. Xbox and PS2 were clearly seen and in the corner on its lonesome was the GameCube, you could barely see it. Nintendo don't have reps coming into these shops telling them "put that there and I'll give you this" but I'd say Sony do. You need reps coming in all the time with promotions.

Anyone could make this prediction. This reminds me of when the N64 was being released. The carts were 8mb at the beginning, how on earth were they going to compete with the PlayStations massive 700mb? GameCube hade 1.5gb compared to ps2 4gb.

There's nothing to worry about people.

It was, but it looks like they have realised that Switch will not attract the 3ds buyers. Switch is more a replacement for Wii u than 3ds. It's going to get messy.

The Wii ruined the GameCube chance of being ultra rare. I've a brand new sealed GameCube for over 10 years but because of the Wii it's only worth about €200. It would have been worth €500 if them 100million Wii's out there didn't play GameCube games.

But your right Wii u games and consoles are going to be very expensive in the future. I'd love to pick up a cheap one and pack it away. 🙂 Make a few pound. 😃 I imagine it'll be the most expensive console yet.

What I see is a console that hopefully will hit 30 million in sales. It will not have the impact the Wii had. It's certainly a step up from the Wii u.

Games nowadays are up to 50gb, how big are these carts? Or do they need a big download top up?

On the bright side, it's an new era for Nintendo and Switch is designed so Nintendo can focus on one platform which has not being the case since the early days of the NES. More games has gotta be good.

Omg you just blasphemed 2 of my favourite games of ever. Sunshine and Dash. 😃 The 2 characters in dash is a bit of a gimmick but it's the handling and the track design and just the hectic pace that does it for me

I've all the home version of MK games as well.

You be mad to trade in your retro games and consoles for the prices I'm sure they're offering.

The GameStop where I live I wouldn't go near the place. The prices are scandalous and new games are opened and covered in stickers. Horrible place. Cex, Argos and online is where I buy my games.

Sorry guys I had Sonic racing transformed on PS3. I only traded it in recently. I'm not looking to get into a big debate 🤓 but no way on Gods earth is Sonic racing transformed superior to Mario kart 8.

I don't see Nintendo competing with Apple or Google. If I want to play a video game I choose from PS4, Xbox or Wii u. The iPad or my android phone never enters my mind.

Nintendo are competing with Sony and M$ and anybody who says they're not is incorrect. Nintendo created the modern video games market but now they're competing in the tablet market? What they are trying to do is broaden they're scope.
