@demacho for me at least the opposite, sad just how friendly they are to them in these comments sections...I would not know about certain exclusionist groups if not for people hawking them on this site for instance, and it depresses me

i remember loving an xbox live indie game with a similar concept to this as a kid, albeit it was much more limited in scope, so this sounds dope

the sheer joy in the announcer lady's voice announcing paid dlc before the game is even out was painful, as someone who loved the octo expansion

see I was thinking of Blokus

big man's the only real notable member designwise, feel like there might be some sort of rakugo joke with shiver that's lost in translation given her appearance on the news

similarly, the splatfest feels more "matsuri"-esque than "idol performance"-esque this time

having now played it, the complaints about control issues are baffling, especially in the first half (ie silver case)--they're extremely simple, and if you have trouble with the rotary dial style you can just hold l to bring up shortcuts for each command

it also pretty clearly marks spots of interaction and almost forgoes all puzzles about halfway through, so most of its cryptic-ness seems to come from the story alone

having played 25th ward as well now, the cryptic-ness is even less present with the game spelling out all puzzles for you if pressed and the control scheme, while different, is not much more clunky. i can see the complaint about the characters, but there are plenty of likable ones here too. again--baffling review

man that would've been wicked, not that i'm necessarily dissatisfied with the current score but man

japan's cover shows better the wonderful world of the picori, so it's a clear winner

still the best zelda game to this day

i guess there's remote play together, but even on ethernet its a huge crapshoot

@NinjaWaddleDee as far as i can tell the characters are locked until you pay coin/whatever the v-bucks equivalent is called to unlock them, unless you have the founders pack stuff (source: most of my playing was grinding so i could play jake the dog)

moreso than the extremely floaty combat with next to no feedback, it's the 30 second loops of middling orchestral covers that hold this game back

playing on the steven universe stage for longer than 2 minutes is like going to get lobotmized

@Lizuka the second I found out you had to unlock the characters either through coins got from dailies or extremely drip-feed coins from toasts was when I clocked out

getting concerned some of you play mario kart maybe a bit too seriously

@HADAA i'd argue the tempo implied is slightly different ("liver-live" without the IPA implies less of a stop/more slurring between sounds, could put this in better words but my linguistics course was like a year ago) but yes it's a dialect-based thing

the article is asking how we pronounce it, not whether that's the correct way, i don't really assume there's any argument

"lihv-ah-lihv" is not quite "liver-live"

@NeonPizza well, when the other 4 are inherently not too original and half of them suck, its kind of expected the most balanced and at least attempting to do something new will get blown up

honestly, to some extent this irritates me--one of the joys of dark souls is theorizing and coming up with your own conclusions, and codifying it in a text (unofficial as it might be) would very easily lead to one common agreed upon theory/people pointing towards it as the "canon theory," kind of dismantling that on the whole
