@TheDonutGamer To be fair on the author, Liam, those who have been following Notch's various meltdowns on twitter will understand where Mojang/Microsoft's reps stand and also their subsequent statement.

In any case, a quick google-fu will bring up a small sample of his previous doings on the twit ter verse. Even his wiki page (which I'll link here) has a section, albeit abridged:

Re: Kariosoft Releasing Three Simulation Games On Switch eShop Next Week

The early Kairosoft games (which include the three above) don't have microtransactions. They were paid apps that had all functionality available at the start.

Somewhere down the line, Kairosoft played around with several different monetisation models. A few of their games (if memory serves correctly) were free to download but you had to pay to have the full version, kinda like Super Mario Run in a way. Further on from that they went the free-to-play-but-look-here-lots-of-michael-transactions-for-you route for a number of titles.

It goes without saying that the games using the former two monetisation models were more fun (at least for me) while games using that latter had to rely on some form of community competition to entice people to cash in, which in some way impacted the game's fun factor.

Re: Nintendo Switch Now Has Over 700 Games

Too much variety in fact... all the games add up and while it's always sad to hear of game ports passing the Switch, the current library is overwhelmingly large that my backlog of games is at least 10x that of mine during the WiiU era No games indeed.

Re: Peter Molyneux's The Trail: Frontier Challenge Is Out Right Now On Switch

I had this game on mobile. Back then it was alright and decent enough to put in a couple of dollars as a thanks to the devs. That said, the need for premium currency does overtake the game's fun and eventually I stopped. I've heard of the PC version but the fact that I would have to be grounded to one location to play didn't make a compelling enough argument for me to buy it.

This however... yeah, I wouldn't mind returning to this world one more time Will wait for the NA release...
