@DestructoDisk I feel like this more says you haven't read many reviews than anything; movie/television (and restaurant, certainly) reviews, in the paper or otherwise, are much in line with this one, even just regular product rules tend to have subjective biases (i.e.: a review of a speaker saying it's too bassy, or a TV's colors looking off--this varies person to person)

this is the entire reason behind looking at multiple reviews

@BloodNinja I mean, the reddit comment links to that, yes? (2 articles, one link to another reddit post that is easily corroborated) hence why I said "compiling various things"; did you click through or just ignore it on basis of being a reddit comment?

@Atmosfear this is worth noting as well so thank you, looks like OpenOOT/Open Ocarina is the one made by this other dude which is commonly labelled just "OOT PC Port"; it's easy to see where someone could not know which it is

@Euler (insert spiel on this being legal that others have written for me a million times on other articles)

@ThePizzaCheese you seem really desperate to shut down any conversation about this and frankly it's a little disconcerting

it's not like him being horrible makes the OOT port less of an achievement, it just puts a bad air about it (and from what i'm reading he already didn't have a lot of standing in the community due to stuff like this; SgtMarkIV-style), and i don't think it's a bad thing if people know so it can factor in whether or not to support it (and/or opt for a fork of the project)

@PBandSmelly as a counterpoint to this other guy, I appreciate you commenting this because otherwise I would have had no idea, jesus

i feel like "being more forgiving" is a lot to ask given what i'm reading here

@Azuris here's someone's reddit post compiling various things from a couple weeks or so ago https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/tfkz4a/comment/i0xgb7b/

@Travisemo007 this comment is so corny it's ridiculous, just say you like the anime and go, no need to bring out the "I really need to justify my enjoyment of something on the internet so I am gonna play loose with moral arguments" playbook

thought we as anime fans had moved past trying to justify the "actually 100000" trope but i guess acknowledging a part of something sucks makes the entire thing suck to some people

Re: Video: Switch Online Could Learn A Lot From Xbox Game Pass

i am absolutely baffled at the "No thanks. I want to keep the games." comments--YOU AREN'T KEEPING THEM WITH THE NSO NES/SNES/N64/GENESIS/DLC PACKS ALREADY, THIS IS ARGUING THAT PORTION COULD HAVE A WIDER SELECTION--it is literally in no way a downgrade to expand it a la gamepass

like, complain about it if you want, but it is not an exclusively XBOX/Microsoft thing, that's the entire point!

Re: The Zelda: Ocarina Of Time PC Port Is Finished And Out Now

been wondering why fangames and stuff like this always get the "what if they did something unique and their own instead!" but never fanart, mockup videos of What If Game Was Super HD/faux anime trailers, etc.

just makes me think about how the dude working on dragon ball super was originally doing dragon ball fan-manga, and i doubt he was getting the geek equivalent of "Well if you just APPLIED yourself"
